Race denial

What profit is there in quibbling about racial categories? I ask because the only point to it is never made: that somehow these imperfect categories produce huge errors in thinking. A case not made here or elsewhere.

Really it is an obvious attempt to evade and stonewall the debate about whether one can find meaningful genetic differences within this heuristic. It soul be like disparaging early cartographers and sailing the oceans without a map because they were imperfectly representing landmasses. Obvious you'd have to prove maps were wildly off base to justify that.

Actually scratch that this is like citing the imperfections of maps to say the terrain doesn't exist in reality. The stuff we're studying still exists and we can make judgments, even if the lens is a bit cloudy
