Been about a month since I did a Pastebin... I guess enough stuff has happened to talk about.

I've been a little bit absorbed with MMX. I thought I'd probably enjoy learning it for the tournament, but not to the measure that I have so far. Nearly every stream I've done since has been practice/runs, and I still feel like there's so much more work I can put into that game before I'm truly done for now.

Once I get to a time that I like and I'm out of the tournament, whichever comes last, I'll head back to SMW. I first learned NCNSW in the middle of the SMB3 Warpless Tourney, so I didn't put the kind of time I'd like to into it. With a clear schedule at least in terms of speedrunning, I should be able to get closer to my goals. (first of which is getting DP3 in a run lol) I might also learn 96 during this time, or maybe do some actual runs of No Starworld to obliterate that awful semi-casual time. Getting close to halfway through the year and there's still a fair bit of stuff I want to do in other games, we'll see how that pans out.

On the topic of streaming... I dropped the ball with Paper Mario. Majorly. I started a little late, and then haven't gone back after 1 stream. Every time I thought I'd be streaming it either something came up or I'd suddenly just lose the motivation. RPGs aren't really my style, but I had a good time when I played it. I just don't know what happened that made me not want to stream it. I feel awful about this since this was one of the games I took a poll for, and it's been the worst of the Gamecube Game of the Month. I considered trying to get a ton of it in this last weekend and then run over a little into May, but I don't want to set a precedent for that sort of thing. So here's what we're going to do. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is officially postponed. I don't know when, but I 100% promise I'll play through the game on stream. I'm awful about keeping promises, but I won't let this one slip.

As for this month, I'll work on starting Metroid Prime 2 early, hopefully this weekend if nothing comes up. This one won't slip through, as I'm planning on starting Wind Waker on May 30th, my birthday! :) I might also stream some more 3D World/Tropical Freeze casual stuff here and there. I haven't turned on my WiiU in a while... I'd like to change that.

There's a couple of things some friends are doing that I'd like to draw attention to if you aren't already aware. All this month, Kronicsauce is playing a ton of different Mario games alongside his SMM casts. Shameless plug for the 120 race happening Tuesday that I'll be in, but be sure to check out a lot of the other fun stuff he'll be doing. If you want him to get Fogo de Chão with me during SGDQ, and you want that, be sure to support him all month! Secondly, Skybilz is doing a weeklong marathon with a bunch of different speedrunning and casual things. She's doing this as a celebration of 5k followers AND to raise money for St. Jude's! Another shameless plug, I'll be around Wednesday for the SMB3 Warpless Randomizer race and maybe a few other things depending on how schedules line up that day.

Another thing to look out for is the Winnie the Pooh: Rumbly Tumbly Adventure race. I can't believe I actually typed that sentence. Within a day or two here everybody should have everything and we'll set a date shortly afterwards. I have absolutely no idea what we're in for, but regardless, it'll be a good time.

SGDQ is in 2 months and holy butts I'm excited. Last year was a blast, and I'll miss some of the people not able to return, but seeing old friends and making new friends will be great. Also I better not get sick on Fogo de Chão day this time or things will get ugly. I plan on volunteering and couching again, deciding whether or not to try my hand at hosting... we'll see. I'm in the early stages of planning another Glibathon in order to offset the costs, (read: I have an idea of what I might do, and that's about it) more to come on that as it becomes more of a reality.

Speaking of friends, I feel like I've been awful about watching friends' streams. So many people to watch and I don't branch out as often as I should. I don't think anybody would feel slighted by me not showing up to their stream... but if you do sorry, I'll try and poke in and at least say hi.
