  45. ## Mechanics ##
  46.
  47. Before the fight, assign cardinal positions to melee and intercardinal positions to ranged. These will be used to soak Punishing Ray, spread Doomvoid Cleaver, and stack Dark Explosion. Additionally, each healer and tank will choose a DPS as their partner for Dark Explosion. Place markers like [this](https://i.imgur.com/MyozMG0.png).
  48.
  49.
  50. **Doomvoid**
  51.
  52. Voidwalker will cast three Doomvoid mechanics with no cast bar. They are the following:
  53. * **Doomvoid Cleaver**: Voidwalker shoots out line AoEs at all party members. Stand in your positions around the boss.
  54. * **Doomvoid Slicer**: A donut AoE. Stand inside the boss hitbox.
  55. * **Doomvoid Guillotine**: A large line AoE going through Voidwalker. Go to the sides of the boss to dodge it.
  56.
  57. After every Doomvoid Mechanic, multiple untargetable Nyx will spawn based on how many players resolved the mechanic correctly - the more correct, the more Nyx that will spawn. These float slowly towards the boss - touching one grants a Damage Down debuff as well as damage increased debuff. Doomvoid Cleaver and Doomvoid Slicer will spawn Nyx in cardinal and intercardinal positions, while Doomvoid Guillotine will spawn Nyx is a line.
  58.
  59. **Spell-in-Waiting**
  60.
  61. The other major mechanic of the fight. A casted spell that grants Voidwalker the Spell-in-Waiting buff. The next spell cast will have a delayed effect. It will give players a debuff - once that debuff resolves, the spell will go off.
  62.
  63. **Unholy Darkness**
  64.
  65. An AoE stack marker. This can be affected by Spell-in-Waiting.
  66.
  67. **Dark Fire III**
  68.
  69. AoE markers will appear over random players. This can be affected by Spell-in-Waiting.
  70.
  71. **Shadoweye**
  72.
  73. A gaze mechanic on a random player. Players will have to look away from targeted player. This will always be affected by Spell-in-Waiting.
  74.
  75. **Hell Wind**
  76.
  77. Brings two random DPS's health down to 1. This will always be affected by Spell-in-Waiting.
  78.
  79. **Flare**
  80.
  81. A proximity marker on a tank, healer, and DPS. This can be affected by Spell-in-Waiting. Have the DPS go to A, the healer go to B, and the Tank go to C.
  82.
  83. **Hand of Erebos**
  84.
  85. The Hand of Erebos will spawn on either the east or west side of the arena and tether to the boss. It will do either Empty Hate or Empty Rage.
  86. * **Empty Rage**: Indicated by the orange tether. A large AoE - be on the other side of the arena to be safe.
  87. * **Empty Hate**: Indicated by the black tether. A knockback from the side the hand spawns on. Use Surecast/Arms Length, or be on the side the hand is on.
  88.
  89. **Punishing Ray**
  90.
  91. Eight puddles appear on the ground in cardinal positions around the centre and intercardinal positions around the edges. Players must go to their designated spots to soak these. Standing in one afflicts the player with a light bleed. Once the puddles resolve, it deals light magic raidwide damage.
  92.
  93. **Dark Explosion**
  94.
  95. All tanks/healers and DPS are marked with light or dark circles. Stack with your preassigned partner.
  96.
  97. **Shadowflame**
  98.
  99. A heavy magical tank buster on both tanks. Deals approximately 125 000 damage unmitigated.
  100.
  101. **Entropy**
  102.
  103. A moderate raidwide AoE. Also the World First Eden's Gate (Savage) Free Company.
  104.
  105. **Quietus**
  106.
  107. A heavy raidwide AoE. It also gives the boss a damage up buff stack.
  108.
  109. **Cycle of Chaos**
  110.
  111. Casts Doomvoid Guillotine, Doomvoid Slicer, and Doomvoid Cleaver in succession.
  112.
  113. **Cycle of Retribution**
  114.
  115. Casts Doomvoid Slicer, Doomvoid Cleaver, and Doomvoid Guillotine in succession.
  116.

  190. ## Fight Strategy ##
  191. **Phase 1:**
  192.
  193. + Pre-mitigate for Doomvoid Cleaver. As soon as the fight starts, get in your assigned protean positions. Simply rotate a tiny bit to dodge Nyx.
  194. + Stack for Unholy Darkness inside the boss hitbox - this will dodge Doomvoid Slicer. Dodge Nyx. Spread for Dark Fire III afterwards.
  195. + Do not panic for any Spell-in-Waiting mechanics.
  196. + Stand in assigned positions for Punishing Ray. It is best to move into it right before the puddle explodes, because there is a bleed tick, but it is not too important.
  197. + Players that get Dark Fire III should spread out beforehand to ensure no one clips each other.
  198. + After Spell-in-Waiting Dark Fire III goes off, stack behind the boss.
  199. + The player targeted with Spell-in-Waiting Shadoweye should move behind the at max melee range, or further out if they are ranged. The players with Hell Wind should go north, in front of the boss. This is to ensure they are not in the Spell-in-Waiting Unholy Darkness at 1 HP.
  200. + All players should look north as the Spell-in-Waiting Shadoweye goes off.
  201. + Mitigate and heal through Shadowflame and Entropy.
  202.
  203. **Phase 2:**
  204.
  205. + Immediately move to the opposite side of the Hand of Erebos when it spawns.
  206. + Dodge Doomvoid Guillotine by moving to the sides of the boss hitbox, then dodge the Nyx. Get in for Doomvoid Slicer afterwards.
  207. + Move the boss back to the centre of the arena and use Surecast/Arms Length as the Nyx spawn. Alternatively, move to the side where the Hand spawns.
  208. + Get in protean positions for Doomvoid Cleaver. Mitigate through Entropy and Shadowflame. Move the boss to the middle.
  209. + The DPS, Healer, and Tank marked with Flare should go to their Flare spots - everyone else should stay in the centre for heals. It may be a good idea to tank swap during Flare and all subsequent Flares in order to ensure the boss stays in the middle.
  210. + A random healer will receive Spell-in-Waiting Shadoweye: keep in mind where they are for Punishing Ray.
  211. + Hell Wind will go off on two random DPS a few seconds before Punishing Ray expires. They need heals and/or shields before standing in the puddle. In addition, they should not be standing in the puddle prior to Hell Wind resolving, or they may be instant ticked and die.
  212. + As Punishing Ray resolves, the Shadoweye will also resolve. The party must look away from the healer who has it.
  213. + Mitigate Shadowflame and Entropy.
  214. + Players must move in to stack for Unholy Darkness, but it is immediately after Doomvoid Cleaver. Try to get as close as possible to the middle to stack, while dodging the Nyx.
  215. + Dodge Doomvoid Guillotine and heal/mitigate through Shadowflame and Entropy.
  216.
  217. **Phase 3:**
  218.
  219. + Keep the boss in the centre for the entire phase to make things easy. This is a hectic phase, but is a long dance that is extremely consistent once you have it down.
  220. + Dodge Hand of Erebos by either moving to the opposite side or using Surecast/Arms Length. Move the boss back to the centre if you had to move.
  221. + The first Spell-in-Waiting Flare goes off as another one is cast. Players should move to their assigned Flare spots, then move back to the middle to stack for Spell-in-Waiting Unholy Darkness.
  222. + Mitigate Shadowflame.
  223. + The two Spell-in-Waiting Shadoweye marked DPS will have to go to D once Spell-in-Waiting Flare goes off. Additionally, they look away from each other.
  224. + Spell-in-Waiting Flare and Spell-in-Waiting Shadoweye will go off at the same time. Move to assigned positions for Flare, and heal up, and all players except the ones with Shadoweye should look north. Players marked with Spell-in-Waiting Dark Fire III should move out immediately. Players should let the MT stay on the boss to make Dark Explosion much easier to handle.
  225. + Stack with your respective partners for Dark Explosion, then move for Punishing Ray.
  226. + Get into protean positions for Doomvoid Cleaver, and mitigate Shadowflame.
  227.
  228. **Phase 4:**
  229.
  230. + This is the final stretch of the fight, consisting of only the new mechanics Quietus and Cycle of Chaos/Retribution.
  231. + Heal and mitigate for Quietus. It will do increasing damage as more are cast because of the damage stacks.
  232. + For Cycle of Chaos, go to the sides first to dodge Doomvoid Guillotine, dodge the Nyx while moving inside the boss hitbox for Doomvoid Slicer, while spreading out for Doomvoid Cleaver spots while inside the boss. Rotate clockwise to dodge two sets of Nyx coming right after.
  233. + For Cycle of Retribution, be inside the boss hitbox in protean positions already for Doomvoid Slicer and Doomvoid Cleaver, then move out to the sides dodging the Nyx for Doomvoid Guillotine.
  234. + The Nyx in this phase is surprisingly hard to dodge.
  235. + The final Cycle is random. Make sure you dodge accordingly.
  236. + Mitigate and heal through the Quietus spam, and kill the boss.
  237.
  238. ## Role Specific Tips ##
  239.
  240. **Tank:**
  241.
  242. + Boss positioning is extremely important for consistency and uptime. Face the boss north and try to keep it in the centre at all times, minus when you have to move to Empty Rage.
  243. + Boss autos are magical and so is Shadowflame. Mitigate accordingly.
  244. + Use tank shields on heavy AoE mechanics such as Flare, Unholy Darkness, Punishing Ray, and Quietus in the final phase.
  245. + Save a gap closer charge to move back when moving out for Flare.
  246. + The MT can stack with the party for Hell Wind + Unholy Darkness + Shadoweye in Phase 1.
  247.
  248. **Healer:**
  249.
  250. + Heal and shield through Shadowflame, Entropy, and Unholy Darkness accordingly.
  251. + Let your party know if you have the Shadoweye during Phase 2. This is because healer spots can change from party to party.
  252. + Make sure to shield and immediately heal the DPS with Hell Wind during Phase 2, so they do not die to the bleed tick and Punishing Ray.
  253.
  254. **DPS:**
  255.
  256. +
