  1. Q: What is the goal of True Ending NMG?
  2. A: To unlock the True Ending and fight The Radiance, you need to collect 1800 Dream Essence (which can be collected from various dream bosses, warrior graves, and trees spread throughout the world) and receive the Awoken Dream Nail. This allows you to enter White Palace, complete the Kingsoul charm, and turn it into the Void Heart charm which then unlocks the true final boss. The NMG means "No Major Glitches", meaning that major glitches such as out of bounds, various forms of duping, and various other things from older patches are banned. Minor things such as inventory dropping and hitting switches through walls are allowed.

  4. Q: What is inventory dropping/Why are you opening your menu in mid-air so much?
  5. A: Before the Lifeblood update, if you open your inventory menu in mid-air your fall speed accelerates dramatically and your landing lag is also completely cancelled. This saves small amounts of time throughout the run and makes movement in a lot of areas MUCH smoother.
  6.
  7. Q: What charms does the run use?
  8. A: You get Shaman Stone pretty early and keep it on for the whole run. It increases the size of your spells as well as increasing their damage by 33%. Due to the limited number of charm slots, the run needs to overcharm for turning Kingsoul into Void Heart, otherwise Shaman Stone is our only equipped charm.

  10. Q: Why don't you ever upgrade the nail?
  11. A: Spells do most of the heavy lifting as is, but in addition to just not really needing the damage, all of the warrior grave bosses have scaling health values based on how upgraded your nail is. Keeping it at the base level makes those fights go by a lot quicker. Every warrior grave boss starts at 200 HP with no upgrades and even a single nail upgrade roughly doubles all of them, going up to as low as 320 and as high as 420.
  12.
  13. Q: What version of the game do you run on?
  14. A: 1.2.2.1 as we need a patch new enough to have the Ancient Basin stag station, Dream Gate, and various other routing necessities. In addition to that, this patch allows you to hit things through walls with your nail, which allows you to skip an enemy gauntlet in City of Tears. There are various other small nice things as well, such as the Spiny Husks in Queen's Gardens dealing no damage with their projectiles and Traitor Lord being in a relatively unchanged state still.
