- Pokemon Fire Red / Leaf Green
- Platform: GBA
- Released (d.m.y):
- 29.01.2004 (J)
- 07.09.2004 (NA)
- 01.10.2004 (EU)
- Based on: European version [AGB-BPGP-EUR] (LG) / [AGB-BPRP-EUR] (FR)
- - I recommend playing the game on a GameCube using a Game Boy Player.
- The input lag has no significant impact in a game like this.
- - If you need Master Balls, replaying FRLG is the best way to get them.
- - You can carry up to 42 different items in your Bag and store up to 30
- different items on your PC.
- - When you get a game over, you lose an amount of money that's affected
- by the number of Badges you have and the level of your highest level
- Pokemon.
- - There's no Macho Brace in FRLG (unless you transfer one), which makes
- EP training very slow.
- - There are no Contests, and Ribbons are hidden (ie. even if you have them,
- you can't check them). Incidentally, the only Ribbon you can obtain here
- is the one from beating the league.
- - You can't trade with Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald until after you've
- beaten the game and completed some of the post-game events (ie. the
- seven islands). You also can't trade in any post-Nat Pokemon until
- you've obtained the NatDex.
- - Synchronize does *not* affect Nature in FRLG.
- - The new evolutions introduced in Generation 2 won't occur until you've
- obtained the NatDex.
- - There are a bunch of Move Tutors in FRLG who can teach a certain move
- to a Pokemon. They can only do it once and, indeed, serve to replace
- Gen 1 TMs that no longer exist.
- - You can only buy two of the special Poke Balls in FRLG and only at the
- very end.
- - You can't grow berries in FRLG (there's no RTC). Aside from using
- Pickup, you can also obtain an endless number of random berries at the
- Berry Forest, where berries have a chance of respawning every 1500 steps.
- - If you want Legendaries from the GBA games with good stats, it's now
- easier to get them from HGSS instead, as you can use Synchronize there
- (but not on Runners).

- just keep retrying until it doesn't kill it on the first turn. You
- could also equip the Quick Claw. Afterwards, drain its Recover, then
