- I strongly recommend playing the game on a Super Nintendo using a
Super Game Boy. These are the setting I use (accessed by hitting L & R).

- The game does not keep track of your play time.
- You can use B to end some messages. This is not possible in the DX
version.

- The rupees you find outside of chests are only worth 1 rupee.
- Unlike in previous installments, there's no flexibility when it ocmes
to the order in which can complete the dungeons (unless you leave after
getting the new item).
- Poking destructible walls with your sword produces a different sound.
These walls don't always have cracks on them.

- Talk to Tarin to get the Shield. You can't leave until you do.

- Get the Sword.

- Play the Trendy Game (10 R) until you have enough money to buy the
Shovel. If you're the patient type, you can go ahead and get the Bow
as well. The Shovel won't be necessary until after Level 2 and the Bow
not until quite a bit later.

Items: 50 R, Toadstool, Magic Powder, Tail Key
- Give the Toadstool to the witch to get some Magic Powder. Use the
powder on the raccoon to reach the chest with the key.
- Magic Powder will still kill the diagonally moving skull-things, but
this won't give you a fairy.

- Newcomers to the series might get stuck in one of the northern rooms
where you have to push a block to open the door (I sure as hell did).

further, but then you won't be able to get the Boomerang.
- One of the leaves is held by a crow. Throw a rock at the tree to
provoke it.
- Throw a rock at the door to reach the guy with the chain flail.
