　うう……何だろうか。
　苦しくて、それでいて頭がおかしくなりそうな悪夢をずっと見させられているような感覚がずっと続いている。
Uhh....I wonder what happened.
I was in pain, and the whole time I felt like I was continuously in a horrible nightmare where I turned crazy.

「ナオフミ様！」
"Naofumi-sama!" (Raphtalia)

　ラフタリアの声にハッと意識が覚醒し、夢から覚めるかのような錯覚と共に目を開く。
　するとそこには心配そうに俺を抱き起こすラフタリアが居る。
My consiousness woke up abruptly to the sound of Raphtalia's voice and I opened my eyes to the delusion as if waking from a dream..
When I do, a worried-looking Raphtalia is helping me sit up.

「ここは……？」
"This is....?" (Naofumi)

　辺りを見渡すと、錬や樹、リーシアと様々な面々が海の見える廃墟の様な場所で俺たちを見つめている。
　確か、俺が覚えているのはメルティの屋敷だったはずなんだが……。
When I survey the vicinity, Ren and Itsuki, Rishia and various others watch us from a ruin-like place overlooking the sea.
If I remember correctly, this should be Melty's place of residence but.....

「ラフタリア、ここは一体どこだ？　俺はどうして倒れて……確かカースシリーズが……」
「ナオフミ様です！　今、ここに居るのは確かにナオフミ様です！」
「は？　どういう事だ？」
"Raphtalia, just where are we? Why have I collapsed...I'm sure the Curse Series...." (Naofumi)
"It's Naofumi-sama! The one right here is really Naofumi-sama!" (Raphtalia)
"Huh? What are you talking about?" (Naofumi)

　俺は起き上がって再度辺りを確認する。
　潮騒の音が耳に響き、ここが村では無いのは容易く理解できる。
　見た感じだとサディナの秘密基地がある島……のはずなのだが、どうも周りの様子がおかしい。
　まるで何かが崩落したかのように廃墟と化している。
　これは植物か？
　そこで目に入ったのは、近くの檻に入れられたフィーロ、アトラ、キールの三人。
I get up and once again check my surroundings.
The sea echo's in my ears, and I can easily understand that this isn't in the village.
It looked like the island with Sadina's secret hideout.....or it should have been, but the state of our surroundings was completely different.
It's as if something collapsed and became ruins.
This is a plant?
And then, what came in to view was Firo, Atla and Kiel, all three trapped in a cage nearby.

「なんでフィーロ達が檻に入れられているんだ？」
「覚えておられないのですか？」
「何が？」
「はぁ……フィーロ達は騒ぎに便乗して暴れた罰として檻に入れています」
"Why are Firo and those guys in a cage?" (Naofumi)
"Do you not remember?" (Raphtalia)
"About what?" (Naofumi)
"Sigh....Firo and the others took advantage of the disturbance and acted violently, so they were put in the cage as punishment" (Raphtalia)

　なんか三人共、ショボーンと落ち込んでいるかのようで、こっちをみている。
Somehow the three were looking this way, downhearted.

「ラフー」
「ん？」
"Rafu~" (Raph)
"Hm?" (Naofumi)

　足元をみると、なんか小さなアライグマと狸を混ぜたような変な魔物がいる。
　大きさは、子犬くらいか？
　なんだろうか？
Looking at out feet, there was a somewhat small, strange monster that looked like a racoon and tanuki combined together.
Its size was around the size of a puppy?
What is this?

「ニセモノー」
"Fake~" (Raph)

　と、ラフタリアを指差して喋る？
Or so it was saying while pointing at Raphtalia?

「黙りなさい！」
"Be quiet!" (Raphtalia)

　ラフタリアが珍しく怒鳴ってその魔物を追い払う。
　その声に魔物は散るように逃げ出して行った。
　なんだ？
Raphtalia shouted out unusually and chased the monster away.
The monster fled at her voice.
What the?

　ん？
　ラトが俺を思いっきり睨んでいる。
　その後ろにはフィロリアル形態のフィーロよりも大きな狸のようなアライグマの様な、さっきの魔物をそのまま大きくしたような魔物が佇んでいる。
　眠そうな顔をしているな。
Hm?
Rato glared at me with all her heart.
Behind her stood a raccoon-like monster that looked like a larger version of the monster from before, and was larger than Firo in Filorial form.
It had a sleepy-looking face.

「ラフタリア、何があったんだ？」
「本当に、覚えておられないのですか？」
「ああ」
"Raphtalia, what happened?" (Naofumi)
"Do you really not remember?" (Raphtalia)
"Yeah." (Naofumi)

　なんとなくイヤな予感がしつつ、俺は頷く。
For some reason I nod, despite feeling a bad premonition.

「詳しく教えて欲しい。何があった」
「本当に尚文なんだな？」
"I'd like you to tell me in detail. What happened." (Naofumi)
"Is it really Naofumi?" (Ren)

　錬が尋ねる俺に聞いてきた。
Ren asks at my enquiry.

「何を今更……俺の偽者でも出たのか？」
「まあ……あれは偽者と呼ぶべきなのかなぁ」
"What, after all this time.... you're calling me an imposter?" (Naofumi)
"Well....I wonder if we can even call that an imposter." (Ren)

　そういや、妙にスッキリした感じがする。
　ラースドラゴンと戦った時の様な微妙な爽快感。
　……なんか激しくイヤな予感がする。
Speaking of which, I feel strangly refreshed.
A complicated refreshed feeling, similar to the time we were fighting the Wrath Dragon.
....Somehow I have an extremely bad premonition.

「えっと……ナオフミ様は呪われた盾に意識を乗っ取られていたようなのです。その影響で奴隷紋を使う事が出来なかったようで……それが幸いだったんですけどね」

　薄々そんな気がしていた。
　意識を失う前に変なカースシリーズが出現した所までは覚えている。
　新・七つの大罪シリーズだったか。
I had a vague hunch it was like that.
I remember a strange Curse Series appearing just before I lost consciousness.
It was the New Seven Sins Series I think.

「俺は一体何をしたんだ？」
「何をした、ですって！？」
"Just what the hell did I do?" (Naofumi)
"What you did, you say!?" (Rato)

　ラトが眉を吊り上げて言い放つ。
　なんだ？　あのラトがここまで怒るって何をしたんだ？
Rato remarked, raising her eyebrows.
What? What did I do to make that Rato so angry?

「ああ、詳しく話せ」
「侯爵は事もあろうに私の研究所を占拠して、この島に勝手に移転した揚句、私の大切なミー君を勝手に改造したのよ！」
「ラフー」
"Yeah, tell me the details." (Naofumi)
"Of all the things, Marquis occupied my laboratory, arbitrarily moved to this island and finally, you modified my beloved Mii-kun on your own accord!" (Rato)
"Rafu~" (Mii-kun)

　ラトの叫びに後ろに居た巨大アライグマ？　が、鳴いた。
At Rato's shout, the gigantic raccoon? cried out.

「ミー君って確かお前の大事にしていた試験管に入ってた魔物だよな。それを改造した？」
「それだけじゃありません。この世界は浄化すべきなんだと怪しげな研究をした揚句、世界征服を宣言したんですよ」
「何！？」
「……幸い、ギリギリの所で皆さんが止めてくださったので大事には至らなかったのですけど」
「そうか」
「メルティちゃんが盾の勇者様は波の予行練習を行うために特殊な力で魔物を放っていると宣言したので事なきを得ました。シルトヴェルトの使者達も協力してくださいました」
"I'm sure Mii-kun was the monster in the test tube who you treasured. And I modified that?" (Naofumi)
"That's not all. You did some questionable research on how this world needed to be purified, and in the end you announced that you were going to take over the world." (Raphtalia)
"What!?" (Naofumi)
"....Luckily, everyone managed to stop you in time and it didn't result in a serious incident." (Raphtalia)
"I see." (Naofumi)

　と、ラフタリアは説明しながらフィーロ達を睨みつける。
　フィーロがビクッと怯えるように震えたかと思うと、俺の方に手を伸ばして呟いた。
And so Raphtalia explained while glaring at Firo and the others.
Firo startled and I thought she was shaking like she was frightened, then she extended her hand towards me, muttering.

「ごしゅじんさまのあの笑顔……フィーロ守りたかったの」
「ええ、例え何があろうとも落日のその日まで私はお供しますわ」
「兄ちゃんと遊んでいた方が強く楽しくなれたんだ」
"That smile of Master's....Firo wanted to protect it." (Firo)
"Yeah, no matter what happens, I will be his companion until the day the sky falls. " (Atla)
"I've experienced getting stronger and having more fun when I play with Nii-chan." (Kiel)

　と檻に入った三人がそれぞれ漏らす。
　あの笑顔って、それは偽者だ。守るな。
The three in the cage each revealed.
That smile, it's an imposter's. Don't protect it.

「ごしゅじんさま。ずっとラフタリアお姉ちゃんの事をしゃべってたよ」
「なんでラフタリアを？」
「最初、おかしな言動をしながら私に近づいて来て、一緒に来いと言ったんですよ。ですが私が断ると、無理矢理に迫ってきて、なんかおかしいと突き付けたら私を偽者と言い出して、挙句正体を現して逃げました」
「おかしな言動？」
「まず自分称がワシでした」
「そりゃあおかしいな」
"Master. You kept talking about Raphtalia-oneechan." (Firo)
"Why about Raphtalia?" (Naofumi)
"In the beginning, you approached me while speaking strangely and told me to come with you. However, you urged me forcifully when I refused, called me an imposter somewhat crazily when I retaliated, and in the end you revealed your true colours and fled." (Raphtalia)
"Speaking strangely?" (Naofumi)
"Firstly, you kept using 'washi' to refer to yourself." (Raphtalia)
"That is strange." (Naofumi)

　ワシってなんだよ。
　意味がわからない。
　いや、今までの例を見るにカースに犯された奴は意味がわからないけどさ。
　つまり俺もその例に漏れず、頭のおかしな事をしていたと。
What was with that 'washi'.
I don't get it.
No, looking at the instances until now, the guys who were violated by the Curses don't understand reason.

「果てしないな」
「フィーロもアトラちゃんもキールくんも便乗してナオフミ様に付いて行って、挙句、サディナ姉さんの家の上にバイオプラントを改造して作りだした巨大な城を建築しました。確かキャッスルプラントと名付けて見せ付けてましたよ」
"And then I think you hijacked that old lady's laboratory or something and took the monsters in the monster hut with you, and you also abducted some of the village kids who followed." (Taniko)
"There's no end to it, huh." (Naofumi)
"Firo, Atla-chan and Kiel-kun also jumped ship and followed Naofumi-sama, and in the end you modified a Bioplant and constructed a huge castle on top of Sadina-neesan's home." (Ratphalia)

　すげぇ……呪われた俺は何を考えているんだ？
　考えられるのはこの世界の王族とかその他諸々に感じた事をストレートに行動した……という事か？

What I can think of is that I tried to straighten out the feeings of the royalty and the other people of this world.... or something like that?

「そして巨大な結界を構築し、その結界の守り手にフィーロ達を人体改造して配置しました。私達は必死にナオフミ様を元に戻そうと頑張ったのですけど、おかしくなったナオフミ様はあの手この手で攻めてきて……」
"And then you constructd a huge barrier, used human modification on Firo and the other and deployed them to protect that barrier. We tried frantically to return Naofumi-sama to how he was before, but crazy Naofumi-sama used this and that and assulted us....." (Raphtalia_

　往生際の悪い奴だったんだな。
　と、他人事みたいに言いたい。
He was unreasonably stubborn, huh. [T/N: Maoufumi, that is]
Or so I want to say, like it's someone else's affair.

「ところで俺を倒すまでどれだけ掛ったんだ？」
「一週間と少しですよ」
「なん、だと！？」
"By the way, how long was it until you subjected me?" (Naofumi)
"A little over a week." (Raphtalia)
"What..did you say!?" (Naofumi)

　ちょっと待て、あれから一週間以上も経過しているだと！？
　俺はステータス魔法の中にある、次の波までの日数を見る。
　うわ！
　本当だ。後二週間と半分しかない。
Wait a minute, it's been more than a week since then!?
I check my Status screen and look at the countdown to the waves.
Uwah!
It's true. There's only two and a half weeks left.

「……ちょっと待てフィーロ達を人体改造した？」
「はい。キール君」
"...Wait a minute, I did human modification on Firo and the others?" (Naofumi)
"Yes. Kiel-kun." (Raphtalia)

　ギロリとラフタリアがキールを睨みつけるとふんどし犬がびくりと尻尾を丸まらせて怯える。
　が、意図を察したのか、キールが変身する。
　……頭が三個になった小さな子犬。ケルベロス？
　まあ、元がキールだからケルベロスというか可愛くけるべろすってひらがなで言う感じ。
Raphtalia glared at Kiel and the loinclothed dog curled her tail with fright.
However, Kiel began to morph, as if guessing her intentions.
....Her head split into three and she became a small puppy. A Cerberus?
Well, it's origin is Kiel so instead of Cerberus, I feel like she should be called with the cuter 'Kielberus'. [T/N: ケルベロス -> けるべろす From the angular Katakana to the more rounded Hiragana]

「え？」
「カッコよくしてくれって言ったら兄ちゃんがしてくれたんだ！」
「幾らなんでもそれは無いだろ」
"Eh?"
"Nii-chan did it when I told you to make me look cool!" (Kiel)
"No matter what, I think that couldn't have happened." (Naofumi)

　人体改造だぞ、しかも元に戻れるのか？
　呪われた俺はコイツ等を使い捨てるつもりだったのか？
It's human modification, and furthermore, can it even be reversed?
Did the cursed me intend to use these guys and then throw them away?

「兄ちゃん。言葉使いは変だったけど、俺の事を心配してたし、苦しくない。無理の無い範囲で出来るようにしてくれたんだ！」
"Nii-chan. Your speech was weird, but you were concerned about me and it doens't hurt. You made it so I didn't have to force myself as much as possible." (Kiel)

　凄く悔しそうにキールが涙を流しながら言い放っている。
　随分と慕われていた様だが、俺であって俺じゃないし、身に覚えが無い。
　他人を褒められている気分だ。
Kiel declared while shedding tears, looking very frustrated.
It seems I was idolized, but that me wasn't me and I don't have any memory of it.
It feels like she's praising someone else.

「あの方はナオフミ様であってナオフミ様ではありません！」
"That person was Naofumi-sama but he was not Naofumi-sama!" (Raphtalia)

　ラフタリアに怒鳴られてキールは黙りこんでしまう。
Yelled at by Raphtlaia, Kiel sank into silence.

「フィーロはねーごしゅじんさまに飛べるようにしてもらったのー」
「は……？」
"You know~ Firo became able to fly thanks to Master~" (Firo)
"Huh...?" (Naofumi)

　檻に入った人型のフィーロが羽をパタパタと羽ばたかせると、キラキラと何かの残滓を出しながら浮き出した。
　本当に飛んでる……。
　あのデカイ図体でどうやったら飛べるんだ？
　どう考えても地面を走る様に体が作られているフィーロが飛んでいる事が不自然極まりない。
Inside the cage, the human-form Firo flapped her wings and floated, leaving behind some kind of sparkling trail.
She's really flying....
How does she fly with that huge body? [T/N: When Firo is in Filorial form]
No matter how I think about it, it's extremely unnatural for Firo to fly when she was built to run on the ground.

「ふおおおおお！　フィーロたん！」
"Fuooo! Firo-tan!" (Motoyasu)

　元康が感極まって檻に突撃してくる。
Motoyasu became overcome with emotion and attacked the cage.

「むー！　来るな！」
"No~! Go away!" (Firo)

　凄くイヤそうな顔でフィーロが拒み、近付いて来た元康をアトラが突いて追い払う。
Looking very displeased, Firo rejected him and the approaching Motoyasu was hit and driven away by Atla.

「アトラは？」
「私はダメだと言われてしまいました……改造できないと」
「そうか」
"And Atla?" (Naofumi)
"I was told that it was no good.....that I couldn't be modified." (Atla)
"I see." (Naofumi)

　フィーロとキールにこれだけの魔改造をしてしまったと言う事は……俺はイヤな予感がしつつラフタリアを見る。
For Firo and Kiel to have been modified to just this extent..... I look at Raphtalia despite my bad hunch.

「他の連中は？」
「……研究所で療養中だった亜人奴隷達は尽くナオフミ様の実験体になり――」
"And the other guys?"

「……そうですね。尚文さんはなんだかんだでみんなに慕われているのでしょう」
"It's amazing how he still had charisma even though he turned crazy. Everyone tried to protet Naofumi with their life." (Ren)
".....That's right. Naofumi-san was adored by everyone for some reason." (Itsuki)

　錬と樹が答える。
　樹は無表情だけど、なんか俺が知る樹よりも変化があるような気がする。
　考えてみれば一週間も経っているんだから、呪いが回復したのか？
Ren and Itsuki answer.
Itsuki was expressionless but somehow I feel like he's changed more from the Itsuki I knew before.
If I think about it, a week has already passed so has he been revovering from the curse?

「イツキ様」
「大丈夫ですよ。尚文さんの正義で動いていたと言う事くらい今の僕なら分かります」
「それで、さっきから気になっていたんだが」
"Itsuki-sama." (Rishia)
"It's alright.Naofumi-sama's righteous actions, I can understand as I am now." (Itsuki)
"Say, something has been on my mind for some time now." (Naofumi)

　心配そうに廃墟の影からこっちを覗きこむアライグマと狸を混ぜたようなあの魔物達は何なのだ？
　どうも個性的に色々な種類の魔物が居るみたいだ。
　そのどれもが必ず、アライグマと狸を混ぜたような造形をしつつ、見覚えのある名残がある気がする。
　俺は奴らを指差すと。
What were those raccoon-tanuki hybrid-looking monsters that were worriedly peeking out from the shadows of the ruins?
It looks like there are a variety of indiviual species.
Although every one of them was always a raccoon-tanuki hybrid, it seems there are remains of something I recognize.
I point to those guys.

「侯爵を慕っていた魔物達のなれの果てと新しく作られた新種の魔物に決まっているじゃない。アレは第一世代のラフ種よ」
「はい！？」
"It's obvious that the monsters followed the Marquis and were turned from the shadows of their former selves into these new species of monsters. That one is the first generation Raph-species." (Rato)

　え？　あいつ等、俺の所に居た魔物共なの！？
Eh? Those guys were the monsters from my place!?

「うん。みんなをあんな風にして、私達に勝負を売ってきたの」
"Yeah. Just like that, everyone came and sold the match to us." (Taniko) [T/N: Everyone surrenderred so they won]

　谷子が忌々しそうに言い放つ。
　思いっきり根に持ってる！
　まあ魔物共を相当大事にしていたから、文句は言えないが。
Taniko provokingly declares.
She's holding a grudge with all her heart!
Well, she really treasures the monsters so I won't complain.

「というか、こいつ等、どうしてこんな姿に？」
"Or rather, why do these guys have this kind of appearance?" (Naofumi)

　なんとなくラフタリアの耳や尻尾に似てるが？
　鳴き声も「らふー」とか「たりー」や「りーあー」など、繋げるとラフタリアになるような感じだ。
　そのどれもがラフタリアを指差すと条件反射的に。
For some reason, they resemble Raphtalia's ears and tail though?
Their cries are also "Rafu~" or "Tali~" and "Li~a~" and such, and when you join them all together it sounds like 'Raphtalia'.
And everyone has been conditioned to point to Raphtalia.

「ニセモノー」
"Fake~" (Raph)

　と、鳴いている。
　俺がそれを尋ねるとサディナがノシノシと歩いて来て、ケタケタと楽しそうに笑いながら答える。
　……なんでお前まで茶色？　ふわふわになってるぞ。
And so they cry.
When I enquire about it, Sadina lumbers over and answers while cackling joyfully with laughter.
.....Why are you brown as well? She's become fluffy.

「ラフタリアちゃんに拒まれた変なナオフミちゃんが、ラフタリアちゃんが裏切るはずがない。アレは偽者なんだ。本物のラフタリアちゃんを蘇らせるって何故かラフタリアちゃんの髪を使って色々とやり始めたのよ」
「なんで！？」
「さすがにお姉さんもわからないわー。スパイ活動してたお姉さんはナオフミちゃんに見破られちゃってこんなふうになっちゃうし」
「大丈夫なのか？」
「ラトちゃんの話だと治せるらしいから大丈夫ー」

"As one would expect, Onee-san also doesn't know~ Naofumi-chan discovered Onee-san was spying on him and turned me into this." (Sadina)
"Are you alright?" (Raphtalia)
"According to Rato-chan, it's reversable so it's fine~" (Sadina)

　むう……おかしくなった時の俺はいったい何を考えていたんだ？
Jeez.... what the hell was I thinking when I turned crazy?

「で、結局、あの魔物共はどうするんだ？」
「本人達が望んでいるからねー……このまま種として確立していくんじゃないかしら？」
"So, what should we do with those monsters in the end?" (Naofumi)
"Well they wished for it themselves, you see~ ...so I suppose we should establish their species as they are now?" (Rato)

　イヤそうにラトが答える。
Rato replies, somewhat displeased.

「ちなみにおかしくなった侯爵はラフ種、タリ種、リーア種、ラフタ種、タリア種、とか色々呼び名を付けていたみたいよ」
"By the way, apparently the Marquis gave them all names such as Raph species, Tali Species, Li-a species and Raphta species when he was craz."

　マジでおかしくなった俺の考えが理解できない！
　こんな訳のわからない生命体を作ってどうするつもりだったんだ。
I really don't understand the thinking of me when I was crazy!
What was I planning by creating all these incomprehensible creatures.

「ちょっと待て、さっき第一世代って言ったよな。第二世代とかいるのか？」
「当たり前じゃない。第七世代まであるわよ。一日毎に世代を変えて作りだしたのよ侯爵は。しかも戦闘型とか決戦型とか、訳のわからない種類まで作るし、徐々にラフタリアさんに似てきて、みんなやりづらかったわよ」
"Wait a minute, you said first generaion just now. There are other generations?" (Naofumi)

"This is the seventh generation." (Raphtalia)

　そこにはラフタリアをＳＤにしてケモノにしたような魔物がちょこんと佇んでいた。
　見方を変えれば小さい頃のラフタリアに似ている様な気がしないでもない。
　しかし、この形でも言葉は同じなのか。
Standing there, looking small and quiet, was a super-deformed, beastly version of Raphtalia.
If I change the way I look at it, I feel like it kind of resembles Raphtalia when she was little.
But despite this form, it spoke the same words, huh.

「第八世代はどうなっていたかしらね。本人と殆ど同じのが出てきたかもしれないわね」
"I wonder how the eighth generation would look like. It might even come to be mostly similar to the person herself.." (Rato)

　うわ……地味に発展してるじゃないか。
　俺が頭を抱えてうつむいているとラフタリアがポンと肩に手を置いた。
Wow...so they weren't just developed simply.
When I held my head in shame, Raphtalia placed her hand on my shoulder.

「ナオフミ様」
「な、なんだ？」
「波を乗り越えたら？」
「帰る」
「はい」
"Naofumi-sama." (Raphtalia)
"Wh-what is it?" (Naofumi)
"What will you do after the waves are over?" (Raphtalia)
"Go home." (Naofumi)
"Okay." (Raphtalia)

　ニッコリと微笑んでラフタリアは頷く。
Raphtalia nods, smiling sweetly.

「大丈夫です。遅れはまだ取り戻せますから、頑張りましょう」
「そうだな……ぐふっ！」
"It's alright. We can still make up for our delay so let's work hard." (Raphtalia)
"That's right....*cough*!" (Naofumi)

　いきなり吐血した。
I suddenly spit out blood.

「な、なんだこれ！？」
「呪いだろう」
"Wh-what is this!?" (Naofumi)
"I guess it's the curse." (Ren)

　錬がボリボリと頭を掻きながら呟く。
　呪い？
Ren mutters, scratching his head
Curse?

「妙に悪知恵を働かせて最低限の呪いでみんなを改造していたみたいだけど、さすがに呪いがあったみたいだな」
"It looks like you made use of your cunning to modify everyone using the weakest curse, but it seems there is a curse after all." (Ren)

　そりゃあ……。
　フィーロやキール、ラフ種と呼ばれる魔物に改造された連中やその他を見れば相当な事をしでかした自覚はある。
　ステータスを見ると傷が回復しない。軽度の呪いみたいだ。
　臓器系は薬でカバーできる範囲だったので助かったけど。
Well....
I'm aware that I made a mess of Firo and Kiel, everyone who was modified into the Raph species and the others who I've done something substantial to.
Looking at my status, my wounds aren't healing. It looks like a small degree of the curse.
It helps that I can use medicine to cover my internal organs to an extent.

　他に……ＥＰも回復しない。こちらは正規の方法で使用する事はできるみたいだ。
　後で判明するのだけど一日毎に一定の経験値を奪われる呪いがある。奪われた先はラフ種系に入るみたいだ。
　戦えば維持できるのが救いだ。
　まだあるかもしれないが、現時点ではこれだけマイナス効果がある。
Apart from that....my EP isn't recovering either. It seems like I'm able to use regular magic though.
I could only confirm this afterwards, but there was a curse that stole a fixed amount of my EXP every day.
I'm aided by the fact that I can maintain my experience if I fight.
There might be more but these are the only negative effects at present.

「あの盾に乗っ取られた尚文自身は弱かったな」
「そうなのか？」
「はい。防御力が極端に低かったので、強化はしていなかったようです」
"Naofumi personally became weak after being commandeered by that shield." (Ren)
"Is that so?" (Naofumi)
"Yes. Your defence became extremely low, it seems you didn't strengthen it.

　むう……そのお陰で助かったのか？
Ugh....And I was saved because of that?

「とにかく……この騒ぎの損害賠償って俺がするんだよな」
「そうですね」
"Anyway.....I'll handle the restitution from this disturbance." (Naofumi)
"That's right." (Raphtalia)

　あーあ……あれだけあった収益が全てなくなって借金になりそうだ。
Oh boy.... it seems I'll lose what little profit I had and go into debt.

「幸いなのはおかしくなったナオフミ様が研究した内容の一部はラトさんが引き継いでくれるそうですよ」
「本当は私がやりたかった事ばかり、途中までしてくれたみたいだからね。研究も大きく進むと思うわ。非常に遺憾だけど！」
「らふー」
"What's fortunate is that a portion of the crazy Naofumi-sama's research was handed over to Rato-san." (Raphtalia)
"The truth is it's because they're all stuff that I wanted to do, and it seems you've done them midway. I think research has progressed a lot. It's extremely unsatisfactory though!" (Rato)
"Rafu~" (Mii-kun)

　ミー君だったかがラトを担いで肩に乗せて歩き始める。
That monster called Mii-kun or something gave Rato a ride on his shoulder and started walking

「あの子が力を貸してくれなかったらまだ戦っていたかと思います。第一世代のボディを発展させて強くしてほしいとナオフミ様にお願いして決戦型の体を開発させていたようです」
「へぇ……でもドラゴンの核の概念を取りこんだ。汎用性を欲したんじゃないのか？」
「その辺りは既に内蔵しているみたいですよ」
「ああ、そう……」
「一番の立役者だよな。あいつが土壇場で味方にならなかったら、まだ戦っているのは確かだし」
"I think we would still be fighting if this child didn't lend us his power. He asked Naofumi-sama to develop his first body and make him stronger and was developed into this battle-decisive body." (Rato)
"Hmmm....but it adopted the concept of a dragon's core. Didn't he want to be an all-purpose type?" (Naofumi)
"It looks like that kind of thing is already built-in." (Rato)
"Ah, right...." (Naofumi)
"He was the most important key figure. If he didn't become our ally at the last moment, it's certain that we would still be fighting." (Ren)

　錬が補足する。
　ああもう……俺はいったい何を仕出かそうとしてたんだよ！
Ren supplemented.
Ah, really....what the hell did I do!

　……しかし、ミー君とか言ったか。
　裏切りという言葉にイラっと来るな。
　サディナの場合、ラフタリアの味方をしておかしくなった俺を止めようとしていたのだから、広義で言えば裏切りとは言えないし、もし俺がサディナの立場なら同じ事をした。
　仮に一時的にでも理性が戻れたら同じ事を頼んだはずだ。
....But he was called Mii-kun or something, huh.
The word 'traitor' comes to mind, along with irritation.
In Sadina's case, she became Raphtalia's ally to stop me when I turned crazy so, generally speaking, I can't call it betraying, I would do the same if I was in Sadina's situation.
I expect I would have requested her to do so, if my reasoning had returned temporarily.

　だが、コイツは自分を強くする為におかしくなった俺を利用した事になるんだよな。
　ミー君は元々ラトの味方であって俺の味方では無いし、しょうがないとは思うが、釈然としない。
However, this guy made use of me to strengthen himself while I was crazy.
Mii-kun was originally Rato's ally and not mine, and so I think it can't be helped but that doesn't satisfy me.

「ラフー」
"Rafu~" (Mii-kun)

　なんだ？
　ミー君がラトにラフラフ言っている。
What?
Mii-kun was saying 'Rafu Rafu' to Rato.

「えーなになに？　実験台にはなったけど、忠誠を誓えとは言われなかった？」
「……っ」
"Eh~ what what? You became a lab rat but you didn't swear an oath of allegiance?" (Rato)
"......" (Naoumi)

　なんという屁理屈。
　要するに忠誠を誓えと言われたら断ったとでも言うつもりか。
　俺が日常的に使う屁理屈と同じ理屈だ。
　現状俺は加害者側だから文句を言えないのが逆に腹立たしい。
What sophism.
So in short, he means to say that he would have refused if he was told to swear allegiance.
It's the same principle as the sophism I use routinely.
I was the perpetrator this time so I won't complain but it's sill irritating.

　つまり、最初から味方では無かったから裏切りにはならない。
　裏切るというのは味方である人物を騙す事だ。
　勝手に改造されていたのを黙って受け入れていただけ、とでも言いたいんだろう。
In other words, if he wasn't an ally in the first place, he can't become a traitor.
Trechery is when you are deceived by an ally.
He probably wants to say that he just stayed silent and accepted it when I modified him on my own accord.

　記憶が無いし、他人事だから言えるが、俺が悪役でラフタリアは主役だったって事か。
　実際状況的にそうだし。
　良くいるじゃないか、部下に裏切られてボコボコにされるボスキャラクター。
I don't have any memory of it and I can call it someone else's business, but it's a case where I am the villan and Raphtalia is the protagonist.
Besides, the actual situation is like that.
Doesn't it happen a lot, where a hollow Boss character is betrayed by his subordinates.

　マンガとかだと主人公達は敵を裏切った新たな仲間を歓迎するんだ。
　俺もそういうキャラクターで好きな奴がいない訳じゃない。
　創作物ならな。
In a manga, the protagonists welcome new comrades who turned against the enemy.
It's not like there aren't any guys I like among those sorts of characters.
If it was a fictional piece of work, that is.

　された側はこんな不快な気持ちになるんだろう。
　反吐が出る。
　俺じゃないけどさ。
I suppose the side that does turn probably gets this kind of unpleasant feeling.
Someone vomits.
It wasn't me though.

　そういや、以前ラトが強さに貪欲と言っていた気がする。
　人格を理解しなかったのが悪いのか。
Speaking of which, I feel like Rato said she desired power before.
Was the fact that I didn't understand her personality to blame, I wonder.

　しかし……個人的に気に入らないな。
　これからコイツには無視を決め込もう。
However... I'm not pleased with such self-centeredness.
Let's persist in disregarding her in the future.

「ラトさん。ナオフミ様の事を怒っているように見えますけど、感謝もしているみたいです」
「そうか。出来れば結果良ければ全てよしになってほしい……」
"Rato-san. I can see that you're angry at Naofumi-sama but it seems you still feel grateful." (Raphtalia)
"I see. If possible, I'd like everything to be good if you like the results...." (Naofumi)

　はぁ……少し自重しよう。
　色々とやりすぎたみたいだ。
　バイオプラントの改造や、守銭奴的な行動をしてもカースシリーズって解放されるのかよ。
　ちなみにその新・七つの大罪シリーズがどんな盾だったのかは、今の俺では閲覧する事も出来なかった。
　こんな感じで、堕ちた俺の暴走事件は幕を閉じた。
Sigh...let's show a little self-restraint.
It seems I did too much.
I wonder if my modifying of the Bioplants and my miserly actions were unleashed by the Curse Series.
Incidentally, the current me can't read the inscription about what kind of shield the New Seven Sins Series is.
Like this, it feels like this rampage of mine has come to an end.

「そういやフォウルは何処へ行った？」
「姉貴！」
"Speaking of which, where did Fohl go?" (Naofumi)
"Big Sis!" (Fohl)

　遠くからフォウルがラフタリアを見て走ってくる。
　姉貴？
Fohl saw Raphtalia from a distance and came running over.
Big Sis?

「上手く行きましたか？」
「はい。フォウル君が後続の足止めをしてくれたお陰で……」
「あの後大変だった。城が崩れ始めたからな。一応、みんなを誘導して避難させた訳だけど」
"Did it go well?" (Fohl)
"Yes, thanks to Fohl-kun succeeding with the confinement..." (Raphtalia)
"It was difficult after that. Because the castle started to collapse. For the time being, I guided everyone to refuge though." (Fohl)

　と言う所でフォウルは俺に気づくと、思いっきり睨んでくる。
At this point Fohl noticed me and glared fiercely.

「姉貴？　修行の関係で呼ぶようになったのか？」
「違いますよナオフミ様。今回の騒動で、アトラちゃんがナオフミ様の元に行った時、フォウル君も嫌々ながらナオフミ様の配下として働いていたのです。それを私が……その激励して、説得しまして、こっちの陣営に引き入れました」
「ああ、姉貴が言ったんだ。大事な妹を本当に思っているのなら甘やかさずに止めるのが兄の務めだと！」
「へー……」
"Big Sis? Did he start calling you that because of your relationship during the training?" (Naofumi)
"That's not it, Naofumi-sama. During this last strife, Fohl-kun worked unwillingly as your subordinate when Alta-chan went to you side. And then I... encouraged him, pursuaded him and won him over to this faction." (Raphtalia)
"Yeah, Big Sis said so. That if I'm really thinking about my precious little sister, then I have the duty as an older brother to stop her and not pamper her!" (Fohl)
"I see..." (Naofumi)

　なんて言うか、色々な人間ドラマがあったんだろうなぁ。
　反抗的なフォウルがこれほどまでにラフタリアを慕うとは。
　将来は結婚かな？　あんまり認めたくは無い。
How should I put it, I guess there's been a lot of human drama happening.
The rebellious Fohl is following Raphtalia to this extent.
Will they marry in the future? I don't really want to approve.

「……ナオフミ様？　何か不吉な事を考えていませんか？」
「何が？」
「いえ、別に問題はありませんが」
「目からうろこだった。俺は今まで元気になったアトラの我が侭に振りまわされていた。嫌われるのを恐れていたんだ。だけど、愛ゆえに厳しくしなくちゃいけないのだとラフタリアの姉貴に教わったんだ」
「ああ、そう……」
"....Naofumi-sama? Are you perhaps thinking of something sinister?" (Raphtalia)
"About what?" (Naofumi)
"Well, it's not really a problem though." (Raphalia)
"I've opened my eyes. I have manipulated him with Atla's willfulness until now. Because he's afraid of being hated. But if I must be strict for the sake of love, I should have Raphtalia teach him as his Big Sis." (Naofumi)
"Ah, I see...." (Raphtalia)

　力強く拳を握っているけど、常日頃から俺が注意している事だし、アトラに嫌われるのを恐れるって、アトラが時々フォウルを呪うとか言ってるじゃないか。
He clenched his fist tightly but he's always been warning me, and in regards being afraid of Atla's hatred, well, Atla curses Fohl occasionally anyway.

「全てお前が悪いんだ！」
「それで良いよ……」
"Everything is your fault!" (Fohl)
"That's fine...." (Naofumi)

　実際そうだし、なんか疲れる。
That's how it was in reality, and I'm somewhat tired of it.

「絶対に俺はお前を認めないからな！」
「ああ、はいはい」
"I won't ever approve of you!" (Fohl)
"Yes yes, alright." (Naofumi)

　つまりフォウルがラフタリアの舎弟になった訳か。
　……実年齢はラフタリアの方が下のはずだがな。
In other words, Fohl became Raphtalia's underling.
....Even though Raphtalia should be younger in terms of their actual ages.
