- I lived here just one year, and I swear - I wanted out by month 2!
- Payment
- Several times when I made a payment, I got no email. Their website doesn't let you print the confirmation page after payment...
- because there is no confirmation page! If you don't get an email, you have to hunt them down, and get them to provide
- proof that you made payment, else they could charge your account, and since you never got a hard copy for payment,
- they can claim there was a bug in the system, and they never received payment.
- Sketchy! I DON'T TRUST THEIR PAYMENT GATEWAY! They don't accept checks, cash, money orders or anything but an online BUGGY ASS fscking payment!
- And it says so in their lease agreement: We will accept no other payment than through our website.
- Maintenance
- Every single problem seemed like a brand new experience ... From air filters to window blinds
- some of the most simple things that any apartment complex should always have in inventory - this
- complex has to put them on back order because whoever manages inventory cannot seem to do their job.
- I don't know who the current team is, but whoever did our apartment on move-in was terribad!
- We moved into a horrid infestation of Wasps - not just 2 or 3 here and there, 6, 18, 14, 20
- wasps found EVERY SINGLE DAY!
- Took them over a MONTH AND A HALF to get the siding replaced outside to keep the wasps out
- just as the population was starting to rise.
- Move-In: These people are terribad at move-ins! Gave them a solid two weeks to get the place
- cleaned up and ready to go, and not only did they wait until AFTER we moved in before they
- decided to fix anything; they took their sweet time and we had people in and out of the
- apartment for as long as THREE MONTHS into the lease - that's right people, for 12-16 weeks,
- we were dealing with move-in maintenance calls, when they could have had most of the problems
- resolved before we stepped foot into the apartment.
- The NEW maintenance manager (yeah, they hired a black manager now because a country-boy white
- manager presiding over three black men and an egyptian looked a little too suspicious) is completely
- disrespectful to the residents in that he parks his F150-Platinum (LIC:FHN-2714) in the middle of
- the gate so that one of the lanes is blocked EVERY DAY - and they expect you to just drive around it.
- See attached picture.
- It'd be one thing if it was just a means of access because he was carrying lots of heavy boxes or stuff
- to and from his truck that often, but no - he parks here like it's his personal parking space
- because he can't walk his fat happy ass from the parking lot like everyone else. I complained about it
- and they rolled their eyes at me like "You can just drive around..."
- It's simply not fair that the maintenance people in this lot get special treatment like that - I don't
- get to park there without getting an earful from the apt-mgr, or worse, getting my car tow'd. >_>
- Move-OUT: I could not stand to live here longer than was absolutely necessary; if I had the means, I would have been out of here MONTH 2!!!
- I gave them a MAKE-READY apartment in which I cleaned the tile floors, and not just vacuumed, but also got a Rug Doctor myself and
- shampooed the carpets. I sanitized the kitchen myself. I sanitized the bathrooms myself. They STILL managed to find 100$ worth of
- shit to charge me for "cleaning up" after move-out. If they send anymore charges to me for collections, I swear I will refuse payment
- and file a lawsuit for fraudulent charges because I have a final payout ledger that says they are paid in full. <- This is not a threat, it's
- a warning.
- Towing
- Speaking of towing - someone parked in my paid covered parking spot one time. I called the number for the complex towing agency
- and could not get their car removed because the towing agency was so out of date, they said they had no recent records, and no
- out of hours maintenance number they could call.
- So, basically if you're paying for a covered spot it seems it's just as much fair game to any other parking spot and you're basically
- paying them for nothing.
- Packages
- This office takes absolutely no responsibility for packages whatsoever, and will not hesitate
- to send your package back! I hardly received anything I ordered either on time, or to the correct
- apartment. I can tell there's tension in the office between them and the package delivery because
- we get deliveries to the wrong address almost weekly!
- They even have a blurp in the lease agreement: "We will not be responsible for packages"
- BEWARE IF YOU ARE AN ONLINE SHOPPER!!!
- Electrical
- Electric in this building needs a complete refactor: I have a 3-bdrm. Get this:
- The guest bathroom, the first bedroom, the master bath AND half the master bedroom are
- ALL on the same circut! How is this building up to city fire code with that kind of setup??
- One of the outlets in the kitchen didn't work, and Larry the maintenance manager sounded more
- like he was complaining than he was trying to GetShitDone(TM) when he said that he'd have to get a
- master electrician to take a look.
- Cable
- BEWARE! They REQUIRE you to have cable - even if yuo don't want it or use it. They have some "packaged" deal here
- that enables you to get a cheaper price for the cable - great if you're a TV junkie, shitty if you're an Internet
- guy like me.
- Sewage
- I constantly have to keep my drains plugged up because we have a sewage problem here. Not sure what the deal is,
- but every other day, I came home to, or started smelling sewage everywhere in the apartment, as if it was seeping
- out of the walls.
- I cannot tell you how many garbage disposal clearner CASES (yes, the bundles of set of 3 or 4) I used to keep the
- disposal clean, but to no avail did it stop the horribile wretched stench of ill-sewage management.
- Dishwasher
- Speaking of sewage: The dishwasher was beyond salvation. However, they sent the head of maintenance out to try and hand clean
- it up (despite my detailing of using bleach several times to try and sanitize the machine + drains) before they finally got us
- a new unit. He proclaimed that "it was new just a few years ago" - well, it ain't new NOW, and I PAID for upgraded appliances!
- Bathroom
- While we were grateful they finally did something about the bathroom in the master bedroom, we are not grateful for the fact that
- they waited until AFTER we moved in to do something about it. For 6 weeks, we and our neighbors had to deal with all kinds of unnecessary
- noise and random people in our apartment doing various things. What's worse: They did a half-fast job at it. See attached pics to see
- how they cut the tile, but didn't put any kinds of seals around it. Get this: They asked us if we wanted the same old attachments back on the
- faucet and handle - I said "Can we at least get NEW faucets to go with our tile??"
- Before moving out, the tile is already starting to fall apart because they didn't finish their work and now they are going to have
- to put up with more maintenance on it since the job wasn't done right the first time.
- Community
- As you would expect with any complex thta allows pets: There's dog shit everywhere despite those bags being in every place that has
- grass, and nobody cares to clean it up, so watch where you step.
- I complained about it several times with nothing done about it.
- What Others Are Saying
- I heard from my neighbors that they were getting +200$ and +300$ spikes to their rent before I moved out.
- I heard from others that they were fined for putting their trash out for one day at the wrong time, meanwhile others get to leave their
- trash out 24/7 with no consequence, so there's an inconsistency in enforcement.
- Conclusion
- Overall, I did not have a good experience here and would not recommend this place to others.
- They are lazy, incompetent, and have no customer service whatsoever.
- I won't be surprised if I get a bill just for publishing this review...
