  1. [21:05] Del mer Joyau says, "To the dojo, come."
  2. [21:14] Something mental, such was becoming a bit of a specialty of theirs. But, it wasn't something to discuss now, and openly. Yevon needed to take his mind off things first and-
  3.
  4. Del did as well.
  5.
  6. Inside the dojo, the Stellus took to the arena, standing under its dim light.
  7.
  8. "I am no fighter," They start, voice light, a bit soft. "I bruise easily, I'm a bit frail physically. I am no Knight, I never will be. No Keeper," Did they know what that was? "I am someone who hones the Stars, the fires within them, love and care given form."
  9.
  10. A dainty hand whisked to the side, in its wake, a lingering trail of azure stardust.
  11.
  12. "I am also a teacher, I educate, and I learn. I study. You wished to learn of the Stars, yes? Tell me, before we start..."
  13.
  14. The whisked hand made for the mauve hued scepter holstered at their backside. It radiates, and the brothers can feel it. It feels otherworldly. Their grip on it softened, head shifting to the side.
  15.
  16. "What do you wish to know? Where will we start?"
  17.
  18. To see their skills, and bestow upon them knowledge of the cosmos.
  19.
  20. "Both of you."
  21.
  22. Del smiles, and raining upon them, slowly, erupts to life a gentle azure light.
  23.
  24. "Come, come come."
  25. (Del mer Joyau)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [21:15] Atlas says, "..."
  29. [21:15] Atlas asks, "At once?"
  30. [21:15] Atlas asks, "Both of us?"
  31. [21:15] Del mer Joyau says, "Together, yes."
  32. [21:18] Yevon had not wasted no time, the transparent man knew he was facing a child-- So honestly he didn't really give it his complete all. He didn't need to; However he also wanted to have the child realize that fighting a demon would not be fun. Even in his wounded state, he would easily slam his knee and fist into him in retaliation.
  33.
  34. He was ruthless. As bolts of lightning came and tickled across his form, he would divert the energy of the bolts with a closed fist and slam into the boy's helmet. Though restrained-- He would aim to knock the boy into the air. Then once airborne-- he caught the boy and would bring him down into the ground.
  35.
  36. "If I was a demon, this is what would kill you."
  37.
  38. He stated as he called roughly how strong the kids defenses were-- He had been training people for years being a guild master. As gravity around the boy began to increase until he felt himself just being stuck on the ground. After the boy was unable to move for more then ten seconds-- the gravity let up and he turned his views on back towards the other group.
  39.
  40. "See... Now you understand why I said bring another one eh? You aren't gonna be able to deal with a demon alone-- learn team tactics."
  41.
  42. He then began to make his way back.
  43.
  44. "Oye, which one of you two want to join in on this spar?"
  45. (Yevon Telsagraz)
  46. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  47.
  48. [21:19] "Ah... so we were talking to Anastasia and she was saying that even if we're not interested in learning cosmic magic you could probably help us find the stars that watch over us and maybe it would help us learn about ourselves... something like that."
  49.
  50. He hadn't quite remembered the conversation, but that was the gist of it.
  51.
  52. As the two were told to enter the arena, Aeolus would... a bit disappointed that it wouldn't be a one on one battle.
  53.
  54. "You ready to do this?" He'd ask, looking back to his brother. It may as well have been a rhetorical question, of course he was.
  55. (Aeolus)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [21:19] Yevon Telsagraz says, "..Mmmm.. Del beat me to the punch."
  59. [21:19] "Huh..."
  60.
  61. "Alright then."
  62.
  63. This probably wasn't the best test of strength as Aeolus and Atlas were fearsome warriors when paired together. Their combat power when working as a team was multiplied. Doubled, tripled, they hadn't been bested when working in tandem.
  64.
  65. Del would see that today. Time itself began to flow faster around the young boy, and this effect was carried to his teammate. The small bumps and bruises around his body faded as they occurred. His eyes seemed to read everything at a faster pace, his brain processed information quicker than any living being on this earth.
  66.
  67. Atlas himself looked at Del and smiled, answering their question.
  68.
  69. "I want to know what Star I align with. Which one calls my name."
  70.
  71. The time magi then turned to his brother and drew his sword, pointing it at Del following that action.
  72.
  73. "I'm always ready. Let's go."
  74. (Atlas)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [21:21] Yevon Telsagraz asks, "Del. Want to make it interest eh?"
  78. [21:21] Del mer Joyau asks, "Mh?"
  79. [21:21] Del mer Joyau asks, "Interesting how?"
  80. [21:21] Yevon Telsagraz says, "Me and you do something like a tag team handicap. "
  81. [21:21] Del mer Joyau asks, "Oh?"
  82. [21:21] Del mer Joyau asks, "Do you two want that?"
  83. [21:21] Atlas says, "It might make it fair for you...Hehe."
  84. [21:21] Yevon Telsagraz asks, "... Fair?"
  85. [21:21] Aeolus says, "Yeah, it should even the odds a bit."
  86. [21:22] Del mer Joyau says, "No holding back then."
  87. [21:22] Aeolus says, "Hold on..."
  88. [21:22] Atlas says, "That's not what I--"
  89. [21:25] The Stellus' smile remained, hands on the scepter as a glow appeared behind them. Gold, radiating. Along dainty pale hands did powder hued cracks appear. They exhale, softly, before starlight burst from behind them, spreading wide at their shoulder blade like wings.
  90.
  91. Del surges, shining-
  92.
  93. Almost like a Star.
  94.
  95. They push up, the wings flap as they twirl their scepter. Ascending, slightly, above the ground.
  96.
  97. "No holding back. Show me your might and valor, Cadets."
  98. (Del mer Joyau)
  99. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  100.
  101. [21:25] Atlas says, "That's uh..."
  102. [21:25] Atlas says, "That's not what I asked for..."
  103. [21:26] Aeolus says, "We can't back down now..."
  104. [21:26] Aeolus exclaims, "Let's do this!"
  105. [21:26] Atlas says, "Not at all..."
  106. [21:26] Atlas exclaims, "Let's go crazy!"
  107. [21:27] Yevon Telsagraz says, "Oye kids, don't think im a push over either just cause ya can't see me."
  108. [21:31] "In the beginning, Kraus dispersed his body to give us what we have today. Several hundred Angels came to this realm he created to escape divine war."
  109.
  110. "His 'death' brought forth all we know. The seeds of humanity were soon planted, and we were given Eternia."
  111.
  112. "The Stars-"
  113.
  114. Del felt targeted by the two, time slowed, winds picked up. They were foolish to ignore Yevon, however. They ascended more, higher, as gentle starlight met the area around the cadets. It doesn't hurt, if anything, it tickles and serves as a distraction.
  115.
  116. "--Are where souls end up when they leave the body. Going forth to these bodies to be judged. This process is important. Souls worthy will go to Avalon, Paradise, where the Angels reside and Saints. Those who aren't, their souls are cleansed and they 'try again', in a sense."
  117.
  118. Aeolus is overwhelmed and forced to take a knee, the lesson proceeds. History first.
  119.
  120. "But, you want to be 'chosen' by a Star. I will help. Tell me of yourself. Your dreams, your loves, your hates. All of it. Bestow upon it all to me."
  121. (Del mer Joyau)
  122. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  123.
  124. [21:33] Yevon grinned-- He enjoyed the spectacle. This would be, somewhat of a gratifying feeling. It had been so long since he just had the time to relax and train some kids. Although this felt more like beating them up-- He would come in lightly at first. Ensuring that he wasn't gonna beat them up to badly at that. Though afterwards he would allow Del to take the floor and step back.
  125. (Yevon Telsagraz)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [21:39] The battle kicked off. Aeolus wasn't quite sure who to focus his efforts on, but there Del was... shimmering with cosmic energies. The boy found himself being drawn towards them like a moth to a fire.
  129.
  130. He focused much of his attention on combating the Stellus-- hopefully his brother could hold off Yevon in his weakened state for the time being.
  131.
  132. Most peculiar about this spar seemed to be Del giving a history lesson of sorts. Something that well, the swordsman could use considering he didn't know anything at all about the events of which Del spoke.
  133.
  134. Eventually he found himself on the ground thanks to the combined efforts of Del and Yevon, only to be asked a question. Something like this in the middle of a spar?
  135.
  136. "Well...
  137.
  138. I hate spiders... and I like peace I guess, tranquil stuff. I want to become a Knight one day to follow in my fathers foot steps." It was brief and certainly not 'all of it' but how could he talk about it all in the middle of a bout?
  139. (Aeolus)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [21:39] This was a struggle. Atlas and Aeolus weren't expecting a tag-team match on both sides so they did the best they could to adjust. The initial strategy used was to target Del, get what they thought was the biggest threat out of the way.
  143.
  144. Atlas and Aeolus did a good job is battering the Stellus' defenses and keeping up an onslaught of attacks but Yevon's interference was causing enough damage to be done for that not to work. Atlas kept getting smacked over the head by random punches, knocked to the ground by a sweeping kick. He'd turn around only to be confused when he saw a translucent blur running around the battlefield.
  145.
  146. "I see. So each of those Stars are angels? I wonder if any of them are named Atlas..."
  147.
  148. "But I like learning, I read a lot. I want knowledge of everything in this world. I don't like loss..."
  149.
  150. "Our parents were taken by this war and I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else. At all."
  151.
  152. Atlas gave a nod before preparing his blade once more in order to battle.
  153. (Atlas)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [21:40] Del mer Joyau says, "No, the Stars are not Angels."
  157. [21:40] Del mer Joyau says, "Angels and Stars are different."
  158. [21:50] "The Stars are not Angels, yes. Separate. Angels reside within Avalon, not meddling with the affairs of mortals. The last time one did was nearly a millennia and a half ago."
  159.
  160. "The Saint Mikhail Petrakis, a man of the country of Astya, beseeched the heavens. Astya was wiped out by the demon Mordred. Because of Saint Mikhail, and his calls being answered by the High Angel Maltziel are we here as we are, on Esshar. He transported a number of them here and turned them to the Stars..."
  161.
  162. Still ascended, they made it difficult for the pair to land blows, strike upon with their blades. But, when they returned to the ground did they receive a few blunt blows-
  163.
  164. However, it seems to have been nullified slightly by the azure starlight around them, slightly.
  165.
  166. "Is that all? You have more to yourself than a dream that revolves around following they who came before you. What inspires you, tell me it all."
  167.
  168. Though, protection seems to be a common theme. Every aspiring Knight wants to protect, to save others.
  169.
  170. "Tell me who you are, Aeolus, Atlas."
  171.
  172. Heat rises now. It's warm.
  173. (Del mer Joyau)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  175.
  176. [21:57] And so, the lesson continued. This was certainly an unorthodox way of doing things-- at least within the swordsman's mind, but he wouldn't argue with it.
  177.
  178. This time, Aeolus had grown keen to what Del were doing-- if the Stellus was going to fly out of reach, then he would simply attack the Drakanite, Yevon.
  179.
  180. A strategy that seemed to work for the most part, he could feel the Drakanite being pushed back-- not that it mattered much as Del attacked whilst his attention was divided.
  181.
  182. Is that all? You have more to yourself than a dream that revolves around following they who came before you. What inspires you, tell me it all.
  183.
  184. "There is more..." He'd admit. "I want to be great, not just some Knight... I want to become a Lightbringer some day." It was hard... saying something like that when he didn't even know what it meant to be a Lightbringer-- it was the one question he wished to ask Lloyd butwas never able to and now never would be able to.
  185.
  186. "I want my blade to be known as one that brings peace... and tranquility to others-- I want to be a symbol; The Blue Swordsman. Someone that one can feel relieved to see as my very presence will make them feel safe." It was a big dream, one that he had no idea whether or not he could accomplish.
  187. (Aeolus)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [21:58] Del mer Joyau says, "More. Tell me more. There is more to your existence here aside from being a Knight."
  191. [21:58] "I see...I'm set on getting into Avalon then."
  192.
  193. Atlas and Aeolus battled with the best of their ability. They combined their different sword techniques to try and eliminate their foes but there was a slight issue. This ended up becoming two separate solo matches against far stronger opponents. That was issue. They'd have to use their numbers to their advantage if they were going to come out of this with even a single victory.
  194.
  195. "Tell you who I am?"
  196.
  197. The young boy released a field of gravity over the area. A crushing force to attack Del. His goal was their landing, they wouldn't fly anymore. A show of power felt needed in order to swing the tides of battle and allow the brothers to perform at their best.
  198.
  199. "I'm a man on a mission. I'm gonna do things in my lifetime that any child will hope to achieve. I'm gonna become a Lightbringer. I'm gonna reclaim Osrona. I'm gonna bring justice to the Teraphim who laid waste to it. I'm gonna bring an end to those demons who terrorize these lands..."
  200.
  201. "I'm gonna change the world."
  202. (Atlas)
  203. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  204.
  205. [22:08] Lightbringer?
  206.
  207. "It is a competition then, yes?"
  208.
  209. Del took to the ground, crouching a bit before growing a bit more serious. Atlas is charged at, in their wake, gentle flames that tug at the skin. It doesn't burn per se, not these that speck with golden hues.
  210.
  211. "Your mission will have you two butt heads. Osrona has a singular Lightbringer. The position no longer with that of three like it was several decades ago."
  212.
  213. "Just one."
  214.
  215. The two boys were more or less the same. Troublesome. They didn't tell Del want they wanted. While the two possessed goals, it wasn't what they wanted to hear.
  216.
  217. "Ruled by Binary Stars. Red and Blue orbiting around one another within my own little sky. Commanded by Ios, a want to instill others with confidence, uplift them, raise morale. A guiding figure I intend to be. Smile-- For you should feel joy..."
  218.
  219. Both brothers seem to adapt. Yevon is overwhelmed by their efforts.
  220.
  221. "Willed, however, by my heart. Burning passion truly guides me as a person. A love and care for all. Everyone will feel it, what I have to offer."
  222.
  223. "Ios and Biblos. Of the Red and Blue branch lighten my path."
  224.
  225. Hopefully it served them to think deeper now, as to what they meant. The question is not surface level in the slightest.
  226.
  227. "Who are you both?"
  228.
  229. Adapt, overwhelm. Del is pushed back, a sweat breaking.
  230. (Del mer Joyau)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [22:15] The young warrior grinned as the two had bested him, he had begun to stand up as he saw the two seemed to fail and lack any real goal in their mind. They spoke of positions, aspirations-- but they did not speak of self properly. Even this headstrong warrior spoke out. He would stand after and place a hand on Del's shoulder; He gave it a pat.
  234.
  235. "I am Yevon Telsagraz, a head strong warrior with a take no shit attitude. I happen to be a guild master right now with two other founders right now. A drakanite, with the goals to hunt and rid the world of the scourges that covet the lands. I am a warrior, and I will die on the battle ground before I die in the bed in comfort. I am Yevon, a man who drinks and enjoys the fruits of the land and tries to live a life of simplicity and would die for his lands. I am Yevon, a caring person who will not tolerate anyone harming anyone who is involved in me or I will fight tooth and nail for them. I have been in countless fights with people stronger then me, almost died for every time. I have the scars to prove it-- but that is who I am. A stubborn man who does what he wants, but will protect any and all who I deem needs it. Because that is who I am, and no one will change me at my core."
  236.
  237. He spoke out, a deep sigh escaped from his lips.
  238. (Yevon Telsagraz)
  239. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  240.
  241. [22:18] Aeolus found himself a bit caught off guard by Atlas' goal... since when did he want to become a Lightbringer?! It seemed they'd have to butt heads indeed in the future.
  242.
  243. Competition was never something that the young swordsman minded, however. It was a chance to grow if the two would push one another to further heights.
  244.
  245. They were given an introduction of sorts-- was this what Del meant when they had asked who they were? When asked again, Aeolus readied himself to answer.
  246.
  247. "Faced with tragedy and the loss of my parents as well as my home at a young age, I am one who rises above strife and decides my own future. A being as free as wind itself.
  248.
  249. My heart is guided by the lights of justice, my bones controlled by nerves of steel that refuse to give in. I am Aeolus, the Blue Swordsman.
  250.
  251. I am a force that brings the tenacity of a hurricane, all while providing the sense of peace one may feel while watching the waves of an ocean.
  252.
  253. My path is guided by the winds of change-- as I seek to bring change to any dire situation."
  254.
  255. It was spoken as Aeolus readied himself for what was to come-- the remainder of their battle. Saying all of that stuff, it was unlike the boy-- perhaps he had been inspired by the Stellus' words.
  256. (Aeolus)
  257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  258.
  259. [22:25] A successful attempt. The crushing forces of gravity dropped Del to the ground, severely limiting their mobility and ability to attack Aeolus and Atlas at once. The two brothers swarmed Yevon and sent out a burst of attacks to down the man. There was no way this Drakanite could keep up with their combined might and after a few flurries he was downed.
  260.
  261. Next was Del who was a far easier opponent now that they were both standing. Their magical attacks were large in scale but Atlas and Aeolus did their best to move out of the way. Atlas himself jumped over one of Del's cosmic beams, gliding atop the attack and finding his way right in front of their opponent. A burst of gravitational force was released, knocking Del to the ground.
  262.
  263. "A product of the world around me. A direct result of the cruelty of others. I am one who defies all law and reason, only to implement my own. Breaking reality as I know it.
  264.
  265. My heart is guided by the rules and regulations put in place within the world. My heart is guided to get rid of them. I am Atlas, the Red Swordsman.
  266.
  267. My blade cuts down the walls that confine us. The boundaries that are set in place from birth.
  268.
  269. My path is guided by the fundamental forces, the forces that I control and bend to my will-- as I seek to change them on a whim."
  270. (Atlas)
  271. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  272.
  273. [22:27] {Lost Restrained RPB against Del mer Joyau}
  274. [22:37] Blue and Red Swordsmen? Surely, they could come up with more inspired titles than that. But, the two are children with big dreams.
  275.
  276. Yevon makes what they mean a bit more clear. Who they are, what rested in their heart. Perhaps it was too much to ask of two boys who lost everything just a few years ago.
  277.
  278. On the ground, they still maneuver. Graceful, almost. As wings ascended them. They move to Aeolus, their hand rose, swiping in front of him.
  279.
  280. Starlight dragged along him, it burns...! No, it tickles and sends him to the side, movement interrupted.
  281.
  282. "Moving, moving, moving. Like currents and wind. You wish to be blue but I dub you yellow."
  283.
  284. Del moved behind him, quickly, the cosmos allowed for a moment of quickness. He's rained upon with flames, then whisked to the side with soothing golden mana. Onto his butt.
  285.
  286. "Phos. Your determination can be felt from miles away."
  287.
  288. The Stellus backed away. Unfortunately, the pair overwhelmed Yevon once more.
  289.
  290. "You've a fire within you." Eyes locked with Atlas as he's charged at, head first, heat moved with them- It grows warmer and warmer.
  291.
  292. "Vrona, steady your blade as you grow. Cut what needs to, use yourself as a quick, precise shield."
  293.
  294. Golden light splashed along him, making it difficult to keep his blade risen. He's pacified, and their hands came together.
  295.
  296. "Phos and Vrona. The Yellow and Red branches. I feel those fit you two the best."
  297. (Del mer Joyau)
  298. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  299.
  300. [22:43] The final push. This battle was nearing a close and one of these two teams would have to finish it off. Atlas and Aeolus rushed forward, combining their might in an onslaught of concussive force.
  301.
  302. "Heh...You got yellow." A small remark based on Del's words to poke fun at his brother. Even in this engagement Atlas' childlike mind was always searching for ways to mock Aeolus, as his brother had done the same to him for years.
  303.
  304. "A fire..."
  305.
  306. "Determination..."
  307.
  308. Atlas and Aeolus cut down Yevon soon after the fight began. Their swords flew forward in unison to put the man on his back. And that they did, before turning to face Del. One more...
  309.
  310. "Phos…?" A moment of hesitation as Del spoke on Atlas' star. That same beam of cosmic energies struck Atlas directly in the chest. It pushed him into the walls of the arena and knocked him out of the battle. He was done for now. It was up to Aeolus to finish it off...but he'd fall short in the end.
  311.
  312. "My star."
  313. (Atlas)
  314. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  315.
  316. [22:45] The titles were a bit uninspiring... and Aeolus hated it that his brother seemed almost like a carbon copy of himself, but there was nothing he could do about it. So long as the two upheld the same ideals of justice, no complaints would be given.
  317.
  318. A tickling force of starlight caught the boy off-guard. He was... ticklish and began to giggle, only to be caught off-guard once more with a smack of holy magic.
  319.
  320. "Y-Yellow...?" He'd ask in dismay, there was no way someone like him weren't blue but if the Stellus said so then it must have been true.
  321.
  322. Phos… he would need to learn more about it at some point.
  323.
  324. "Thank you for the lesson as well as the spar, Stellus. Even if I'm disappointed with the results, I feel like I learned more about myself a bit."
  325. (Aeolus)
  326. [22:46] Atlas says, "Mhm! This was fun."
  327. [22:47] Del mer Joyau says, "I'm glad you two enjoyed the spar. Come, let us tell the King of the results."
