  1. from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel general #703, #704
  2. ----------------------------------------
  3. >Charlie learning about animal therapy and emotional support animals
  4. >Goes to the infernal pet shelter and adopts a half dozen or so animals for the hotel
  5. >Shenanigans ensue
  6. --
  7. >Turns out that most of the native animals in hell are exceptionally violent
  8. >Most pet stores subscribe to the ideology of 'if you want a razor lion, you better be able to subjugate the razor lion.'
  9. >Due to the nature of the hotel, a good chunk of her clientele is there because they're weak and wouldn't survive outside of the relative safety of the hotel.
  10. >They couldn't subjugate the razor lions
  11. >The razor lions now have full bellies and Charlie is mentally scarred
  12. --
  13. >the situation is exacerbated due to the fact that sinners do not 'die' when killed, they simply regenerate
  14. >unfortunately the digestive tracts of the razor lion's can hold and process organic matter for weeks, even months if food is scarce
  15. >the acidic environment, combined with the churching of the stomachs, makes it impossible for regeneration to occur
  16. >now Charlie has to track down, capture and pump the stomachs of the razor lions to retrieve the digested remains of her clients so they can regenerate
  17. >thank satan sinners can't feel themselves regenerating
  18.
  19. Cont.
  20. -
  21. Nah, the mental scarring comes AFTERWARDS.
  22. >while a lot of the hotel's residents are there for shelter, some of them, and a good portion on the staff distinctly ISN'T
  23. >Alastor fancies himself as a big game hunter, Vaggie knows her way around with the angelic spear, Niffty won't shy away from violence, and Angel, as well as (ironically) Husk live by the philosophy that "bullets beat claws
  24. >together, the five systematically hunt down, incapacitate, cut open (and then either prep for food or taxidermy) all the offending animals, rescuing whoever hasn't been completely digested already, whilst also relieving themselves of a lot of built-up workplace tension and frustration
  25. >seeing the five sinners she knows the best cheerfully chatting and talking with each other as they nonchalantly carve up and skin the wild beasts is the type of cognitive dissonance-inducing sight that sends the princess to hide under her bed for the rest of the day, rocking in a fetal position
  26. >it is only after the remains have been removed, and the residents have been patched up that she coaxed out from underneath there, though, still shaking
  27. >there's a bit of guilt felt in hindsight of the obvious pleasure the gang took in tactically taking down the apex predators (well, felt by everyone but Alastor, of course), but Charlie is still convinced about the idea...
  28. >...which she'll DEFINITELY try again...
  29. >...later...
  30. >...sometime...
  31. >...
  32. >...
  33. >...
  34. >...maybe...
  35. --
  36. Lmao
  37. >Second time around she goes with a pony
  38. >Because she's a literal fking magical princess, of course she fking went and got a pony
  39. >It's not like they don't have plenty of room for it
  40. >Blitzo discovers there's a pony hanging around in the pride ring
  41. >Sneaks into the hotel to feed it carrots and try to ride it
  42. >Additional shenanigans ensue
  43. -
  44. >"Sir, I know business has been rather slow, but is this really necessary?"
  45. >"Would you stop btching for five minutes? Our job couldn't be any easier! Millie helps that creepy fk in the kitchen, Loonie helps the old fart at the bar, YOU get the cushy job of filing papers with the grey btch, and I do the hard part of taking care of the therapy animal!"
  46. >"...You just want to ride the pony, don't you?"
  47. >"SHUT UP, Moxxie!"
  48. >"Are we even getting paid for this? This is basically a rehabilitation center and shelter. For SINNERS. Their finances must be precarious at BEST.
  49. >"First off, don't be rcist. Second, the owner to place is the PRINCESS of Hell! She's even richer than Stolas! She HAS to be!"
  50. >"Hasn't she been practically disowned by her father? She was openly embarrassed on the news, for crying out loud..."
  51. >"Nonsense, that was just good, intensive interviewing! Killjoy knows how to run her show. Doing what the Princess wants to do takes balls, and she just showed her that she'll have to toughen up for it!"
  52. >"...Right, because we should trust the behavior of a newscaster who ended up in their culture's place of Eternal Punishment for her deeds while alive."
  53. >"You seriously need to stop being such a rcist, Moxxie."
  54. >"And YOU need to stop being so impulsive, SIR! You seriously sent Loona to work at the BAR, of all places? ALONGSIDE a FELINE sinner?"
  55. >"Oh, for fuck's sake, he isn't ACTUALLY a cat, shithead! He just looks like one! It's like... Wearing a costume! That... You can't take off! Because... It's... Your skin... Huh..."
  56. >"...I better see a paycheck out of this."
  57. >"You WILL, now quit bitching and get back to work!"
  58. >"Hmph. I will. At least Miss Vagatha is easy to work with."
  59. >"Of COURSE you'd get along well with her! Should I tell Millie you're open for threesmes?"
  60. >"SIR!"
  61. --
  62. I love the idea of Moxxie and Vaggie bonding over the fact that they're both the practical straightman of their respective groups.
  63.
  64. Cont.
  65. -
  66. >irritable, grounded pricks tend to recognize one another
  67. >while these personalities usually don't mesh well, Moxxie and Vaggie found each other's polite company to be refreshing, despite their initial reservations
  68. >the imp quickly picked upon the fact that the sinner looked suspiciously similar to the Exterminators that haunted Hell once every year, while the grey woman was well aware that the Hellborne worked as the gunman for an organization that TECHNICALLY made THEIR work all the more difficult
  69. >however, some idle chat was enough to break the ice, with both founding the other sensible and easy to work with
  70. >they had much to relate, having zany significant others (Millie and Charlie, respectively, though the latter also served as Vaggie's equivalent for the "irresponsible boss") and insufferable co-workers (Blitzo and Loona for Moxxie, Alastor and Husk for Vaggie, with the added baggage of Angel on top of them)
  71.
  72. >at the bar, the choleric demeanor of both feline sinner and Hellhound meant that they left each other mostly alone, and neither really did their job, as Loona was too busy with her phone, while Husk drank the day away
  73. >Millie and Alastor got on like a house on fire, as both were a blend of creepy and creative, with the impette impressed by the radio host's creativity, whilst Al appreciated her simple ways and efficiency
  74.
  75. >Blitzo, on the other hand, had little luck with the pony, which kept biting and kicking him, and bucking him off whenever it could
  76. >in the end, he spent more time in the Hotel's infirmary than actually tending to the beast
  77. --
  78. Lol Blitzo ya done goofed.
  79. -
  80. >>"Hasn't she been practically disowned by her father?
  81. Oh god oh fk prompt time
  82. >Anon sits uncomfortably in the family den
  83. >Mother and father are there
  84. >Mother looks distant
  85. >Father is...
  86. >Well, you said the wrong thing to him
  87. "So you're disowning her because she's following her dream?!"
  88. >"It's more complicated than that and you know it Anon!"
  89. >Anon takes a step back and sighs
  90. "You're more like grandfather than I th-"
  91. >Anons sentence was cut off by his fathers hand
  92. >Anon can feel a black eye forming and can feel some blood dribble out of his nose
  93. >Lucifer's hand is still outstretched, his demonic features at full display
  94. >Lilith looks at the display in mute horror
  95. >His angry expression fades as he realizes what he did
  96. >"Anon I'm"
  97. >Anon doesn't stay in the room, instead choosing to leave the den via the window
  98. >He doesn't care how far away he has to fly
  99. >Just as long as he isn't here
  100. --
  101. ....and that's why D Anon ended up fking off to purgatory and wasn't there to protect Lilith
  102. --
  103. >Charlie hears another knock on the hotels door
  104. >Alastor and his newly introduced minions look at the door in mild interest
  105. >Charlie opens the door hesitantly
  106. >It's her brother, with a black eye and a bloody nose
  107. >"Hey..."
  108. --
  109. How did Prince Anon react when first meeting Charlie's patrons?
  110.
  111. Cont.
  112. -
  113. >Charlie stood stunned, her mind racing as she took in the sight
  114. "Can I come in?"
  115. >she immediately stepped aside, allowing Anon to enter - and the room froze as he did
  116. >Vaggie, though appearing annoyed for a split second, went through a drastic change upon seeing the young man's battered face
  117. >she darted down a hallway, and soon returned with an old, bulky first-aid kit
  118. >while she was gone, Anon walked into the hall, barely even glancing at the sinners around him
  119. >spotting a bar, he quickly slipped onto one of the stools
  120. >without a word, Husk poured him something - something strong, by the smell of it
  121. >he downed it in one gulp, earning Angel's appreciative whistling, as his sister sat down beside him, and the turned towards him
  122. >"Anon... What happened?"
  123. >"Who is this twink?" the spider asked from the returning Vaggie
  124. >Alastor, who stood close by, listened carefully as well
  125. >the Salvadoran made no sharp remark, carrying an expression of subdued concern
  126. >"Charlie's brother." she replied "The Crown Prince."
  127. >Angel raised an eyebrow
  128. >"...Why is he messed up like that, then?"
  129. >"We're about to find out." Vaggie replied, carrying the medkit over to the bar
  130. >once there, she began to clean away the blood from Anon's face, tending to his black eye with notable practice
  131. >the man sighed
  132. "Dad finalized the disownment."
  133. >Charlie gasped, Vaggie gave a short sigh, cursing under her breath
  134. >Husk's eyes widened, and, murmuring to himself, took a swig from the bottle still in his paw
  135. >likewise shocked, a look of sympathy enveloped Angel's face, only to turn into a scowl as he noticed Al's sinister grin
  136. "Told him he's just like grandad."
  137. >Anon went on
  138. "He didn't like that."
  139. >this elicited even stronger reactions, including from the Radio demon, who's grin suddenly died down to a startled little smile
  140. >"So... Did he...?" Charlie began, but her brother shook his head
  141. "I don't give a fk if he did. He did it right in front of mom, so he can deal with THAT."
  142. -
  143. Hoo boy don't let the media hear about this sht
  144. -
  145. >Paimon sitting in his living room watching the news
  146. >He's holding a glass of bourbon, taking sips every so often
  147. >"This just in! King of Hell Lucifer officially disowned his own daughter! And to make this story even juicier, his son was caught flying out of Pandemonium with a black eye! Trouble in the royal family? I think yes! More at ten you fks!"
  148. >Paimons small smile never leaves his face
  149. >And then his grip crushes the glass
