- Status 10/17 and feelings about recent New Blood PB
- Had a lot of things I wanted to write down and talk about right before I went to bed last night but was too lazy/tired and just wanted to sleep so here we are now instead. I have mixed feelings about my recent PB. The best takeaway from it was that I have a deathless personal best again. It was really annoying to me that I had runs from time to time that were deathless but somehow were still worse than my previous personal best that had *2* deaths. The weird thing about my 1:41:18 (0 deaths) personal best compared to my 1:41:23 (2 deaths) is that I actually played better overall during my 2 death run rather than my 1:41:18. Some ops like 6-5 and 2-2 went really well but 6-4 and 6-6 were pretty terrible. It's just that deaths in New Blood (not to mention Trauma Center in general) are very, very costly and simply having a deathless run is a time saver. On the bright side however, chapter 6 by design is the most co-op intensive chapter in the game so these struggles are to be expected.
- Anyway I feel like I'm at the same point where I was with Second Opinion a few months ago where it felt impossible to get anywhere near SZSK's personal best/performance with this game. While it "feels" impossible I know it isn't. Like with Second Opinion I'm confident in my skill/potential with this game to get a much better time than what I have now. I just lack accuracy and consistency. Currently the goal is to at least get a sub 1:40 and then consistently get runs at that level for AGDQ. To do this, I think I'm going to attempt at least one Any% Hard run in the near future to see if there are any more operations that are more optimal to do on hard like the Aneurysms. In fact it might be a better idea to practice on Hard for awhile so Normal feels "easier" when I go back to it. Just some ideas I'm toying around with to try and improve this run.
