The Brightest Star in the Sky

I looked at the brightest star in the sky
It was something I wanted to be one day
The brightest star in the sky
No matter what they told me...

I knew it would take a lot to get there though
Nobody supported me, not even once
I got stuck taking care of my own siblings
Just as if I were their parents myself

And yet, here we are today
I still look at the brightest star in the sky
Part of me still has ambitions and goals
I'd like to see them through one day

Maybe I'll never what I truly desire
But I'll at least try to find contentness.
