— background:
     Min Yoonji was born to a family in Daegu, South Korea, in the summer of 1997. She grew up with her older brother Min Yoongi, whom she was very close to. The two of them would often play games about spirits, trying to talk to them. Whether they succeeded or not was a debate. They had a peaceful childhood, even when their parents suffered from financial problems, because Yoongi would always tell her everything was okay. She supported him with his trainee career at BigHit, and when the future looked uncertain, Yoonji would make him a bubble tea, and reassure him.
     Following his debut, Yoonji was kept out of the public eye, because her parents decided it was the best for her. She didn't mind that, as long as she could support him.
     A couple years back, Yoonji was contacted by a supposedly new entertainment company. Wanting to be as successful as her brother, she talked to her parents, and they agreed to let her audition. She trained alongside 3, 7, 8 and 9, and tried to make friends with them. She didn't tell them about her relationship with Yoongi until they were told she would debut.

     Mother | 48 | Cafe Owner | Yoonji is relatively close to her mother, and she likes to help out in the cafe. They find it easy to talk about things, and that's what makes their relationship strong. Whenever something big happens, she's the first to know about it.
      Father | 50 | Business Man | Yoonji's father is incredibly proud of his children, and it's borderline embarrassing. He'll be there at all the concerts, all the performances,  and all the promotions. Yoonji appreciates this, but can't help cringing in front of the members.
      Older Brother | 23 | Idol | Yoonji and her brother were aforementioned to be close, and that's still true today. He sends her drafts of his compositions, and videos of his friends being absolute idiots, and photos of everything Namjoon has broken — they're practically best friends.

— personality:
     	Yoonji usually has a bright smile, regardless of the situation. She was gifted with a voice of varied tone to match her wide variety of facial expressions, which have turned her into somewhat of a meme in the fandom. Most of what she says comes across as a joke (which most of the time it is), or not very serious, which can cause frustrating situations.
     Gifted with a small stature, her temper reflects it, as it's pretty easy to make her angry. If you do manage to piss her off, be prepared for a huge dose of the silent treatment. If you share a room with her, she'll be sleeping in the attic that night. She allows her emotions to take precedence over logic, when it comes to making quick decisions, and will always follow her heart. She isn't afraid to take risks, and sees rules as more of a suggestion on what to do rather than what they actually are. Her determination is fierce, and she works tirelessly at everything that she does. No matter how menial the task, she won't stop until it's perfect. 
    She's stubborn, and will stick to her beliefs no matter what. That is, unless she has been provided a reason as to why her way of thinking is incorrect, but that rarely happens. This trait of hers makes it almost impossible for her to lose an argument, as she always thinks of something to say that will counter whatever point someone is trying to make. Though her intimation factor (which is incredibly low) also plays a bit of a role in whether she wins those arguments. Because if she can't think of a valid argument, she'll just smile at the person until they become uncomfortable and back off.
     She's fiercely loyal to those she holds, and will do anything that she can to protect them. She'll defend them through thick and thin, unless they've done something she thinks of as unforgivable. But that is unlikely. She loves her friends and tells them that daily - she also loves her fans. At fanmeets she'll always smile and hold their hand and blow kisses to the male fans. 
    She is also very blunt, especially when speaking, as she tends to blurt out whatever is on her mind at times. She is that person that would just walk up to you and ask why you smell like soy sauce (then make you go wash it off). She's also the type of person to tell you you looked stunning and she wouldn't mind being shut in a dark wardrobe with you (in her head). It's landed her in trouble a few times, but she never means to cause any harm from her words. To her, she is simply speaking the truth. However, her honesty also draws people to her, which is why they go to her when they need advice.
     In short, Yoonji is a rare specimen. Not exactly the most perfect of them all, and not completely up to idol standards, but she's getting there.
