Years had been sunk into executing this melding of energies. He was able to harmonize them perfectly while inside of his doll but that wasn't what he was wanting to do. He had intended to use this blended energy inside of himself, wanting to use his own power fully.

 He took a deep breath as he read over his notes once more and compiled them back into his journal , the pages binding themselves into the book, a little trick he had learned in the decades of his work. Closing them he let out his breath as he began focusing his power inside of himself.

 He felt the familiar changes starting to take place as aspects of his doll made themselves known. His nails becoming claws and his canines elongating. Then came the magical energy, he felt heat searing through himself and something he hadn't been expecting happened as the changes that had happened reverted.

 Behind him his Doll reappeared but different, they seemed humanoid , the shadowy figure looked upon him with Crimson eyes as this felt different then when he normally used his power. He just stared at the Specter as he felt an understood protection from them, the fusion of Magic and Soul energy having seemed evolved his power as the strain of harboring his power inside of himself seemed to of vanished but the unity with his soul seemed to be still there. “This is unexpected” he said as the concentration he had up until now faded. His power fading as he was left with quite a bit to contemplate as his experiment was a success to some degree, he just wasn't sure as to what it had exactly done.
