- 13:57] "I was hoping to ask you if you knew about the whereabouts of my deceased father's bow."
- "Red Spirit Of Vengeance, I believe it's called. Do you happen to have any knowledge of who may have it."
- His expression was plain, a slight annoyance could be seen but it wasn't directed at them. But more of a... bigger problem that was nagging at the back of his mind.
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- 13:57] A glance is given over to Eliphas, before their arms fold across their chest, looking down to the boy.
- "It's in my possession. My bow, which I intend to use in coming months."
- A sagely nod is given, with a humble smile. It were the honest, unbridled truth.
- (Seth pyr Docro)
- :01] It was almost a subtle reaction as the corner of the Aegeus's lips slightly curved downwards.
- Cold steel eyes met the Dorco as he leveled to their gaze.
- "I see... so your the person who has my father's bow..."
- "Everything had a price, does it not?" he inquired with a slight shift with his brow. "It's a treasured item to me, something that he left behind that I plan to wield of my own. So you must understand where I'm coming from."
- "It's probably the only thing that he's left behind for me. So if you can, I'd be willing to buy it off from you."
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- 14:05] Eliphas wanted empathy from the Docro, in every sense of the words meaning. He wanted his bow, and much to Seth's surprise and delight? He spoke the universal language that were shared across all of Eternia.
- Coin.
- Any sort of distaste in the Docro's expression melts away, a soft smile crossing their visage with a nod.
- "Sixty thousand coins. That's the price. That? Or I'll offer you another way of obtaining it."
- "Get me my mothers Orquidea. I've collected her cloak, but the weapon is the next thing of hers I want to hold on to."
- "I'm sure the latter, is better in mutual interest. Otherwise? I'll happily accept the sixty thousand."
- (Seth pyr Docro)
- 14:13] "Sixty thousand coins..."
- He uttered those words in disbelief. "Surely you jest." Eliphas's lips thinned as there would only be two more options presented before him.
- "Your mother's... What? Orquidea? I'm afraid I wouldn't even know where to find such an item." which was true, he didn't know where such an item could be held. Nor did he even know who their mother was.
- "Of course. The last thing I'd want to do is pry the bow from you mangled body." his eyes narrowed as he floated there as silence filled the space between the two.
- Eliphas had plans to acquire his father's bow by any means necessary. Regardless of the process it'd take to get it. But for the sake of his Guardians, he opted for a less.. Vuglar method.
- Laughter escaped his lips as he'd wave his previous threat off. "Kidding! Kidding… I would never come to such atrocities at the start. We have yet to come to an agreement after all!"
- "So.. How about twenty thousand coins for the bow?" his brow rose. "That, or giving me more detail to who your mother is. Or who may be in possession of that item."
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- 14:20] There were a smile that widened at Eliphas' threat. Oddly enough? Not a shred of fear presented itself within their expression as their maroon eyes remained locked onto Eliphas' own.
- "You should be careful the things you say, Eliphas. Now I'm going to be aware of you, if you try anything."
- "Someone who was smart, with real intent, wouldn't have so boldly declared they'd even attempt such a thing."
- "In short? If you're going to make empty threats, I invite you to fully try it."
- There were a pause, before the cloak were shrugged further onto the boys shoulders.
- "Sixty thousand coins and not a coin less. That is what I paid for it. Normally? I'd charge you a premium for it using up my chest space. If you intend on being an insufferable jackass?"
- "I'll just keep it and let you try your luck."
- A mild scoff is returned to Eliphas, arms folding across their chest... That maroon gaze never turning from him.
- "I don't know where the Orquidea is. Maybe if you used that inhuman nose of yours, you can sniff it out. Just like you did me."
- (Seth pyr Docro)
- 14:28] Leon Ebner had warned him about the Docro's steep price, so had the pyr Aertas.
- Each and every person that he had asked about his father's belongings had given him the same answer. All expect for a specific individual.
- His hues illuminated with a shade of blue as he hovered forward, pressing his face towards Seth's as the corners of his lips pulled upwards.
- Eliphas opted to ignore the words of the Rhonyish, not caring for their meager words as they weren't a priority as of now. Yet, the Docro was.
- After years of searching, of trying to find the one who held the very item that was stolen from his heritage.
- They were now here.
- There was little to no information given about their mother's item, and they clearly didn't opt to lower the outrageous price.
- So there was only thing left to do.
- No words escaped from his lips as his hand fell to the hilt of his blade.
- Sparks flew as he ripped themetal blade from it's guard as an arc of violent flames gathered around it's metallic finish.
- With his free hand open as a ball of flame collected around his digits, he hovered it's edge towards the Docro's neck. Only offering a grin as he took up their offer.
- It was inevitable, for his will to clash against the Docros.
- They say that history repeats itself, would it prove true today?
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- 14:38] As that blade seems to encroach upon their neck, Julian's shovel is raised, its handle butting up against the blades sharp edge. It weren't much, but it kept their throat from immediate laceration.
- "...Ah, so you're going to assault me on Academy grounds, then."
- "You intend to rob me out of the sixty thousand I paid for the bow. Even during peaceful negotiation. My had never did raise itself to you, did it?"
- A smile. A mocking one, that tilts to him.
- "I'll deal with you. Here, and now."
- A crack of his neck is delivered, before the shovel is swung upwards. A wall of ice seals off the archway towards the Arena, blocking any sort of steps Seth might've taken away. Instead? Those maroon eyes look not for an escape... But an opening, aiming to drive the shovel's bladed edge up Eliphas' throat. Nothing restrained.
- "Show me how the Blind City deals with being told 'No'. Show everyone."
- (Seth pyr Docro)
- 15:00] The two fought, pyromancy dominated the clearing in vicious flames that left a kiss off black to all surfaces. Where his explosions met raw flame, ice met his swordsmanship in kind.
- For every burst of condensed flames that had consumed Seth, there were something about the cloak they wore that seemed to wick away the flames, as if a small gap presented itself from those explosions from ever truly touching his skin. The Pheonix Down cloak they wore, an heirloom of their late mother, truly were an edge they'd need in this fight.
- His bladesmanship were dangerous. Enough to leave several marks on the cloak that soon mend themselves, though leaving permanent dents and scratches within their bluesteel armor. It were a mistake to try to become aggressive against Eliphas, instead opting to more range combat. The terrain was used to their advantage, ice zones his path of travel to redirect him to exactly where Seth wanted, before engulfing him in flames.
- The final moments of their fight, Eliphas brushes past his flames, eager to land that final blow, only for Seth's widened stance to grab him by the wrist, redirecting his blade, before yanking him in close. A shoulder greets his face, snapping his jaw off to the side. It'd be slack for the months to come, unable to properly shut it.
- Seth, on the other hand? Rises. They were wounded, but not nearly as bad as Eliphas.
- "Since we're going to be so blatantly robbing one another? I'll be taking your coins. Perhaps that sword, too."
- "You should have been more civil, Eliphas."
- With that, a knee is taken. Aiming to loot him.
- (Seth pyr Docro)
- 15:30] Magics collided as the two fought against the other.
- Hot flames battled another as his explosions combated Seth's ice.
- As flames gathered around his blade's cold edge, he rushed towards the Docro as he swung his blade relentlessly towards their form.
- Learning swordplay from a young age, he knew that it was best to attack fast and quick before retreating back. He's performed this several and several times before, each challenger that he's faced, every conquest he's made. But Seth's prowess with ice magic was something that he shouldn't have undermined.
- The Aegeus slashed away at the teen's form, waves of fire followed in his wake as he pushed on the Docro. Shoving them further back into the underground arena as he advanced.
- However something caught the Aegeus's eye.
- Every attack he laid, each time he tore away at their body. His flames would never stay, almost as if they were being put outby an unforeseen force. Or even being consumed.
- Regardless, it wouldn't prevent his oncoming onslaught as he chased them down; dancing away only when necessary as it'd take some time to collect himself.
- As the battled raged on, Eliphas couldn't help but feel as if he had completely underestimated the teen.
- They traded, blow for blow. But with the battle coming towards it's final phase, he quickly recognized that his movements being played with. As he moved around to avoid the ice talons, he quickly found himself being trapped from within. As if he was stuck inside of a maze that Seth designed.
- As he chanced a glance to realize what game was being played, he felt an inferno rushing towards him from his side.
- Turning quickly, he knew that the two were tired, exhausted even. So he took his chances as he raised his blade to charge the oncoming wave, moving to slash through it as flames burned away at his clothes.
- With Eliphas coming out on the other side, he quickly found at that he had missed his target.
- Instead, he felt a firm grip being placed upon his wrist.
- The unforeseen force yanked him to the side as a hard force collided with his jaw, sending him spiraling towards the ground in a daze.
- Blood.. A slick taste came to fruition as he felt a numbing pain at his mouth. As he tried to move his mouth to speak, a sharp pain came in response. Telling him that it was definitely broken.
- Growning as he slowly pushed himself to a stand. He sheathed his blade as he glared at the individual that stood before him, his eyes lingering on them before he moved to walk off. Remembering their words as he planned to come back for them.
- For his father's bow.
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
- 15:39] No further notion is made to capture Eliphas, instead, the Docro's squinting maroon stare locked upon them. This bow were going to be a troublesome prize, if Eliphas were to continue his relentless assaults like this. Ideally? This afternoons turn of events. A soft scoff escapes his lips as the sword is drawn from his figure, and strapped to his own side; after looting his figure of five thousand coins.
- A glance, then finds itself wandering to Blair.
- "I suppose so. I did offer him two fair alternatives to this outcome... Hopefully? He'll opt to one of the two."
- "It was not a cheap bow. But my mothers stave? I'd trade it in a heartbeat for that."
- A nod, before they take steps to join Blair at his side, calling out to Eliphas.
- "Next time you try some stupid shit like that? I'm locking you in a cage in the basement with my pet Ogre."
- With that? Seth sets his pace to return to the place he stood before.
- (Seth pyr Docro)
- 15:52] Not paying the Docro any further attention, Eliphas walked away in defeat. His weapon stolen, along with his coin. Such was an utter... defeat for the man.
- As he moved off, he ignored their calls as the only thing that held his priority at the moment was fixing his broken jaw.
- (Eliphas Aegeus)
