“Can I help you with something, mister…?” Shin asked the angry looking human death knight. The man’s dark plate mail was covered with the Oath’s tabard, and he glared angrily in every direction he looked. Shin had noticed the man scowling in confusion as he walked the streets of Dalaran and upon seeing him wearing the colors, thought he would lend a hand to what looked like a guild mate in need. The man seemed to be ignoring Shin. Shin stepped a bit closer.

“Hey buddy, you ok?” Shin asked. The man turned his head to figuratively burn holes into Shin’s face with his glowing eyes.

“You talkin’ ta me, boy?” The man said, a bit too loudly for normal conversation, even for being outdoors. Boy? This guy couldn’t be older than his early 20s. Shin shook off the confusion and tried to continue.

“Yeah, you looked confused and I thou-“

“Stop mumblin’ like a murloc and talk to me with ya whole face.” The man interrupted, shouting a bit. He looked Shin up and down like he was seeing him for the first time and his face softened just a bit.

“Wait, yer that big o’l bear, aintcha?” The man said, looking to the utterly confused and a bit uncomfortable Worgen standing before him. Shin felt a hint of relief for this conversation to finally be getting somewhere.

“Yeah, name’s Shin, Honor Guard of the Oath to Glory.” The man just stared at Shin, and Shin tried again.

“My name is Shin!” He yelled, a bit louder than he was comfortable. The man nodded. “That’s right, ye are that bear boy always runnin’ round with the other kids. Where’s the liberry, this place gots one right? Big fancy city in the sky gotta have a liberry.”

Shin did his best not to look at the guy like something was wrong with him, but the death knight didn’t seem to notice as he was angrily scanning the buildings again. Shin raised his voice to talk to the man again, ignoring the people watching him.

“What’s your name, recruit?” Shin said loudly and the man looked back to him. “Morris.” He spat, “Morris Cunningham. You work here?”

“Wha- No. I’m a Druid.”

“Grandpa!” A young boy called out. Shin saw Crouton running up to them and he stopped next to Morris to catch his breath. “Don’t run off like that.”

Shin looked between Crouton and Morris, his confusion reaching its zenith.

“Don’t sass me boy,” Morris said in the general direction of Crouton. “I was just askin’ this bear wolf where the liberry was.”
Crouton looked to Shin apologetically and whispered loud enough for Shin to hear. “Sorry, my grandpa has this habit of wandering off.”

Shin couldn’t take this anymore. “That young death knight is your grandpa?” Crouton nodded. “Yeah, strange story, but that’s not his body. Lich King death knight mix up apparently. I don’t really get it either but I feel responsible for taking him out every now and again, when Salad gives me days off. Otherwise he stays cooped up in Acherus, or slipping out on that damn frostwyrm he somehow tamed-”

“TRAVIS, LETS GO OL’ BOY!” They both heard Morris yelling from a distance. The whipped around to see Morris astride a frostwyrm, diving over the walls.

Crouton yelped and took off running towards the young old man, leaving Shin in the middle of the street, confused and blinking. Glow just lets anyone in the guild nowadays it seems.

Bee stepped up next to Shin holding a large ice cream cone in either hand, taking large bites out of each of them and looking up to Shin.

“Dalaran has the best ice cream, I guess floating above Northrend for 8 years will do that. Go get you some! It’s good as fuck.” The gnome took another bite from each cone and gestured with her head towards a nearby candy stand. “Ooh, let’s get some candy before we head back.”

She ran off towards the candy vendor and Shin smiled, walking after her.
