Traveling is nice

Alexithymiaa: -Adam sat at the kitchen table with all of his books spread around him, a highlighter in his hand as he tried to diligently study for his finals this week. As he read through the material, he rewarded himself with pieces of popcorn from the bowl he had next to him, which was sort of torture because the air smelled like freshly popped popcorn which made focusing kind of hard because all he wanted to do was eat the whole bowl.-
Covet: Tae should have been studying for her finals but she'd been working on her dance routine for work instead. Her forehead was glistening a little but her whole enitre mood seemed to be a hell of a lot more chipper, but then, if anyone noticed a missing accessory was now back around her neck again. Tae walked to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water out, and chucked a good half of it down. "Hey Adam, how's the studying going?"
Alexithymiaa: "It's definitely going." He said a little glumly since he wasnt having any fun with this. He grabbed for another handful of popcorn to toss into his mouth, turning to look over at Tae. "What are you up to?"-
Covet: "Getting somethign to drink. I've been working on my routine upstairs for the last hour or so." She told him putting the water bottle to her head. "But I think I might be getting better at it afterall."
Alexithymiaa: "Well you know what they say. Practice makes perfect." He said with a small smile, leaning his arm on top of his books in front of him. "I'm glad you're feeling more confident with your dance though. Can I see-" He cut hhimself off when he remembered that she was an exotic dancer, quickly closing his mouth and pressing his lips together.-
Covet: "It's pretty basic, I'd show you but I'm sure you wouldn't feel comfortable with it, and I wouldn't want Hayley to be upset over it." Tae said to him politely. "I'm just feeling better in general. I had a great weekend." She told him intentionally leaving out the part where she was at Drew's all weekend.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I forgot. I'm sorry." He said with lowered eyes, trying to make himself busy with his textbook. "I'm just glad you're feeling better. I don't like seeing you so down."-
Covet: "Well, things shoudl be good now. All of that stuff is fixed and things are really good. I should focus on finals, but, I have too much energy right now." She told Adam. "All this positive feel good as me buzzed."
Alexithymiaa: "There's nothhing wrong with that so long as you still make time to study. Doing well on your finals is really important for your overall grade. I'm not saying anyone needs to study like I do, because I need to get accepted into the Law program, but you still need to do well."-
Covet: "I will. My stuff isn't too hard. Some stage building notes I need to go over, but It's pretty hands on so I remember it pretty well. " Tae told him as she sat down noticing the popcorn. "Mind if I have a little bit?" She asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh, sure." He pushed the bowl a little closer to her as he nodded hhis head, dropping his attention back down to his textbooks. "Part of me wishes my studies were more hands on. Next semester I'll be able to apply for an internship to assist with a local firm, but no one really accepts interns until their seniors in their undergrad program, or a first year in grad school."-
Covet: "That's really cool. What does that mean you're going to do with your time over the summer?" She asked him as she played with the waterbottle, while munching on some of the popcorn.
Alexithymiaa: "Probably try to pick up some more daytime hours at the shop and save up some money. I'm going home to visit my family in a couple weeks and whhen I get back I sort of need to work more to replace the money I'm using to fly home." He said with a sheepish grin because he didnt really like the idea of spending money. "But my moms also want to come out and visit over the Summer."-
Covet: "Aww, that sounds awesome. I WANT to go on a nice tropical vacation, do some traveling, but I don't think I'll be able to do that for a couple summers yet.
Covet: *" Tae told him.
Alexithymiaa: "Where would you go?' he asked her, reaching for some popcorn also because it was okay during his break from studying. Popcorn was only a reward when studying.-
Covet: "Hmm, probaby something like. The bahamas, or the Caribbean. Bright blue waters, Bright warm sun. " Tae said lounching back.
Alexithymiaa: "It gets really warm in places like that..." He trailed off, since he wasnt really a fan of the heat. "I think I'd prefer something like a cruise to Alaska. If you go in the Summer, it's like a nice seventy degrees the entire time and from what I've heard, it's really pretty there."-
Covet: "Yeah, I dunno, Alaska might be a little too cold for me. But I wouldn't just want to stay there, I'd want to kind of travel about. Do a cruise or something." Tae said leaning over while she munched on popcorn.
Alexithymiaa: "Well in the Summer Alaska is really nice. I wouldnt want to go there in the winter, but my aunt actually took a cruise around the Caribbean and she loved it. I guess you get to see and do more things that way."-
Covet: "Yeah, and there's always fun stuff to do on the cruise too." Tae told him. "But, otherwise I'll just be working my butt off here in portland. The closest I'll get to a white sand beach will be the lake." She said with a laugh.
Alexithymiaa: "Hey, the sand at the lake isnt too bad. Kind of rocky I guess, but it's whiteish..." He started to laugh, sweeping his hand up through his hair. "I guess I see your point though."-
Covet: "Yeah, I mean, really I'd love to travel all over the world. I'd really like to see a good chunk of Asia. , Australia, the mediteranean, South America." Tae said with a smile. Pretty much anywhere that wasn't here.
Alexithymiaa: "Traveling is really cool, but it's expensive. And most professions don't allow you to travel everywhere so easily since so few jobs incorporate international traveling as part of the job. Do you think that's something you could make work, with what you want to do?"-
Covet: "Probably, I mean, it's not ideal, but at the same time, set building for major productions, or even costumes for the same thing, a lot of those people have to travel with the crew. " Tae said. "But I need to pay for a lot of schooling to make that happen. I was briefly considering a flight attendant job."
Alexithymiaa: "Well they do movies all over the world so that could probably work. I don't really think you need more than a bachelors to be able to work in that field." He shrugged, rubbing a hand over the textbook in front of him. "Any kind of degree in an art field, they dont usually look at the degree as much as they do what you know from it. So if you're good at it, it won't matter."-
Covet: "Mhhm. The degree would just help me work on my portfolio some more, so that it is impressive." Tae said "I could be happy with a Bachelor's. And I think if I could make it big, My parents will be okay with getting to see my name on the movie screens."
Alexithymiaa: "I think they would be proud of you regardless of how big your name was in the industry." He sent her a warm smile, propping his hand underneath his chin to support his head. "Speaking of your parents, how is your mom doing?"-
Covet: "She has he good days and bad. I'd be lying if I didn't feel at least a little guilty still. I know you guys said I shouldn't but, a little bit of that's always going to be there." Tae said softly. "Which is why I want to work hard, and do things that will make them proud."
Covet: [GG on getting back with Drew then Tae, you dipshit.]
Alexithymiaa: (Better not tell them because then Lisa will just start drinking again!)
Covet: [XD]
Alexithymiaa: "Well thats like anything else. There will always be good days and bad days. It's a matter of whether or not the good days outweigh the bad days. You know she's getting better if the bad days get fewer and far between." He said with a smile. "I'm sure they are very proud of you regardless."-
Covet: [I'm slowly working on the vegas elopement storyline, because I think that would be HILARIOUS. XD]
Covet: "Somedays probably less than more. But I'll take what I can get." Tae said with a smile. " Are we still planning on going up to Washington to go camping this summer too?" She asked him.
Alexithymiaa: (I agree with this hilarity)
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I was actually talking to Felix last week at practice about camping. He's pretty good with that stuff so maybe we can all go together or something. I do need to get some camping supplies before then, but we have plenty of time for that."-
Covet: "Oh cool. I'll need to invest in some too. At least a tent and a sleeping bag." Tae told him, then gave a yawn. "Wow, how late is it?" She asked him
Alexithymiaa: "That's what i was thinking. And maybe a little camping grill. I don't really want to depend on him to have all of that stuff for everyone to use." He glanced down at his phone on the table, checking the table. "Kind of late, but considering there is no class tomorrow, I think I can afford to spend a little more time studying tonight. But I also don't have work in the morning, so that helps."-
Covet: "I think I'm going to go catch a shower then maybe get a little bit of studying done before bed. Good luck with your studying." She told him as she got up and made her way upstairs to do the shower and bed things.
