"Lately I have had issues with this eye, I keep seeing things that are not there.. Images of past foes, things I have had to see.... I keep seeing them over and over again at the most random times. From what I can guess a lot of my unused mana is converging into my eye and mixing with my circuits that still remain making me see all of this. I want you to remove the eye and etch runes into it in a sense to help me control these... Nightmares I guess you could say."

[10:40] Kira would lean forward over the table to cup Niclous' head by his cheeks and then stare into the right eye, examining the workings and imagining the reverse-engineering of it. She tilted his head a few times to look at them from different angles, Artificing work and Medicine side-by-side is a very hard thing to do,

"I see... I have one myself- those afflictions I mean- so I believe I know exactly what you mean by that. If only I had perfected my Plasma-Magic theory, I could perhaps figure out how to properly do more than just use the appropriate runes for your new eye."

She would tap the eye once, very gently in order to test his reaction,

"There's more to this than simply etching and stacking runes, after all. But, I believe I could still try this. Velma, do you know some illusion magic? If you know basic gravity magic, I think you could still use the basic metaphyiscs. I need you to uh... Anasthesize him."

[10:50] With the procedure more or less having been agreed upon Nic would start to remove his shirt and armor to make it easier for the operation to take place and he could lay down flat. As he removed his blue steel chest plate the torso of the man was shown. The year's of training and battle's evident as the tone of his body. Highly compact muscles adorned his small frame each part of his body littered with scar's from various battles and fights. Numerous one's seen starting from his waist line and moving up his chest as if he was nearly cut in half.

A noticeable discoloration of the skin of his upper torso and midsection among his pale complexion. All in all the boy that Kira had once come to know was no more having grown up in her time away. "Don't get to worked up alright... Still alive after all."

He said after a short pause and taking a seat back in the stool waiting for her instructions.

[11:12] Kira would lean over the table once more and examined his body, making sure that there isn't any other injury that's going to jeopardize their current procedure. Permanent injuries are a concern, but his scars are just... tolerable for the Kitsune, she could only sigh and watch as such a thing had already happened, and she can't do anything about it. Kira would take an eye-scooper, ready to take the orb out of his eye...

"Alright Velma. So... What I need you to do is just, mess with his head a bit. A part of it, even. So..." She would grab onto the drakanite's hand and then pressed it over to behind Niclous. Where the spinal cord and the skull is connected, "It will be easier when you make contact. You will need to flow your metaphysical mana into this part of his brain to make him feel numb."

"BUT! Be careful... If you mess up, he could die." She would stare at Velma with fear, before she would prepare with the scooper once more, "Do it now."

[11:14] The girl's hand was lead to behind his head at the base of his neck a spot thick with the ookami's fur. The feeling of it was soft to the touch and held a warmth to it with it's silky texture.

[11:21] Velma would tense up at the mentioning of her possibly killing him, that surely isn't her intention so she won't let that happen.. right?

Well only one way to find out. As Velma tries her best to use the little bit of Illusion magic she has at her disposal to numb whatever pain he may feel, she would also use some of her Graviturgy to pin him and Velma herself in the spot they are both it, as to not let Niclous move accidentally. "I... I really hope this goes well… i never ever done anything like this."

The Drakanite girl even adds some Time Magic alongside the Gravity applied to the hopefully now numbed Niclous, warping both perceptions of time for the duration of Kira's surgery.

[11:25] Nic would lean back a bit to let the girl not have to strain herself to much. "Is this alright?"

He asked hoping the position was not to uncomfortable for her. With the magic starting to take effect the usual bit of pain that he felt behind his eye would begin to fade. "Also, don't be so nervous.. You will do just fine Velma I trust ya."

The man hoping his words would give the girl a bit of confidence as he felt the tension in her movements as she had placed her hand onto him.

[11:28] Her Tension may lessen a bit, but all of her 3 schools of Magic are still in use, she is surely still a little bit worried even whit his encouraging words.

[11:31] Even while under the influence of the magic's the man still tried to reassure the girl of her efforts. He knew having to have to do something like this with no real instruction was nerve racking but things like this were a common thing in the rangers life. Though not trying to compare the girl to him he would think long on the matter or what felt like it to him, his perception of time being heavily altered by the efforts of Velma as Kira would continue to prep for the surgery.

"We still have to play together don't we?"

He said after what felt like an eternity of silence hoping to find a conversation piece to help ease her mind some.

No problem with what happened, you were having fun sorry I could not join ya due to my ear's being messed up. As for meeting up with ya I will have to pass I am about to be put under for surgery for my eye in my apartment. [11:43] Kira would hold onto Niclous' head, and sensing that Velma had managed to use her magic just as she had instructed, she would finally scooped out the eye, inserting one edge of the curved item in and then levered the orb out. She eventually has the item in hand, starting to look at it from many more different angles to examine the workings.

Eventually, she would carefully engrave runes on the item, without causing any damages to it. Doing some physics-related and property stuff to it, such as making the refraction and reflection capability better for the eye, allowing it to absorb light better as well as making it so the said light would intensify a bit so the rapid eye movements would lessen from being caused by the mana circuits' reaction.

As was said, she's not a spiritual expert, but she sure as hell a physics expert.

Eventually, she would place the eye back in. Her index finger light up blue with a lazer- the type used in laser surgeries- and she would mend the flesh and mana circuits together with the eye once more,

"Done." She would reach up to Velma to pet her, "Good work, Velma... I know you could do it. Even though you haven't done it, I think you could work well as a medic." She would also pet Niclous, trying to help him get up,

"You should be dreaming and hallucinating significantly lot less now, but chances are you may still as it was caused by your mana circuits. So unless I do the same for your good eye- which I won't until I learn better about mana circuit procedure with my magic- you should be fine."

"..." Kira placed a hand over her mouth, "Also, I lied... You won't actually kill him if you mess up. Sure, the spinal cord connects the brain and the rest of the body, but... It will take more than gentle metaphysical mana to put him out that way."

[11:47] Velma's skin is pure Snow white, having looked away during the entire Spoon full of Eye scene... oh boy.

But not only that happends, Kira also lied to her, so Velma is both relieved but also quiet angry with Kira for having played her like a fiddle.

"D-Don'T you ever do that again... that was a scary thought and all. What if i ended up squeezing is Brain with Gravity like a overripe Apple... oh dear..."

[11:51] Being leaned back for the actual surgery Nic was still awake for the procedure. All in all by the third time around he thought he would be more use to someone tending to the socket of his eye. As the vision of his right eye faded into black he would reach down to the stool he was sitting on and claw into it. A faint tremble being shown by the mighty wolf, as he watched Kira work and then comment on Velma's effort's a simple nod was given in agreement.

Not feeling much like talking now after receiving the letter he would sit there in silence the alteration of his mind letting him be left alone with his thoughts. His attention catching the last bit of Velma and Kira's conversation about the chances of him dying. "Would not be the worst thing that has happened to me."

He said giving a light shrug to them both.


With his eye being placed back into his socket once more he felt the circuits of his mana begin to be connected once more one by one. The once overflowing pool of mana that had come to rest in the eye now having something to help direct it. The man seeing a bit of irony now in this whole gimmick as he looked at himself in the mirror. Seeing the same eye that he once saw behind his master's mask many year's ago looking back at him. Though slightly different in nature the red orb now shined brightly with a deep blue center it almost looking black. Small microscopic runes etched throughout his eye to help him channel the mana to not let it feed off the raw demonic energy that lay inside of him still.

"Aww... Sorry. I was just joking with you a little, it's not bad to have some fun, no?" She whined in a very comedic manner, despite the serious surgery they're having. But still, she did that for a reason after all,

"Besides, you need the experience, Velma. I know what you've went through before back at Barsburg, but... This is a saying I make up but, 'The Higher the Heaven, the Deeper the Hell.'"

She would pet and then looked seriously at both the Drakanite and Niclous, "Sorry too. But I hope that your eye would work better now. That said, make sure you both keep that in mind. It is important to get power for your survival and goals, but it is going to be a dangerous life too. Your climb will certainly be a fun one, but be prepared for how cold the peak or space or how hot the stars could be."
