  1. ###Match 1
  2. ###BTC Judgement
  3. Guy versus Fem
  4.
  5. Round 1
  6. Guy
  7. * Superboy instantly bodies Origin and thus makes this 3v2.
  8. * Kaneki has good piercing which is good against Fem's team, especially Garou
  9. * Superboy is strong fast and durable
  10. * Cap is strong fast and durable
  11. * Ergo, Team Guy wins.
  12.
  13. Fem
  14. * Stat establishment to why Team Fem is good
  15. * Team Fem is more skilled then Team Guy
  16. * Superboy having one good feat does not mean he consistently possesses good feats.
  17. * Captain America Gameplay Mechanics may imply some kind of awareness outside of reactions
  18. * Kaneki has no speed feats
  19. * Origin instantly being obliterated requires an assumed speed and an assumed intent
  20.
  21. Judge's Notes: Good defense on the part of Fem. I think the instant disassembly challenge was well put, and it helps "take away" with what should basically be an auto-win condition. I do not have much feedback for Guy as much, but one thing I think Fem doesn't do as well is the assumed skill advantage. What exactly SHOWS assumed skill advantage? All you do is SAY they do without backing it up, and then provide what is effectively conjecture. Does skill necessarily mean the things you describe? Or is it something that's a bit more nebulous in terms of advantage?

  23. Round 2
  24. Guy
  25. * Superboy HAS the relevant speed AND has the in-character feats to do so.
  26. * Kaneki has >0.1 second movement
  27. * Garou's tactics won't work on non-humans.
  28. * Team Guy > Team Fem
  29.
  30. Fem
  31. * The speeds at which Superboy CAN disassemble Origin is NOT as fast as the speeds which Origin can respond and do something about it.
  32. * Origin will also likely not be in touch range.
  33. * Superboy will IC target Garou
  34. * Ken is really slow
  35. * Captain America is slow
  36.
  37. Judge's Notes: While I did not buy the skill argument from last round, Guy also doesn't contest what I think was a fairly bad and vulnerable point to jump on. While I do not advocate trying to take a GOTCHA at every bad point your opponent makes, it does help pile your own credibility and discredits some potential iffy claims they make. Ultimately, I think Ken is a fatally bad pick. 0.1 second timeframes compared to the feats that Fem posted is... kind of pathetic honestly without giving some absurdly generous interpretation. That said, I think Guy did a proper defense about Fem's argument of: "But this is only one instance!" by showing more, and suggests some kind of consistency on the part of Superboy's speed.

  39. I do not have much more to say with that and I do think Fem wins this. While I don't find much issue with Guy's arguments as a whole, I think Kaneki is unironically a dead-weight pick, while Superboy is arguably the strongest character present, I don't believe he has such a massive stat advantage to where he can hard carry having one teammate that is hilariously slow. That said I don't quite buy Fem's argument that Captain America is 'aware' of the bullets coming, in much the same way that I think that gameplay mechanics also have to exist to inform the PLAYER of certain happenings. A good example about this is how I am quite certain mini-maps in video games are not a canonical indication of some kind of sixth sense the characters possess, but rather serve to inform the players.

  41. That said, I do think Fem wins this with a better team of having 3 solid and servicable picks, versus guy's 1 great pick, one solid pick and one god awful pick.
