  1. Mythic Monsters are generally an idea I came up with after seeing: Farfa's deck masters video, tari101190 field monsters post on reddit, and Team APS's new yugioh rules video. I combined the idea of a deck master from Farfa with tari101190's idea of a monster that also acts as a field spell, along with Team APS's off hand joke idea of a monster opposite of links so one that only has defense. If you have any ideas on how to improve on this idea or anything you think I should tweak please comment below

  3.
  4. Mythic Monsters cannot be Special Summoned in the traditional way, they must be Mythic Summoned from the Extra Deck by revealing the card then fulfilling the Mythic Summoning Requirements, by revealing cards in your hand. (I.E. "Blue-Eyes White Gate Dragon" has a Mythic Summoning Requirement of revealing 4 "Blue-Eyes" Monsters in your hand with different names
  5. 1. you reveal "Blue-Eyes White Gate Dragon" from your Extra Deck
  6. 2. reveal the 4 "Blue-Eyes" monsters in hand
  7. 3. Place "Blue-Eyes White Gate Dragon" in the field spell zone
  8. So you activate the Mythic Summoning by revealing the Mythic Card. You can only Mythic Summon once per turn.
  9. • While in defense position it counts as a monster and has defense.
  10. • While in the field spell zone it can be switched to or placed in "attack" position at which time it will act as a field spell, and no longer act as a monster.
  11.
  12. • Have no Levels
  13. • Cannot be Pendulum Summoned (because they have no level
  14. • Cannot be used for XYZ Summon (because they have no level)
  15. • Cannot be used for Synchro Summon (because they have no level)
  16. • While in defense it counts as a monster
  17. • Switching its position can only be done while it is in the field spell zone, and will result in it becoming a field spell, and no longer a monster
  18. • Mythic monsters have no attack and so cannot declare attacks
  19. • While a Mythic Monster is in your field spell zone, if you place a field spell there, another Mythic Monster, or it is destroyed by card effect, it will be sent to the GY.
  20. • While in the GY if you can special summon a monster from the GY (ie monster reborn) a Mythic Monster can be special summoned in defense back to any main monster zone as long as it was properly Mythic Summoned, but not back to the Field Zone unless the card specifically states return the Mythic Card to the Field Zone.
  21. • Similar to pendulum cards, mythic cards have 2 effects one in the top box (like pendulums) and one in the bottom box (like effect monsters).
  22. • If a mythic monster would have its effects negated by a card that negates monster effects, if it is in the field zone you can switch its position (only after the turn it was summoned) and it will still have its field spell effects.
  23. • Mythic Card Field Zone effect while it counts as a field spell is a different effect than its monster effect while it is in defense position as a monster.
  24. • Mythic monsters can be used for Ritual, Synchro, and XYZ summoning but being that they have no levels, it would require a card that would give the Mythic Monster a level, and only while it acts a Monster.
  25. • They can also be used for Link Materials and Tribute Summons just like any other monster.
  26. • Mythic Monsters instead have Grades which align with how many cards one must reveal to Mythic Summon Grade 1 = 1 card reveal, Grade 2 = 2 cards revealed and so on and so forth.
  27. • Mythic monsters grades can only go up to grade 6.
