[11:42] <Earthflame> Andrea sits at a table, sipping at a rather more colourful drink than she's used to, looking around in mild bemusement at the plush and comfortable setting she finds herself in, wearing what passes for 'finery', her best everyday clothes. She doesn't own much that isn't practical.
[11:45] <Ethlem> "Uhm... Andrea." Eth'lem pipes up behind her. The white haired girl had spent most of the evening bouncing around the room and talking to various people, but now she looked far more subdued.
[11:46] <Earthflame> Andrea turns, the gleaming Dragonborn giving her a warm smile. "Eth'lem! How are you doing? It's an interesting place, I must say!"
[11:50] <Ethlem> She returns the smile as she seats herself beside the warlord. "Yeah, there's some rather unique people... It's been fun learning about them." she gestures towards a half-ling across the room. "His name is Tommi, apparently he's here in Fairhaven to fo business for his family." she gestures again, now towards a female half-orc.
[11:50] <Ethlem> "And that's Atae. She's here celebrating since she just got a large order of weapons to make."
[11:51] <Earthflame> Andrea laughs, putting an arm around Eth'lem's shoulder and giving her a squeeze. "Always a sociable girl! Perhaps not in the way Karkanna would prefer, but..." She chuckles. "There are times and places."
[11:53] <Ethlem> "I'm still not sure what Karkanna brought us here for." The girl confesses with a sheepish smile. "But it's fun nonetheless."
[11:54] <Earthflame> Andrea chuckles. "I think I know, but... Not for you, Eth'lem. Not yet." She smirks, ruffling the girls hair.
[11:56] <Ethlem> Eth'lem laughs, gently batting the Dragonborn's hands away. "That just makes me more curious! But... The Queen did tell you guys to look after me, so I will be good!"
[11:57] <Earthflame> Andrea grins back, not relenting until she's given Eth'lem a good mussing. "You are good, Eth'lem... A good heart, a good mind, and great power. With you at our side, we shall never fall."
[11:59] <Ethlem> "I hope so!" She leans against Andrea's shoulder as she smiles from behind her ruffled hair. "Say... What made you want to become the kind of adventurer that you are?"
[12:00] <Earthflame> Andrea smiles at that, giving Eth'lem another squeeze around her shoulder as she ponders a moment. "...I never wanted to be anything else. I was always told those born to the Platinum Scales were special... And almost as soon as I could walk, I was waving around wooden swords." She grins at the memory, chuckling. "I would follow the guards around on their patrols, and they would laugh and smile
[12:00] <Earthflame> and humour me..."
[12:02] <Ethlem> "What drew you to it?" The cleric asks as she peers curiously at her companion. "And do you have a goal with it all?"
[12:04] <Earthflame> "Excitement, adventure, glory... A holy purpose." Her smile fades, and her face is more serious as she looks to Eth'lem. "Being born to the Platinum is not just a gift... It is a duty. Bahamut's blessing is not to be idly wasted on a life of luxury. Some join the priesthood, ministering to our people and helping guide them... But my body was always stronger than my mind." Her grin returns at
[12:04] <Earthflame> that. "My goal is to do good in this world, and bring Glory to the Platinum Dragon... In hope that I may stand by his side, someday."
[12:07] <Ethlem> "His side...?" Eth'lem blinks "Bahamut?" she asks to clarify.
[12:08] <Earthflame> "Aye." Andrea nods. "To fight for Good and Glory until I am worthy of standing alongside him in the heavens... That is my deepest desire." There's a pause... As if she isn't exactly saying everything.
[12:11] <Ethlem> "Aaaaaaand?" The girl leans closer to her as she gives the Dragonborn an encouraging smile.
[12:14] <Earthflame> ...Was that a blush? Andrea glances away. "I Love my God... Not like most people love their Gods. I've always adored Bahamut, praised him, worshipped him, but.I didn't follow him as a Paladin. I didn't want to rely on his strength, but to prove my own, ao I could be worthy to be his equal..." She glances back to Eth'lem. "It's a foolish dream, but in my heart of hearts... I would fight my way
[12:14] <Earthflame> into the heavens, and be his bride... And join the eternal war against evil at his side..."
[12:18] <Ethlem> The cleric studies her for a moment, before smiling warmly "I don't think it is foolish." she fishes up a necklace that had mostly been hidden by her dress, on the end of the black leather cord was a shining, platinum, scale. "The Queen said that when they found this along with me. I had it in my hand, despite being unconscious, I think...
[12:18] <Ethlem> Meeting you is more than a coincidence, and I..." she trails off briefly "What I'm trying to say is that I believe you can achieve those things."
[12:20] <Earthflame> Andrea... Her eyes widen, reaching down to hook a finger through the cord, rubbing a thumb against the platinum scale... And then Grinning at Eth'lem, wrapping the girl up in a tight hug. "More than coincidence indeed... Divine providence!"
[12:22] <Ethlem> Eth'lem hugs her back, smiling happily "I think so too! At least... I hope so." she looks up at Andrea as she pulls back slightly. Her smile has faded a bit. "I... Can I say something which may sound... kind of silly?"
[12:23] <Earthflame> "Of course... I just said I want to marry a God!" Andrea lets out a laugh, smiling at Eth'lem.
[12:24] <Ethlem> "Do you think you can love someone without having met them... or ... even really knowing who they are?" She asks slowly while studying the dragon.
[12:25] <Earthflame> "Love is in the soul... Such a bond can defy all reason, knowledge or understanding." She nods, slowly.
[12:26] <Ethlem> Eth'lem looks... conflicted at that answer, as if she's not sure if to be relieved or sad. "I see..."
[12:28] <Earthflame> Andrea looks at her, frowning a bit. "...You told me you lacked memories, before being found... But you still feel love, in your heart?"
[12:30] <Ethlem> "I... I think so. Sometimes when I dream I think I see someone, I'm not sure if it's even a man... I feel as if I'm certain of who it is while I'm still sleeping, but upon waking it all becomes covered in a thick layer of mist." Eth'lem says, doing her best at trying to explain.
[12:31] <Earthflame> Andrea nods again, slowly. "...That sounds strange. But I pledge to you, Eth'lem... While we walk together, I will support you. And if we ever find a hint of who you might have been, or where, or how you came to be here now... I will help you seek, and search, and uncover the truth."
[12:32] <Ethlem> Eth'lem smiles at that, it isn't as bright as usual, but it is outmost sincere. "Thank you, Andrea. Truly..." she hugs the dragonborn tight.
[12:33] <Earthflame> Andrea returns the hug, rubbing the girls back. "You are my friends... Brought to me by fate, and bound to me by battle. While I yet live, you will never be alone."
[12:36] <Ethlem> "I just can't help but wonder..." As the hug ends Eth'lem fishes the blue quartz out of her pocket, studying the small rock. "About things like... have I always been enchanted by shining and beautiful things? Did I have friends? A family? Did I have hobbies? What was my favourite food? If there even was a 'before' I woke up in the Queen's castle..."
[12:37] <Earthflame> Andrea chuckles. "We will find out, Eth'lem. Together."
[12:38] <Ethlem> She peers at Andrea, before she nods. "I believe you."
[12:39] <Earthflame> That makes her laugh. "I'm glad. Others believing in me makes it easier to believe in myself."
[12:41] <Ethlem> Eth'lem giggles "I have found that to be the case, yeah..." she looks down at her hands "You know, I'm not sure where my powers come from, but... I'm glad I have them, they allow me to travel with you all."
[12:42] <Earthflame> "Strength comes from many sources... But whether from gods, or mystical might, or the strength of your arm... It is Your strength. No matter where it comes from, it is you who draws upon it, and brings it into the world." Andrea gives her a grin. "The power that lets you heal and empower is Your strength, Eth'lem. Beyond that, I do not care."
[12:44] <Ethlem> "You really have a way of cheering people up, Andrea." Eth'lem replies softly "I admire that about you. You're inspirational."
[12:45] <Earthflame> "Greatness in yourself is meaningless if you fail to inspire greatness in those around you. That is the lesson of Bahamut... Good, glory and fair fortune are his gifts, but you must carry them with you, into the world... As a protector, as a leader, as a warrior... In any walk of life." She smiles.
[12:48] <Ethlem> "Good, glory and fair fortune... I like the sound of that." Eth'lem leans back in her seat, picking up the glas of wine that she'd been nurturing most of the evening and sipping at it. "Even if I don't find out about my past I will have a future through these journeys."
[12:57] <Earthflame> "We all will." Andrea smiles, raising her glass to Eth'lem's. "Cheers."
[12:58] <Ethlem> The cleric raises her in response "Cheers!" she grins
[13:00] <Earthflame> Andrea grins, sipping at her drink, relaxing and smiling in good company.

[13:04] <Ethlem> Eth'lem blinks again, but this time she looks at Andrea.
01[13:04] <Karkanna> "Not the point." She sighs. "This ain't the first time I've had to have this talk, so let's get to it. Listen honey, it doesn't matter what YOU think he deserves. If he's married, he's married."
01[13:04] <Karkanna> "Lemme tell you a story about one of my cousins. Kelenne's sister actually."
01[13:05] <Karkanna> "A few years back she was pining hard for this guy. She'd met him at a mechanic's assembly meeting. He was a sweet guy, black haired and well built, and she fell in love. He was already married though, and she'd spend all her time pining for him."
01[13:06] <Karkanna> "So me and Kelenne had to sit her down and give her some tough love. If he's married, ain't nothing you do is gonna change that. That's on him. All you can do is focus on you and do right by yourself. And if one day you both find yourselves single, then what happens happens."
01[13:06] <Karkanna> "We told her the same thing I just told you, and everything's worked out alright for her."
[13:06] <Earthflame> "...Bahamut's marriage to Tiamat is Metaphysical, at best..." Andrea grumbles. "And if I slaughter that vile bitch and all her wretched spawn..."

[13:07] <Earthflame> "He's been trying for millenia... The Good and Evil Dragons have been at war for- Ow."
01[13:07] <Karkanna> "This is what I'm talking about. Getting involved with married dudes makes you think crazy."
01[13:08] <Karkanna> "So look. Here's all I'm saying. Just don't worry about him for now. Focus on improving yourself. You don't even have to start banging dudes on the side if you don't want to, though I suggest it. Guys like girls who know what they're doing. Just don't worry about his marriage and worry about you, okay?"
[13:08] <Ethlem> Eth'lem looks worried "What if I meet the one from my dreams and he's married?" she frets quietly, mostly to herself.
01[13:09] <Karkanna> "Then you go back to focusing on you, tiny scared one."
[13:09] <Ethlem> "Is that what Kelenne's sister did?" Eth'lem asks as she peers at Karkanna.
[13:10] <Earthflame> "...Even if I didn't love him, I'd still want to kill Tiamat... And Bahamut would praise and reward any who undid her foul works and beat back her agents..." She pauses, and nods to Karkanna. "... Still, I see what you are saying, and I agree... If I want to be worthy of him, I must prove my strength alone, in this world and any other I may find myself in."
01[13:10] <Karkanna> "She did, and she ended up better off for it. The thing with the guy ended up being a bust anyway. About six months later our clans were feuding and I ended up crushing his skull with my hammer."
[13:11] <Ethlem> "......." Eth'lem blinks
[13:12] <Earthflame> "...Don't try that with my God." Andrea smirks as she says it.
01[13:12] <Karkanna> "So my advice" She puts her arm around Andrea. "Is go chat up that cute guy over there. He's been looking at you. Figure out what feels right."
01[13:13] <Karkanna> "You ain't gonna make anyone mad just talking, so go talk. And if you want to do other things, that's fine too."
[13:14] <Earthflame> She seems to ponder that. "...Well. Bahamut has had many lovers..."
01[13:14] <Karkanna> "That's the spirit." She shoves her toward the guy.
[13:14] <Ethlem> "What should I do?" Eth'lem asks Karkanna, unwise as it is.
01[13:14] <Karkanna> "I dunno. What do you want to do?"
[13:16] <Ethlem> The cleric taps her chin as she ponders "I'm not sure. If there was music I'd dance... So I guess I might sit here for a bit and then find some new people to talk to!"
01[13:16] <Karkanna> "Sounds like you got it on lock. How about we go together and find some people. And if all you end up wanting to do is talk then hey, more for me."
[13:17] <Ethlem> She blinks(she blinks a lot!) "What else would I do?"
01[13:17] <Karkanna> "Ahh, you're so innocent. You'll have to ask the Queen one day."
[13:18] <Ethlem> Eth'lem looks at Karkanna as if she's a bit weird "Okay..." she says, her smile swiftly returning "Let's find people to talk to!"
