  1. Relic Name: "Constant Cube" / "Unchanging Box"
  2.
  3. Physical Description: A silver box measuring 15.675... by 15.675... by 15.675... centimetres. The faces of the Constant Cube is completely flat, with absolutely no protrusions or bumps. Measuring the box revealed that the length, width, and height of the box are completely the same, but are irrational by our units of measurement. The weight of the box is 3851.435... grams, exactly that of a cube of water of the same dimensions at room temperature. The temperature of the box never changes, even when an extreme heat or an extreme cold is applied to it. It always stays at a constant 20 degrees Celsius, or 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The box can be picked up bare-handed after being subjected to a flame. No damage was able to be inflicted to the box and it was subjected to strikes, crushing, and pressure tests. Hydraulic presses broke when attempted to be used on the box.

  5. Ability: Due to the nature of this relic, relic scientists theorize that the box was used as a 'constant' by abyssal civilizations. Scientists refer to the box as being 1 by 1 by 1 of its own unit. This form of measurement became very popular in Orth, where the cube was brought to, and was soon known by another name: Abyss Lengths (or just lengths). Due to its usefulness in science, the relic was bumped up to a grade 2 artefact, from a grade 4 when it was found. Scientists are still unsure why the creators of the artefact chose such a random length, as it did not correspond to many of their current systems (such as millimetres, which are based off of the distance light travels in a vacuum in a certain amount of time). Perhaps the length was not used specifically for a scientific use, but rather general-purpose, by engineers and civilians.
