  1. Pokemon Scarlet Violet
  2.
  3. Smogon Doubles OU
  4.
  5. Trick Room Spreads
  6.
  7. Most Pokemon are EV'd to take a hit from powerful neutral hits like Banded/regular TTar Crunch/Stone Edge (most with Sandstorm damage factored), Banded/regular Terrakion Close Combat, Timid/Modest Charcoal/regular Heatran Eruption/Heat Wave/Flash Cannon, Life Orb Alakazam Psychic, Banded/regular Adamant Scizor Technician Bullet Punch, and Starmie Life Orb Hydro Pump. Because this gen has just begun it's hard to judge what exactly I can tech EVs for to live so I'm going by the powerful hits listed above. As the gen goes on I will be able to fully optimize the spreads of these Mons but for now I'm going by the aforementioned benchmarks to ensure their survival from the powerful attackers in this meta
  8.
  9. Most of my EV spreads are focused around bulky offense so you'll notice Pokemon like Abomasnow have just a bit of Sp Def and Defense invested, if this is not to your liking then you're free to choose. My goal is to have each Mon survive a powerful hit so they may attack at least twice most of the time. Striking twice is more important to me than hitting hard once and dying. If you want them to be more offensive then be my guest, but beware as you lose some frail Pokemon in a single turn. You will deal more damage when you hit twice instead of hitting a little harder with a Life Orb and no bulk. Pokemon that want to OHKO because they have ridiculous offense like Hydreigon are the exception
  10.
  11. Moves next to Tera Blast are moves that will take the place of Tera Blast if the user is going to fully commit to Tera typing that Pokemon, I.E. Earthquake on Tera Ground Gyarados
  12.
  13. Gallade @ Safety Goggles
  14. Ability: Sharpness
  15. Tera Type: Fighting
  16. EVs: 248 HP / 124 Atk / 108 Def / 28 SpD
  17. Brave Nature
  18. IVs: 0 Spe
  19. - Psycho Cut
  20. - Sacred Sword
  21. - Trick Room
  22. - Protect
  23.
  24. Ridiculous damage with Sacred Sword (202 BP), Psycho Cut melts Amoonguss, Trick Room is amazing. He isn't meant to be one of your two setters, he's meant to be a complimentary secret third setter while he eliminates Dark and Steel types for his teammates
  25.
  26. Amoonguss @ Rocky Helmet
  27. Ability: Regenerator
  28. Tera Type: Poison
  29. EVs: 252 HP / 132 Def / 124 SpD
  30. Relaxed Nature
  31. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  32. - Giga Drain
  33. - Rage Powder
  34. - Clear Smog
  35. - Spore
  36.
  37. Old reliable. He gets up TR for you by pulling aggro then he puts everyone to sleep. Clear Smog is perfect for beating Dondozo teams as well as stopping any setup sweepers. EV'd to live Specs Blizzard from Abomasnow, meaning you can tank a lot of heavy special hits, and Icicle Crash from Baxcalibur's huge 145 Attack
  38.
  39. Farigiraf (F) @ Safety Goggles
  40. Ability: Armor Tail
  41. Tera Type: Fire
  42. EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 84 SpA / 136 SpD
  43. Sassy Nature
  44. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  45. - Tera Blast
  46. - Trick Room
  47. - Psychic
  48. - Protect
  49.
  50. Farigiraf is an incredible TR setter that is only susceptible to double targeting and non-Prankster Taunt when it comes to getting up TR. Armor Tail supports her teammate as well so never forget that while playing with her and against her. Never take Safety Goggles off of her
  51.
  52. Slowking @ Safety Goggles
  53. Ability: Oblivious/Regenerator
  54. Tera Type: Water/Fairy
  55. EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
  56. Sassy Nature
  57. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  58. - Hydro Pump
  59. - Chilly Reception
  60. - Trick Room
  61. - Psychic
  62.
  63. I haven't tried Slowking out yet for TR. Chilly Reception sounds nice for boosting your Ice Mons, clearing opposing weather, and gaining momentum. Oblivious makes you Taunt-proof while Chilly Reception combos with Regenerator for longevity
  64.
  65. Tinkaton @ Safety Goggles
  66. Ability: Own Tempo
  67. Tera Type: Steel
  68. EVs: 248 HP / 168 Atk / 52 Def / 40 SpD
  69. Brave Nature
  70. IVs: 1 Spe
  71. - Fake Out
  72. - Gigaton Hammer
  73. - Play Rough
  74. - Protect
  75.
  76. Tinkaton has huge burst damage with Gigaton Hammer, Fake Out, decent bulk with her typing, and she slaughters Fairy types uncontested. Gigaton Hammer may sound like a negative move until you realize the momentum the opponent has to give up in order to block it, allowing for easier switches and plays
  77.
  78. Tauros-Paldea-Fire @ Sitrus Berry
  79. Ability: Intimidate
  80. Tera Type: Fire
  81. EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
  82. Brave Nature
  83. IVs: 0 Spe
  84. - Raging Bull
  85. - Close Combat
  86. - Will-O-Wisp
  87. - Protect
  88.
  89. Fire Tauros is another Mon I haven't tried out yet but his offense, typing, Intimidate, and Wisp all sound strong. An EV spread will be difficult seeing as how Close Combat hurts your defenses. His next best bet is Brick Break which sucks so just click CC
  90.
  91. Hydreigon @ Life Orb
  92. Ability: Levitate
  93. Tera Type: Steel
  94. EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
  95. Quiet Nature
  96. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  97. - Earth Power/Fire Blast
  98. - Flash Cannon
  99. - Dark Pulse
  100. - Protect
  101.
  102. Steel Tera Hydreigon with Levitate is a powerful piece to control and his bulk carries him even with Life Orb. His 125 Sp Atk is ludicrous. Fire Blast is there for Amoonguss but Earth Power is nice, hits a ton of Mons
  103.
  104. Ceruledge (M) @ Expert Belt
  105. Ability: Flash Fire
  106. Tera Type: Fire/Fighting
  107. EVs: 248 HP / 180 Atk / 80 Def
  108. Brave Nature
  109. IVs: 0 Spe
  110. - Bitter Blade
  111. - Shadow Claw/Phantom Force
  112. - Brick Break
  113. - Protect
  114.
  115. Ceruledge I've tried with some success but he needs more work, great ability and offensive typing but he takes some footwork
  116.
  117. Ganbo (Gyarados) (M) @ Sitrus Berry
  118. Ability: Intimidate
  119. Tera Type: Ground
  120. EVs: 248 HP / 56 Atk / 124 Def / 80 SpD
  121. Relaxed Nature
  122. IVs: 3 Spe
  123. - Waterfall
  124. - Iron Head
  125. - Tera Blast/Earthquake
  126. - Taunt
  127.
  128. Gyarados is strong initially but he can lose you momentum if he's burned or Intimidated, plus his Attack uninvested can only go so far. Tera Earthquake can be strong to remedy that. He's mostly good for his typing, Taunt, bulk, and Intimidate
  129.
  130. Grimmsnarl @ Safety Goggles
  131. Ability: Prankster
  132. Tera Type: Steel
  133. EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
  134. Relaxed Nature
  135. - Fake Out
  136. - Parting Shot
  137. - Spirit Break
  138. - Taunt
  139.
  140. Best support Mon you can ask for. Fake Out helps get up Trick Room, Taunt shuts down opposing debuffs and Taunts, Parting Shot boosts your momentum and cushions your switch-ins, and Spirit Break helps deal with special attackers like Chi-Yu and Flutter Mane. Light Screen and Reflect can take the place of Parting Shot but you are losing momentum without Parting Shot. Play Rough can be used over Spirit Break but remember that this meta has Mons like Chi-Yu and Flutter Mane roaming around
  141.
  142. Hatterene @ Sitrus Berry
  143. Ability: Magic Bounce
  144. Tera Type: Fairy
  145. EVs: 248 HP / 140 Def / 68 SpA / 52 SpD
  146. Relaxed Nature
  147. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  148. - Psychic
  149. - Dazzling Gleam
  150. - Trick Room
  151. - Protect
  152.
  153. Nothing I'd change about her, she's perfect. Maybe some EV optimization but I feel great with this. Tera Fairy boosts your Dazzling Gleam to pick up the pace for offense should you need it
  154.
  155. Iron Hands @ Assault Vest
  156. Ability: Quark Drive
  157. Tera Type: Flying
  158. EVs: 252 Atk / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
  159. Adamant Nature
  160. - Fake Out
  161. - Thunder Punch
  162. - Close Combat
  163. - Ice Punch
  164.
  165. Iron Hands is extremely powerful. Fake Out, amazing offensive typing, huge damage, Protosynthesis can be used alongside Torkoal or to take advantage of enemy sun, Ice Punch rounds off his coverage, and he can take so many hits with AV even at -1 from CC. Iron Hands is a top dollar Mon
  166.
  167. Brute Bonnet @ Sitrus Berry
  168. Ability: Protosynthesis
  169. Tera Type: Water
  170. EVs: 252 Atk / 132 Def / 124 SpD
  171. Brave Nature
  172. IVs: 0 Spe
  173. - Seed Bomb
  174. - Sucker Punch
  175. - Crunch
  176. - Spore/Protect
  177.
  178. Brute Bonnet @ Assault Vest
  179. Ability: Protosynthesis
  180. Tera Type: Water
  181. EVs: 224 Atk / 244 Def / 40 SpD
  182. Brave Nature
  183. IVs: 0 Spe
  184. - Sucker Punch
  185. - Stomping Tantrum
  186. - Seed Bomb
  187. - Crunch
  188.
  189. Brute Bonnet should be used alongside Torkoal for boosted damage as well as shitting on Amoonguss teams with Spore and Fire damage. The AV set can live Modest Charcoal Heatran Eruption at full power as well as non-boosted Terrakion Close Combat. I've used him a bit recently and he does hit pretty hard and Sucker Punch is always nice
  190.
  191. Gardevoir @ Safety Goggles
  192. Ability: Trace
  193. Tera Type: Fighting
  194. EVs: 248 HP / 48 Def / 212 SpA
  195. Quiet Nature
  196. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  197. - Moonblast
  198. - Aura Sphere
  199. - Psyshock
  200. - Protect/Trick Room
  201.
  202. Gardevoir is Taunt bait for Trick Room which lets you sneak in damage as they burn a turn expecting you to set up Trick Room. She's a go-to Mon for dedicating your Tera type to with her new Aura Sphere coverage. This set lives BP from Scizor but you can take off the Safety Goggles and put on Life Orb for even more damage
  203.
  204. Stantler @ Eviolite
  205. Ability: Intimidate
  206. Tera Type: Dark
  207. EVs: 196 HP / 160 Def / 152 SpD
  208. Sassy Nature
  209. IVs: 0 Spe
  210. - Trick Room
  211. - Tera Blast
  212. - Disable
  213. - Helping Hand
  214.
  215. Eviolite Stantler is immune to Ghost, has great bulk and support moves, packs Intimidate for the team support, and some Amoonguss players at team preview may believe that he's Sap Sipper (this will be revealed as soon as Stantler is sent out). Disable is awesome for breaking through Protect after they click it and Helping Hand patches up your low offense
  216.
  217. Kingambit (M) @ Black Glasses
  218. Ability: Defiant
  219. EVs: 248 HP / 124 Atk / 112 Def / 24 SpD
  220. Brave Nature
  221. IVs: 0 Spe
  222. - Sucker Punch
  223. - Kowtow Cleave
  224. - Iron Head
  225. - Protect
  226.
  227. Supreme Overlord sucks and you should never ever use it. It is objectively inferior to Defiant for both team support and sweeping. Kingambit should be able to come out whenever he wants, not just when you've already lost all of your other Mons. Defiant also helps support your fellow physical attackers and some idiots expect that sending in Intimidate vs you while help them. Objectively correct views aside, Sucker Punch is incredible coming from his huge Attack plus Black Glasses and potential Defiant procs. Kowtow Cleave does huge damage on it's own and Iron Head blows up Fairy types. Kingambit is nice with it
  228.
  229. Dragonite @ Silk Scarf
  230. Ability: Inner Focus
  231. Tera Type: Normal
  232. EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
  233. Adamant Nature
  234. - Fire Punch
  235. - Extreme Speed
  236. - Ice Spinner/Iron Head
  237. - Protect
  238.
  239. Tera Normal Extreme Speed Dragonite lets you bypass Speed and the game state so you're not always reliant on Trick Room. Inner Focus is the best ability for him, Multiscale only works once and it sucks in doubles cuz being immune to Intimidate is better. You are going to have to commit to the Tera with him or else he's deadweight, his big Attack won't cover up the weaker BP moves. I haven't used him yet but he can be used on any type of team regardless of archetype so try him on other styles than Trick Room
  240.
  241. Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
  242. Ability: Vessel of Ruin
  243. Tera Type: Water
  244. EVs: 252 HP / 184 Atk / 72 SpD
  245. Sassy Nature
  246. IVs: 0 Spe
  247. - Throat Chop
  248. - Stomping Tantrum/Earthquake
  249. - Tera Blast
  250. - Protect
  251.
  252. Huge tank that can dish out damage at a decent rate, debuffs all special attackers on the field, can wail on Electric types, and potential Tera Water for the mixup. I haven't used this beast yet and I wish he learned Bulk Up
  253.
  254. Wo-Chien @ Leftovers
  255. Ability: Tablets of Ruin
  256. Tera Type: Grass
  257. EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
  258. Sassy Nature
  259. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  260. - Giga Drain
  261. - Dark Pulse
  262. - Ruination
  263. - Protect
  264.
  265. Certified (not) answer to Dondozo with Ruination and Giga Drain plus Tera Grass. Besides that, decent damage output and the debuff from Tablets of Ruin helps support your typically physically frail Trick Room setters. Grass/Dark is decent coverage plus Ruination is so good. I haven't used him yet but I've discussed him with my battle partner for a bit, decent potential
  266.
  267. Toedscruel @ Leftovers
  268. Ability: Mycelium Might
  269. EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
  270. Sassy Nature
  271. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  272. - Giga Drain
  273. - Earth Power
  274. - Protect
  275. - Spore
  276.
  277. You can Spore opposing Hatterene and Insomnia Mons but that's about it. This is mostly for anti Trick Room on other teams but I might find other uses for him later, don't concern yourself with this too much right now unless he's your favorite Pokemon . I haven't used him yet
  278.
  279. Sandy Shocks @ Booster Energy
  280. Ability: Protosynthesis
  281. EVs: 252 HP / 180 SpA / 76 SpD
  282. Quiet Nature
  283. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  284. - Earth Power
  285. - Thunderbolt
  286. - Volt Switch
  287. - Protect
  288.
  289. Commit to the Tera with this for huge Electric damage plus Earth Power is nice. Volt Switch is good momentum, good damage output from this Mon but Rotom-Wash might be better for the typing and Volt Switch. I haven't used him yet and unironically Ampharos is probs better
  290.
  291. Slither Wing @ Life Orb
  292. Ability: Protosynthesis
  293. EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
  294. Brave Nature
  295. IVs: 0 Spe
  296. - Close Combat
  297. - First Impression
  298. - Leech Life
  299. - U-turn
  300.
  301. Burst damage plus CC hits like a truck but he's mostly here cuz I think he's cute, can't think of a good use for the guy cuz Iron Hands is better. I haven't used him yet
  302.
  303. Abomasnow @ Sitrus Berry/Light Clay
  304. Ability: Snow Warning
  305. EVs: 248 HP / 24 Def / 216 SpA / 20 SpD
  306. Quiet Nature
  307. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  308. - Giga Drain
  309. - Earth Power/Aurora Veil
  310. - Blizzard
  311. - Protect
  312.
  313. Snow boosts his Defense to beast mode levels as he can tank more hits and set up Aurora Veil if he's there for support or Earth Power for the coverage. I haven't used him yet but he should be able to fit onto some bulkier teams
  314.
  315. Revavroom @ Metal Coat
  316. Ability: Overcoat
  317. EVs: 248 HP / 156 Atk / 104 Def
  318. Brave Nature
  319. IVs: 0 Spe
  320. - Gunk Shot
  321. - Parting Shot
  322. - Spin Out
  323. - Protect
  324.
  325. Great typing and bulk, huge damage with Spin Out which works well under Trick Room, Parting Shot momentum, Overcoat immunity to Amoonguss, and he wails on Fairy types. I haven't used him yet but he sounds strong as hell and can 1v1 some Mons
  326.
  327. Toxtricity @ Throat Spray
  328. Ability: Punk Rock
  329. EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
  330. Quiet Nature
  331. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  332. - Volt Switch
  333. - Sludge Bomb
  334. - Overdrive
  335. - Protect
  336.
  337. Spread damage with Throat Spray and Punk Rock but he can end up being a one hit wonder, Volt Switch helps alleviate this problem. Beats down Hatterene and Water types. I haven't used him yet
  338.
  339. Gothitelle @ Sitrus Berry
  340. Ability: Shadow Tag
  341. EVs: 248 HP / 28 Def / 232 SpD
  342. Relaxed Nature
  343. IVs: 0 Spe
  344. - Fake Out/Helping Hand/Heal Pulse/Taunt
  345. - Helping Hand/Heal Pulse/Taunt
  346. - Trick Room
  347. - Psychic
  348.
  349. Shadow Tag will never not be good especially if your team is debuff centered. This goes well with Grimmsnarl for Parting Shot momentum and Healing Pulse to patch up said momentum. I haven't used her yet but she's proven to be strong in previous gens and I expect her to do well here
  350.
  351. Torkoal @ Expert Belt
  352. Ability: Drought
  353. Tera Type: Grass
  354. EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpA
  355. Quiet Nature
  356. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  357. - Earth Power
  358. - Flamethrower
  359. - Solar Beam
  360. - Protect
  361.
  362. Tera Grass Torkoal is amazing because he doesn't need to Tera Grass to be successful, it's just there for when you need it in a good matchup. Expert Belt goes well with his great coverage. This thing can beat down cheater Mon Dondozo in a few turns which is huge
  363.
  364. Copperajah @ Life Orb
  365. Ability: Sheer Force
  366. Tera Type: Ground
  367. EVs: 248 HP / 192 Atk / 68 SpD
  368. Brave Nature
  369. IVs: 0 Spe
  370. - Zen Headbutt
  371. - Stomping Tantrum
  372. - Iron Head
  373. - Protect
  374.
  375. Copperajah has some potential with his big offense and his bulk plus Tera can go a long way. I haven't used him yet
  376.
  377. Annihilape @ Leftovers
  378. Ability: Defiant
  379. Tera Type: Ghost
  380. EVs: 248 HP / 208 Atk / 40 Def / 12 SpD
  381. Brave Nature
  382. IVs: 0 Spe
  383. - Rage Fist
  384. - Drain Punch
  385. - Protect
  386. - U-turn
  387.
  388. Rage Fist is insane, U-Turn gives you momentum, Defiant is great for your fellow physical attackers. I haven't used him yet
  389.
  390. Cetitan @ Assault Vest
  391. Ability: Thick Fat
  392. Tera Type: Steel
  393. EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
  394. Brave Nature
  395. IVs: 0 Spe
  396. - Ice Spinner
  397. - Stomping Tantrum
  398. - Heavy Slam
  399. - Ice Shard
  400.
  401. Good tank on paper with good coverage, haven't used him yet
  402.
  403. Export
  404. Trick Room (Gallade) @ Safety Goggles
  405. Ability: Sharpness
  406. Tera Type: Fighting
  407. EVs: 248 HP / 124 Atk / 108 Def / 28 SpD
  408. Brave Nature
  409. IVs: 0 Spe
  410. - Psycho Cut
  411. - Sacred Sword
  412. - Trick Room
  413. - Protect
  414.
  415. Farigiraf (F) @ Safety Goggles
  416. Ability: Armor Tail
  417. Tera Type: Fire
  418. EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 84 SpA / 136 SpD
  419. Sassy Nature
  420. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  421. - Tera Blast
  422. - Trick Room
  423. - Psychic
  424. - Protect
  425.
  426. Slowking @ Safety Goggles
  427. Ability: Oblivious/Regenerator
  428. Tera Type: Water/Fairy
  429. EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
  430. Sassy Nature
  431. IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
  432. - Hydro Pump
  433. - Chilly Reception
  434. - Trick Room
  435. - Psychic
  436.
  437. Trick Room Support (Tinkaton) @ Safety Goggles
  438. Ability: Own Tempo
  439. Tera Type: Steel
  440. EVs: 248 HP / 168 Atk / 52 Def / 40 SpD
  441. Brave Nature
  442. IVs: 1 Spe
  443. - Fake Out
  444. - Gigaton Hammer
  445. - Play Rough
  446. - Protect
  447.
  448. Trick Room Support (Tauros-Paldea-Fire) @ Sitrus Berry
  449. Ability: Intimidate
  450. Tera Type: Fire
  451. EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
  452. Brave Nature
  453. IVs: 0 Spe
  454. - Raging Bull
  455. - Close Combat
  456. - Will-O-Wisp
  457. - Protect
  458.
  459. Trick Room (Hydreigon) @ Life Orb
  460. Ability: Levitate
  461. Tera Type: Steel
