Argument was these 4 overlapping points

1. EU doesnt control anything but EU migration. non-EU immigration is the issue, not Polish plumbers (truthfully)

2. Britain's establishment let London become majority non-white, their own backyard, and looked the other on Grooming Gangs. A vote for Brexit is hardly going to make them correct course

3. Many Brexiteers admit they see the EU as an obstacle to a 'more global Britain' (like Daniel Hannen), really they just didnt get their way against the Germans in the EU

4. Brexit may be a waste of nationalistic vigor, directed at a foreign elite rather than the domestic one.
