dream log 55

apparently my subconscious likes being in karkat's POV i guess?

so, i'm being karkat and i'm walking around the planet of mars for whatever reason with dave and dirk. we walk away from a parking lot made by humans, and jump down a space-base tunnel into a room that looks very similar to the mega-strife session that went down on lofaf after the the building collapsed into the lava pond.

and of course dave and dirk choose to strife. so i climb back up onto a spot near the tunnel entrance where i find a machine that sells martian cheese and it's so hard to choose one, but at least it gives me time to kill until either one of them won and we could all go back to the car we rode in on in the parking lot.

i eventually pick out two cheeses i think might be decent, but i look down behind me and there's only one strider on the buildings that are sinking into lava. it's dave. i get worried because there's only so much give the buildings can hold before there's no flooring to stand on, and i don't even know WHY dave isn't using his floating abilities.

then suddenly he's up on the same platform i'm on, saying he's ready to go back to the parking lot. i nod, taking two cheeses and running back up the tunnel.

but we keep running, and dave thinks we're too late and our chauffeur's already left with the car. i think we float over until we see a red car with the license plate that says something like EB0L1NG and that's our car. there's a chauffeur in it, sure enough, but our chauffeur says this isn't the right car, it's another one that's still in the same spot we parked it in, and we breathe a sigh of relief.
