>"Uhm… please excuse me sire but..  I do not really have all that much experience with ah… taking care of children. Are you sure you want me to be the one to look over your son?" Jevil asked as he followed the well-dressed Spade King to the big castle doors.
>"You are the only person I trust at the moment who can fulfill such a duty. Seam is busy with his own things and the troops are busy looking for my beloved wife. And that Roulxs Kaard is not one in which I would entrust with my son with a ten foot pole! So yes, I entrust you. Merely because nobody else I trust is available."
>"H-how long will you be gone, sire?" Jevil asked nervously.
>"Not too long, I hope. I have some business to attend to in the Scarlett Forest. I won't be gone for long, I assure you. Just do your best to take care of my boy."
>"Alr-"
>Before Jevil could finish, the doors closed as the Spade King was now on his way, leaving Jevil alone in the throne room, sighing and shaking his head.
>"Oh gods… what am I to do, do…" He muttered to himself, turning around and seeing the toddler Lancer run around the throne room, throwing around the riches that were neatly stored in the chests beside the walls.
>"H-hey, no no! Don't do that now, Lancer… come on! Gah!" He yelled as Lancer threw a bunch of diamonds and coins at him, giggling loudly as he ran beside him and towards the throne itself.
>"I am the king now!" Lancer declared, sitting on the throne that was much too big for him, arms and legs crossed as he kept his head up high.
>"Ahahah… maybe some day, little Lancer! Now now, please, let's get out of the throne room before you uh…"
>He took a second to look around and sighed. He'd clean it up himself later…
>"...well, how does some dinner sou- hey!"
>Lancer was now running quickly out the throne room and down the halls, throwing aside the handfuls of gems and coin he had, making quite the mess.
>"Get back here Lancer! Don't let yourself get hurt now…!"
>Jevil quickly followed behind Lancer, turning corners and bumping into some guards, apologizing quickly as he continued.
>Eventually he caught up to Lancer, catching his breath and panting as he saw lancer raiding the fridge in the kitchen, where a Hathy was, stirring a kettle and looking over at Lancer with a look of confusion, before turning to Lancer and frowning.
>"M-my apologies, Hathy… I… I let him out of my sight for one moment and… ugh…"
>The Hathy shook her head and continued doing her work. Before Jevil could walk in and take Lancer away from the kitchen, he saw his good friend Seam turn the corner, holding several scrolls under one of his arms and examining a pocketwatch.
>"Ah! Ah, Seam, dear friend… I know you must be quite busy at the moment, moment but could you please… help me for a moment with Lancer?"
>"Oh? What's the matter with him, Jevil?"
>"He's just… ah, well the Spade King left me to take care of his son while he went to take care of some personal matters, but… I've never had any experience with children before and-"
>"And he's proven to be quite the handful, I assume?" Seam asked, smirking a little.
>"Ye… yes. Quite so, honestly… Could you maybe take a minute or two of your time to help me please? If anything just to get him to his room?"
>Seam looked over at the kitchen, where Lancer was happily eating away at some Choco Diamonds, then looked back down at his pocketwatch. He then looked back up at Jevil with a warm smile.
>"I can spare some time, of course. I know how hard it can be to take care of him, believe me."
>"He always entrusted you to take care of Lancer, that I know. But the Spade King has noticed you've been quite busy the past few days assisting him."
>"Ah, yes well, like I said I can spare a few minutes if anything for you, friend. Lancer!" Seam called to him, walking into the kitchen and closing the fridge.
>"Come on Lancer, it's time to take you to your room. And don't eat too many of those now! Supper it almost ready after all. Don't wanna ruin your appetite now do you?" Seam chuckled as Lancer nodded, but kept nomming away at a Choco Diamond anyway.
>Jevil followed behind the two, smiling softly and admiring Seam. With the two of them together to keep the spirits and morale high in this castle, what could go wrong?
