It will fight along side you until reduced to 0/0, after which it will withdraw for the rest of combat, which also removes Spotter Hawk's bonuses for the remainder of combat. The companion will need to be healed before it can return to fight in combat. If you and your Animal Companion target the same enemy during a round, you both receive a +1 to your rolls. You may spend a skill point to grant your companion a skill point at character creation. [Trained Talent]

  43. Appearance (Peyote):
  44. -A bulky, muscled raptor-cougar griffon, with deep brown plumage and a light tan feline half. He's got huge, sharp-looking talons, powerful-looking wings, and a long, muscled tail. His rather imposing appearance is completely betrayed by his face; soft, excited, bright blue eyes along with a warm, welcoming smile make him a rather odd griffon. He's almost never seen without a poncho, and his friendly demeanor is almost always present.
  46. Appearance (Tequila):
  47. -A large, canine-serpent chimera. She has the general appearance of a coyote, albeit larger and bulkier than a coyote is normally. Her eyes are serpentine, and her canines appear sharper and longer than normal. Her tail is instead a rattlesnake, whose head seems to have a mind of its own.

  49. Background:
  50. Peyote is an unusually outgoing and friendly griffon, hailing from the Earthsinger tribe in the southern reaches of the Griffon Kingdom. The griffon has a particularly close bond to the natural world and the animal kingdom in particular, so becoming a tracker and animal handler was an unsurprising development. Always eager to see more creatures, the griffon travels quite often.
