The boy stepped off, drifting down gently to the ground slow as a feather. "I see you've... gone above and beyond the original plan, Kat" he said, his comforting voice sounding even more grateful and kind than usual. "Before we continue do you need help holding,, well, that?" he motioned lightly to the unconscious scientist
21:37	Reverb	"That was what I intended to ask. The man seems to have the ability for force these... feelings through you, probably as a last resort."
21:38	Reverb	"Lust, wrath, greed and gluttony and pride... all at once, completely overloading you. However, given your nature... I have no doubt that won't affect you."
21:42	Amos	"I was trained to rebuke such thoughts, I will keep this one contained and attempt to get him to see the light." Ronald took Blasphemy out of her hands and into his, feeling no strain from the weight. "And this will accomplish our goal to distract attention quite nicely, from what I can tell this could well be one of their higher ups"
21:42	Amos	The sun was beginning to set, soon the night would be upon them.
21:43		Reverb can already feel that rush as the night approaches. She chuckles, running a hand through her hair and tracing the sunset. "Alright, what's the next part of the plan?"
16:53	RoRo	"They'll be searching for us more than ever with this. We may have bought us enough time for the coming storm to get here and remove this blighted fort" he turned, the faint outline of the holy wings surrounded them. "The initial search will be the worst of it, we need to go back into hiding for the night"
16:54	RoRo	"When the lieutenant awakens I'll be sure to get what information I can from him"
16:56	Reverb	"Alright. I... I'll keep moving, to be totally honest. At night I have the advantage."
16:57	Reverb	Reverb looked out into the desert expanse, sighing. She felt around her bag, confirming she held all of the vials for the higher-ups. Yup, all five. Now she was thinking of how to take down Wrath. It was going to be as soon as possible, and she wasn't going to let someone take that from her.
17:02	RoRo	"Then I wish the best of luck to you, Kat" Ronald said then did something... strange. Stepping forward, using two fingers, he tapped her head, her chest, her left shoulder, then her right one, then tapped right above her heart to create a cross like shape. Reverb could feel a tiny sting for a moment but afterward she felt... rejuvenated.
17:02	RoRo	It felt like the wounds and the scars and tire of battle melted away in an instant and her body was at its physical peak.
17:03	RoRo	"Be safe out there, alright? It is your destiny to do this, the world and the heavens depends upon it"
17:04	Reverb	"Well, when you put it that way..."
17:12	Reverb	Reverb chuckled, forming a dagger and juggling it around in one hand. "Since I had that same plan all throughout the day, I suppose we might as well put some meaning to it, right?" she chuckled.
17:16	RoRo	"If it was not meant to be that blessing would have killed you for your condition, Katsumi" that altar boy is both exceptionally amiable and exceptionally confident in his words. "There's always been meaning there" he breaks his seriousness with a smile
17:17	Reverb	Reverb thinks for a second. God damn, she forgot all about the holy things weakness. She slapped her forehead, berating herself. "Well, if fate is on my side, who am I to squander that?"
17:19	RoRo	"Precisely, I had no doubt before that you would succeed, but your continued survival in my wake confirmed it"
17:20	RoRo	"You are taking the right path, and while I am no prophet I can assume that your friends and this world will be saved because of it"
17:21	RoRo	"Don't be cocky, though. Pride is the deadliest of all sins and I would hate to see you fall to it. You mean more than that"
17:22	RoRo	The angel's barely visible form appeared behind him, its wings surrounding the boy and the scientist on his shoulder
17:23	RoRo	"Find me in the morning to rest. When you left I managed to get one of the ovens working and cooked some. It would be a shame if you didn't try it"
17:30	Reverb	Reverb perked up at the mention of food. God she could do with some right now. But there was no time to rest, especially now when the proverbial iron was hot. "Tell me, what kind of cuisine. I want to get my appetite prepared."
17:33	RoRo	"Well, the Holy See is very... luxurious with its rations, so I was already able to prepare and make a pizza with a recipe only found in my hometown. I have a few other fresh ingredients and my friend has a habit of finding things nearby, so I don't doubt I could prepare some meat as well"
17:34	Reverb	"Hmm, man, that's instantly set in my hunger pangs. Alright, now I'm set to get moving." Reverb chuckled, walking up to the edge of the tower.
17:36	RoRo	"Then, arrivederci. I'll make sure that there's more than enough to sate your... unnatural hunger when you get back. Godspeed, Katsumi" Ronald said before he and Blasphemy vanished in a stream of light
17:41	Reverb	Reverb chuckled, caressing the side of her blade. As the night drew closer, that familiar feeling followed it. It was like blood rushing at twice the speed, her muscles tensing and releasing 100s of times in just a second, her mind and vision and hearing all sharpening beyond levels she'd ever known. She couldn't deny the rush thrilled her, and combined...
17:42	Reverb	...with the rush of adrenaline, it sent her mind reeling something fierce. So she took a step forward, and plunged from the edge of the tower.
17:44	RoRo	And just as she did, the sun finally had disappeared and the night took over the landscape.
17:49	Reverb	Reverb opened her eyes wide, the pink tint glazing them over, ruby-red flooding her normally purple irises. She spun in mid-air, cackling wildly and getting closer to the main building. She kicked off of the wall gracefully, curling herself up into a ball to speed up her descent, ready to spring into a run the second she touches ground.
17:52	RoRo	The landscape was open and free to her, but she had one last destination of the three she had marked. A small local air base from where jets and helicopters were deployed from. It was no wonder why they'd be after something like that.
17:55	RoRo	Defending it would no doubt further her notoriety among the symbiotes as well as allow the local people more chance to prepare themselves. With Blasphemy's disappearance one could imagine they'd be working even harder, but just what they have in store will have to be seen when she reaches it.
17:56	Reverb	Reverb knew her target, and she was not going to let a power rush make her forget it. She instantly ran in the direction of the air base, holding her swords. Now with this power, she could no doubt clear these bastards with ease.
18:00	RoRo	Off in the distance she could already see traces of the air base, rather small and contained with a fortified wall around it from which guards stood. It looked pretty strong, but to the symbiotes it was clear it would be torn like tissue paper. There was no sign of the beasts yet. If that was a good or bad thing was to be decided
18:01	Reverb	Reverb is quick to take that as bad. If they're not outright attacking, they're planning.
18:02	RoRo	She could definitely feel their presence in the area with those enhanced senses and the continuing radio interference. The clouds in the sky had become more compact and overcast, it looked as if it was going to rain soon in the desert for the first time in a while.

23:53   Reverb  Reverb chuckles. She always did like her odds being impossible. Made them more fun to overcome. With the vampiric power pulsing through her, her control over her crystal was close to limitless. The urchins from before roll right into the base, flattening and latching to Reverb like armor. She turned her twin blades into a heft Zweihander, heaving it over...
23:53   Reverb  ...her shoulder with surprising ease. "Alright, you ugly fuckers. Who's first."
23:55   RoRo    They didn't seem to believe in the slightest what first meant, instead all the ones closest to her leaped in unison from all sides to dig their sharp claws into that armor as those behind them rushed forward to continue mobbing her
23:59   Reverb  Reverb cackled; even if her armor wasn't the strongest, it could handle their assault for a good while. She swung the mighty blade in wide arcs, splitting demons in two with ridiculous ease, leaving a trail of dead. The bloodlust that she found almost ubiquitous with battle was starting to override her other senses, her focus on just clearing our hordes...
23:59   Reverb  with simple swings of her sword. "Keep going, maybe one of you will get lucky!"
19:04	Doppler	They were getting slaughtered by the dozens, it seemed to be completely mindless. At least to her. The sands beneath her feet had another set of surprises lying in wait. It wasn't until the ground itself detonated in a big explosive crash that the suicide bugs made themselves known

19:11	Reverb	Reverb is sent into the air by the explosives, cursing loudly in Japanese. "Alright, I am /so/ done with you all!" she shouted, falling to the ground with a violent thud, grunting and instantly running into the hordes. Now, she focused a powerful wave in every step, the equivalent of the high-pitched noise hipsters in Starbucks seem to make.
19:15	Doppler	They seem to have more in mind than just that. They won't pull any stop to try to take Reverb down it seems. The wave in the sand rustles up several of the underlying creatures hiding under the surface, now much more visible and running towards her.
19:16	Doppler	With one more trick they have in mind. One of them leaps from behind as she slashes, its appendages becoming fleshy tentacles to bind and hold her in place as the suicide bugs draw closer and closer and the hordes step back to give the explosives space
19:25	Reverb	Reverb grinned, starting to strain against the fleshy tentacles, her armor expanding and contracting rapidly, going from a smooth exterior to a much more jagged one. "Absolute control, bitches! At night you stand no chance!" she cackled, pointing her sword forward. It began to extend suddenly, and into multiple parts, one for every bug she saw. With all...
19:25	Reverb	...her strength and stamina, she could extend for a very long distance, and without needing to make more to compensate.
19:29	Doppler	Each of the bugs did their best to avoid the sword that came for them, a few getting skewered immediately while others using the extended blade as a direct way to get to her. They scurried ahead with a murderous intent in them
19:29	Doppler	It seems that the attention to the base has been lost, getting rid of her apparently having been made forefront in the programming of the Babylonians.
19:31	Reverb	Reverb chuckled, putting on a valley girl accent, "Oh my gawsh! It feels /so/ awesome being swarmed by a crowd! I'm like, like, Madonna or something!" she joked, letting her blade retract. She let the armor fall... backwards, right into the creature holding her back. She looked at the approaching suicide bugs, and swung her sword, but this time, the blade...
19:32	Reverb	...flew right off, spinning like a boomerang through the approaching monsters.
19:35	Doppler	The blade cleaved directly through them and into the crowd behind it, making a curving movement through the horde of monsters and started coming back to her. Just like a boomerang! (Boomer watches from the heavens). The soldiers thought it that she was finally open to attack, trying to slash at her with their long claws while not noticing the boomerang coming
19:39	Reverb	Reverb grinned, readying the hilt of her blade and letting the blade slide right back in, real cool-like. She'd have said something cool but she totally decided to let the action speak for itself, uhuh. She chuckled, splitting her sword down the middle and reshaping them into a pair of katanas. 19:39	Reverb	...remnants of the horde, the blades splitting them in two. As expected of the superior Nippon crystal, folded one-thousand times over.
19:41	Doppler	The filthy gaijin symbiotes are felled at last, a pile of dead surrounding her and the base only lightly damaged from the attack.
19:41	Doppler	She can still feel some... interference though. And a smell in the air. There was something there and it was big.
19:43	Reverb	Reverb chuckled. This fight was pretty easy anyhow. She wanted a real challenge. She jumped up onto a conveniently placed flagpole, standing in that cliche ninja pose, watching her surroundings. Her headphones were tuned in and focusing, hearing specifically for where this creature was.
19:45	Doppler	She finally got a reading. The creature was... above. In the heavy rain and clouds it was impossible to see what lie in the higher reaches of the sky, but she could tell whatever it was it was big and it was descending /fast/.
19:47	Reverb	Reverb smirked. Now this, /this/ was fun. She watched the skies, asking briefly for the gods to smile down on her this time, and give her a real show. With twin swords ready, she simply shouted for the beast to reveal itself, and that it better make a big entrance too.
19:49	Doppler	The entrance was certainly big. A single wing nearly the size of the airbase itself broke through the clouds, thick and featherless almost like the flipper of some great whale. Then from the clouds the beast made itself visible. A creature that would be able to crush the 88 foot tall Habeus hovered above them all, made of the same symbiotic flesh...
19:51	Doppler	...as the soldiers. It resembled some kind of shark or whale, looking like it was far too massive and girthy to even fly. But it did though. It swooped down over the airbase and sent down a gust that tore the walls apart and nearly Reverb as well.

19:52	Reverb	Reverb stood her ground, laughing to herself. The gods have done something else entirely. They've /sent/ a god down to fight her. Now or never, she leapt into the sky, extending her sword like a grappling hook into the creature's flesh.
19:55	Doppler	She managed to get the hook to stick into the hide of the whale demon as it flew by, instantly pulling her along at high speeds as it flew upwards to prepare another sweep to send winds that rivaled the blast of a nuclear explosion down upon the base
19:56	Doppler	It opened its titanic maw and let out a low grumble, so loud that it could have been heard for miles out and rumbled the very earth
19:58	Doppler	It let a single beat of its wings and it started to ascend back into the clouds, Reverb being pulled along upwards
20:02	Reverb	Reverb began to climb up the chain, any sense of danger or risk replaced with pure adrenaline simply telling her to climb and fight and kill this beast. Something like this only comes once in a while, and she was going to take this opportunity and fell the beast that flew before her. Even the rough sudden jerks of the chain weren't sending her flying, as...
20:02	Reverb	...she progressed closer to the beast's hide. She'd deal with the matter of moving around in time, the flesh seemed hard and calloused enough to just scale.
20:05	Doppler	The red whale finally broke above the clouds high into the atmosphere, Reverb able to see the storm below her and the clear moonlit night that was above her. It was almost majestic and breathtaking if the mighty monster wasn't set to destroy entire cities.
20:06	Doppler	It didn't even notice her in the slightest, the crystal embedded in it probably not even registering any kind of sensation in it
20:14	Reverb	Reverb could see no reaction, taking that as a go-ahead to play a little rougher. She climbed faster, now up close and personal with the hide of this creature. Making another sword in her hand, she stabbed it into the creature, and began moving around, using her blades to keep herself steady. Now, all she needs to do is find a way inside. Even the hardest...
20:14	Reverb	creature was weak within.
20:17	DMoppler	The monster made small deviations in its flight, instead of coming back down it began to spin and loop through the air almost playfully like a seal at the zoo. It was a one of a kind symbiote, it seemed. It made low grumbles that imitated laughter as it danced through the atmosphere, perhaps having a mind of its own to some extent with its size.
20:19	DMoppler	From what she could tell there wasn't many openings to the creature. It had closed slits that eyes no doubt lay under and a giant mouth that only opened to make its booming song echo to the moon above. She could also remember holes along what would be the spine that steam emanated from
20:20	Reverb	Reverb smirked, that was just the opening she needed. She made her way higher, to the spine of the creature. All she needed to do was time it all right, and she could probably dodge all of the steam and the inevitable third-degree burns that came with that.
20:22	DMoppler	All seemed easy enough, well except for the massive distance that she had to climb from the sheer width of the grand red whale. She did notice something though. As she got further up there seemed to be little bumps coming from out of its skin, thin membrane which she could see dormant creatures living inside of. A few looked like they were developing
20:23	DMoppler	The one nearest to her started to rattle and glow lightly the closer she got to it, calming down when she left its proximity

20:36	Reverb	Reverb moved up higher, trying to maintain focus. Kill the beast, kill the creatures it's making. She chuckled, admittedly not having this much fun when other people are involved. She regained her composure and simply kept on moving, higher and higher.
20:41	DMoppler	After quite some time she finally makes it to the spine of the grand whale. Along it there were 8 pairs of holes that were spaced out from the top of its head to the start of its tail. Each was 10 meters across and bellowed scorching hot steam from them as the flying monster sailed through the night.
20:42	DMoppler	They stopped at short intervals then began again a minute or so later
20:44	Reverb	"Crap..." Reverb grumbled, holding her blades close. That short interval, only around a minute, was her best chance of getting in. Alright, she needed to think... or, she could just take the plunge. Her crystal could handle high enough temperatures, maybe it could withstand the steam, too. She stepped forward, adding an elegant spinning motion to her blades..
20:44	Reverb	...as they formed a shield for herself, something to divert the steam in case she was off by a second or so. The second she saw the steam stop flowing, she jumped right inside.
20:49	DMoppler	She was able to make it in just in the nick of time, falling into a fleshy tunnel that eventually dropped into a massive open area. By massive we mean you could fit entire neighborhoods inside of it. The whale was largely hollow it seemed, an open area where massive glowing organs connected together with organic tubing that also connected into the internal...
20:50	DMoppler	...walls of the hive creature. There was also a massive sack like organ on the top of it that the steam all seemed to come from, possibly used to help it float and power it high up into the air despite its size. Reverb could see production organs where "eggs" of symbiotes were created and pumped into the whale's skin to develop and deploy
20:51	DMoppler	It also seemed to have a massive beating heart and a brain as well, although very unorthodox looking and similarly connected in the web of "wires" that to Reverb were like walkways to climb across like branches
20:52	DMoppler	Clara's eye machine occasionally peeked out of Reverb's pocket desperately taking in all the data it could.
20:54	Reverb	Reverb saw all of that, but one simple switch clicked in her mind. It is what we might call the "GO FUCKING WILD" switch, and once that kicked in, Reverb was more or less instantly focused on HUGE GUTS! RIP AND TEAR! She ran right down the "wires" to the sack-like organ that produced the steam, as she ran right past it, she left spheres of crystal around...
20:54	Reverb	...her weight rolling back and forth, shooting their spines into this organ repeatedly. She instead focused on getting to the heart and brain of this creature, holding at least three swords.
20:58	DMoppler	The whale churned and let out a low groan from the sack like organ, rattling everything fiercely. As she got closer she could tell she was not alone in here and it wouldn't be as easy as she thought. A unique variety of giants appeared, having extremely long spider legs that allowed them to delicately maneuver around the organs
20:59	DMoppler	They let out shrill shrieks and started hopping through the wires to follow Reverb, wanting to keep the hive safe
21:00	Reverb	Reverb always did prefer a challenge. She kept the spheres rolling around; these ones weren't like the urchins, those were close-range ones that cleared out hordes, these were snipers, that moved and attacked with deadly precision, their reach far greater than most other "urchins" she made. She kept moving, focusing her...
21:01	Reverb	...attention on the heart and brain, while the spheres attacked the steam-sack, and the productive organs.
21:02	DMoppler	The spider demons showed up in greater numbers as they chased her until they started appearing ahead of her, jumping in the way and attempting to crush her between its giant claws. The whale was now in a kind of distress as its organs were attacked, its flight faltering somewhat
21:07	Reverb	Reverb chuckled, again noticing the obsession with killing her first and foremost, by and large letting the spheres do their thing. She danced and dodged around the claws, even using some makeshift crystal hooks to trip up these giants. "Come on, maybe you'll get lucky!" she shouted out, coaxing the creatures to follow her.
21:09	DMoppler	They were unfortunately not the smart breed of symbiote. They followed her and completely forgot about the spheres that picked them off and damaged organs while they gave chase. Soon the heart itself came into sight, the large pumping mass of flesh that looked the size of a mansion
21:11	Reverb	Reverb decided to have some more fun at these creatures' expense, jumping up and scaling the pulsing mass of flesh that the whale called a heart. "Hey, over here! Come get me!" she shouted out, punching the massive heart for emphasis.
21:12	DMoppler	Even the slightest touch to the heart made the monster cry out in surprise and pain, obviously extremely sensitive. The spider demons climbed up after her, their touch not as offensive to the hive but certainly not helping
21:13	DMoppler	Several of the production organs have already been split open and ruptured as the thick sack that kept them all flying started showing signs of damage
21:14	Reverb	As the spheres continued their assault uninterrupted, Reverb quickly moved around the heart, the throbbing veins that ran all around it making for good holds. She coaxed the beasts to attack her, giving the heart another solid punch, timing it just right so that it nearly slipped out of rhythm.
21:17	DMoppler	The clawed spiders started to lunge after her, desperately trying to tear her apart before any more damage could be done. With her nimble movements, though, they miss. Instead they end up cutting directly into the heart itself and unleashing a spray of blood to send the offenders back. The cry of the whale was deafening to say the least
21:17	DMoppler	Its entire body rumbled and shook violently, spinning and bucking through the air as gravity seemed to switch every other moment inside the massive thing
21:19	Reverb	Reverb held on tight, still calling out any beast still standing to attack her, quickly moving toward the brain, which seemed fairly closeby, much like most of the organs in this creature. She figured at the least she would give this creature a quick death.
21:23	DMoppler	The brain was massive but slightly smaller than the heart, looking far more complex and alien than that of a natural brain. Even going near it called every single one of the spiders out from their hiding. There was seemingly thousands of them crawling from the back of the whale towards Reverb slowly, so she didn't have much time
21:25	Reverb	Reverb sighed, approaching the top of the brain, a sword in hand. She raised her blade, muttering a single sentence, "神はあなた、惨めな獣に依存慈悲深いかもしれません。" She jumped down, digging her blade in and sliding down the side of the brain, her sword cleaving through the flesh with ease.
21:28	DMoppler	And just like that she severed the brain of the red whale... not before something hit her. A tendril from the brain itself latched onto the side of her head and once she had already finished the killing cleave on the titanic symbiote she felt a sudden surge go through her mind...
21:30	DMoppler	It was memories. Around 6 months worth of them belonging to the whale starting from incubating deep within the laboratory of Babylon to being fully grown and flying through the sky. She could remember the faces of several people, Blasphemy and Doppler included, who's will was transmitted to it...
21:31	DMoppler	Gleeful memories of dancing in what seemed to be space just above the earth and flying above the oceans. It seemed to perceive far more colors than humans could, giving beautiful visuals that she couldn't even hope to explain because nobody could comprehend them.
21:32	DMoppler	It was a strange experience, but it seemed like the mighty beast had some free will to it and wanted that to live on somewhere. Reverb couldn't make out most of it, but she felt it might come in handy in the future by some intuition
21:33	DMoppler	It was somewhat calming and humbling, it focused on the beauty of the world itself from a view only it could achieve. With that fresh in her mind the whale finally died, its organs entirely failing as it stopped flying all together
21:37	Reverb	Reverb stayed silent, the bloodlust, the raw, feral fury... all of it gone. She kept her grip on the network that up till now had kept the creature alive. Was it... yeah, it was guilt in her mind right now. The soldiers, the fleshy demons that are usually sent her way... they're just autonomous monsters with no /concept/ of will. But this one... this one...
21:37	Reverb	...was alive, and had a will taken from it. It stung, to think that she had just killed it. That was her only thought as it all came tumbling down around her.
21:42	DMoppler	There was some sense of understanding that was left in the last memory of the whale. Almost a sort of rival's respect, she had won against odds even it would have thought impossible. It went into death accepting its fate, and made sure to leave its gift to her before it passed. The symbiotes crawling to her simply stopped as the massive body plummeted...
21:43	DMoppler	through the atmosphere. It wouldn't be long before it crashed into the barren desert, leaving a massive indent into the earth as its body began to collapse in on itself in a ruin.
21:48	DMoppler	By the time it finally made impact it was nearly dawn. The once proud creature bred by Babylon with a true soul that even its masters couldn't control became a monument on the Iraqi landscape, finally given its rest.
21:55	Reverb	Reverb crawled out the same way she came in, looking upon the landscape from the hulking beast's body. She had bested the impossible beast, a king of the sky. There was pride, no doubt, to win against such a thing was impressive for just one person. But the guilt of having to kill the creature in the first place...
21:56	Reverb	...was replaced with an overwhelming anger at the red creature, the one responsible for all of this. The one that possessed Doppler, the one that took control of this creature, the one attacking the world RIGHT NOW.
21:56	Reverb	She had promised to herself that as Skyler's close friend, it was his business to sort him out, but that didn't mean she wouldn't take her anger out on /something/.
22:01	DMoppler	The sun finally began to rise in the sky, a brand new day ahead of her as the symbiotes no doubt searched for her and her friends continued to fight on across the globe to push back the might of Hubris.
22:02	DMoppler	There was at least some comfort in that fate seems to be on her side and Ronald has a massive meal prepared for her after what has seemed like days without food.
22:04	Reverb	Reverb sighed. She was undeniably incredibly hungry. She let her swords fade into dust, and began to make her way back to the camp. It shouldn't be too far, surely.
