⌦❛ Desi was born in Atlanta but moved to Los Angeles, California when she was 5, she did ballet and figure skating while growing up and loved singing. When Desi was 13 (turning 14), her friend was auditioning for a kpop company and persuaded her to audition for one aswell. So, Desi decided to audition for Starship Entertainment. After passing the auditions, Desi moved to Korea alone and continued to train for 3 years. After 3 years, Desi and a few other female trainees participated in Produce 101. Unfortunately, Desi only placed 13th in the finals, unable to debut in their project group IOI. Following Produce 101, Desi trained for 1 more year before moving to SM Entertainment. She watched her friends debut while she continued to train for 2 years more and now she's finally debuting!
