✎ . . . Well, technically, Hyeyeon wasn't always a cold b*tch. Sure, she never was what you call a "perfectly nice" girl but hey! She had her moments.
We can say that all of it started when she was 15, Hyeyeon was young, naive and kind of dumb. She was born into a wealthy family that raised her inside a gold cage so it was reasonable that she didn't have much idea of anything outside it and no one could really control what people said about her, being it about her own self or just her family, who had the little detail of being one of the main investors of the school, capable of providing (almost) everything they could so they children would be safe.
Anyways, Hyeyeon was alone. Not because she wanted it, no. Because people were too scared or too disgusted at her, or at least what they thought she was. It wasn't until she reached that age that a small group of girls approached her. For the first time in a long time.
Her life was okay, mostly. She now had a friends that actually liked her and her parents finally agreed to let her do the things she wanted. Everything was okay. Until it wasn't.
Nasty rumors were spread everywhere, not just the silly rumors that she was already used to, no, they were worst, they were filled with venom and involved things that she never even thought about doing. Rumors that followed her every time she stepped into any room, rumors that were slowly destroying her.
Of course, she wanted to know who was spreading them. I mean, who wouldn't? But of course, she didn't expect them to be her own friends, people that Hyeyeon learned to trust even when she didn't even trust her own shadow.
From that point, the rest seemed like a dream or (more like a nightmare), her parents found out and paid a lot of money to expulse everyone who was involved with the spread of the rumors, with the threat that there would be a lawsuit coming for them unless they agreed to leave.
And so, things went downhill. Hyeyeon became the girl she is now, promising herself that no one else would ever go over her again without fighting back.

— RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE:
✎ . . . It began when they were on the music club together as there was a part that was designed to be the one with all the spotlight. Everyone knew that Hyeyeon and Wooseok were the best at what they do so they all expected them to fight over the thing. And they did. They got competive as hell and tried everything to make the other quit, of course it never worked. Both of them spent more time insulting and angrily thinking about each other than preparing for she solo.
Eventually, the students at the club started growing tired of their fights so instead of trying to stop them, they actually started making bets at who will confess first. Exactly, they were convinced that at least one of them had a tiny crush on the other and that's the reason why that person kept provoking the other like that. And of course, that was Hyeyeon.
She hated herself for that, I mean, who in their right mind would fall for somebody that spends half of his time flirting with everyone and the other half disturbing the hell out of a poor girl? I mean, Hyeyeon was always a bit dumb but that was excessive.
One day she noticed that, even if it was just to tease the other, both of them spent an awful quantity of time together so she decided to finally stop it for once and foerever to get over her embarrassing crush.
Wooseok didn't understand what happened as he actually enjoyed their dynamic a lot but then, every time he tried to say something to her she would walk away or just straight up pretend he even wasn't there. It was whilst missing her annoying presence that he realised his feelings for her.
It took them a lot of mutual (and silent) pining and jokes from their knowing friends to finally start dating.
