Rode with gret raundoun
Ogain Tristrem the knight
And thought to bere him doun.
With a launce unlight
He smot him in the lyoun
And Tristrem that was wight
Bar him thurch the dragoun
In the scheld.
That Moraunt bold and boun
Smot him in the scheld.

Up he stirt bidene
And lepe opon his stede.
He faught, withouten wene,
So wolf that wald wede.
