  1. Azari turns to get through the information dump portion of the lesson he begins to write down on the board behind him.
  2.
  3. "ATP is often called the body’s energy currency. When you have more ATP, your body can perform better during exercise! As bears, we derive energy from the foods we consume as these foods go through the digestive system within our bodies to be both broken down and made into usable energy for our most simple biological systems and processes. Every macronutrient plays an important role and provides various amounts of ATP....!"
  4.
  5. He draws a diagram. You eat food, you get macronutrients, the cells get the ATP.
  6.
  7. Azari was not a Biology teacher. He was a Nutrition teacher. He did not go into further detail.
  8.
  9. "During breakdown of ATP, an enzyme catalyzes the reaction when ATP joins with water. During the process, the outermost phosphate bond splits, releasing a considerable amount of free energy. This energy can be used to build proteins, contract muscles, etc. Although this appears to be a laborious process, this occurs rapidly and does not require oxygen...!"
  10.
  11. ATP Breaks down. Energy is given.
  12.
  13. He continues to write and draw small diagrams.
  14.
  15. "ATP is both used and required by ALL cells in the body and also carries the potential energy to provide cells for use in the body as needed. As you can see, the connection between ATP and nutrition, also consider the same connection between ATP and muscular work! -- even just sitting upright in a chair requires that muscles work constantly, so the ability to maintain posture requires ATP. Taking things one step further, a physically active exerciser will need ATP in even greater amounts before, during and after each bout of exercise. Which dietary supplements like Creatine can assist in by bolstering the amount..!"
  16.
  17. He puts his chalk down before he turns around to walk towards the class.
  18.
  19. "As bearers we can learn to manipulate ATP allowing us to do various techniques. Techniques like Shunshin, Accelerator. Anything that suddenly give you a burst of energy and speed have been related to use of ATP..! I want each of you to stand up and move away from your desk as I will be showing you a technique of mine."
  20.
  21. If people were too sleepy and not paying attention to learn?...
  22.
  23. Then that's on them. The inner workings of this technique might be on the test.
  24.
  25.
  26. Azari smiles as people started to move from their desk. He didn't like it when people snooze through his class but he knew some of the information was rather boring.
  27.
  28. He does what he can to make it more interesting. He wasn't one for class rooms either.
  29.
  30. "So! Going through the same metabolic proccess I described breaking down ATP. You can generate explosive force out of the blue...! This is can be done to advance if you do it from the rear foot or to back away if done on the front. It's used alot in boxing but can be adapted for any fighting style....!"
  31.
  32. He pushes off his back foot and accelerates quickly forward.
  33.
  34. "This technique can be done with mana, essence, or even natural energy. As long as you go through the very same proccess within your legs and kickstart the breakdown proccess."
  35.
  36. Azari calls for them to settle down and return to their seats as he begins to explaina small little concept.
  37.
  38. "As far as I'm concern there is only three body types, or what some people call them. Somatotypes....."
  39.
  40. "We have, Ectomorphs which are long and lean, with little body fat, and little muscle. They have a hard time gaining weight. Fashion models and basketball players fit this category. While most of us love to hate these genetically-blessed individuals, some male ectomorphs may not be thrilled with their narrow-chested frames, and some female ectomorphs long for more womanly curves."
  41.
  42. The super skinny individuals who can't gain weight for shit.
  43.
  44. He moves on to the next one,
  45.
  46. "Endomorphs, on the other hand, have lots of body fat, lots of muscle, and gain weight easily. "Football lineman tend to be endomorphs -- they're heavier and rounder individuals. And they don't have to necessarily be overweight...They are just bulkier, wider. You see senzaemon with builds like this. Some Veturians as well..."
  47.
  48. Lastly, " Mesomorphs are athletic, solid, and strong. they're not overweight and not underweight, and they can eat what they want without worrying too much about it. They both gain and lose weight without too much effort. There’s no avoiding the fact that mesomorphs have things a bit easier than others. Their metabolisms are relatively efficient, they carry functional if not athletic muscle mass and are essentially ready to take on whatever fitness goal they please with minimal foundational work."
  49.
  50. The golden children, Those who were constructed of a different design.
  51.
  52. "I want each of you to tell me what is your somatype...!"
  53.
  54. A hand reaches out to snatch up Otsui before she goes too far. He directs her back to the desk after giving her a nod. Satoru and Otsui seem to be the last of them.
  55.
  56. Azari shrugs as gives out his lasting two cent of the situation,
  57.
  58. "Don't despair if your body type isn't what you want it to be. As it's mostly influenced by multiple factors. The first being genetics, Then comes your eating habits and how active you are. Then comes age and what not. Alot of you still growing so as long as you make a few corrections you may get the results you desire."
  59.
  60. "Training endomorphs should predominantly focus on fat loss techniques until a desirable body composition and functional cardiorespiratory efficiency have been achieved. Resistance training should be used to strengthen muscles and stabilize joints to support more-efficient movement elsewhere in life, but this population tends to need cardiorespiratory improvement and fat loss above all...!"
  61.
  62. He continues to belt out some advice.
  63.
  64. "Ectomorphs face the opposite set of challenges as primarily-endomorphic individuals. Due to the numerous factors previously mentioned, most ectomorphic clients have developed bodies with highly active metabolisms and “lanky” bone structures, making it hard for them to put on mass and keep it on. For this reason, exercise techniques for larger musclemass and maximal strength should be prioritized, with a greatly-reduced focus on cardiorespiratory training to reduce overall energy utilization...!"
  65.
  66. He then moves over to Mesomorphs.
  67.
  68. ".....Just keep doing what you're doing."
  69.
  70. They already had it made.
  71.
  72. "That's it for class. Got any questions? Next class is the final class before you all test out...!"
  73.
