  1. Greetings.
  2.
  3. This is a HELP post for new Nexus users.
  4.
  5.
  6. Lii
  7.
  8. ==================
  9.
  10. First, basic terms.
  11.
  12. Alias is a key or series of keys that will fire off a command when you type it. An example that is already programmed in the game is "kill". If you set a rat as a target and type "kill" you will proceed to attack the rat using the best fighting abilities you have.
  13.
  14. Trigger is something seen on screen that fires off a command or a group of commands. An example of this is "Mezghar pats Lii on the head." That would trigger the command, "frown at Mezghar".
  15.
  16. Now, let's look at the settings.
  17.
  18. On the main screen, look at the lower right hand corner. You will see a gear. Click that. That will lead you to Settings in a new tab on your internet explorer.
  19.
  20. Go to the tab. There is a tab along the upper part that says, "Reflexes". Click on it.
  21.
  22. Along the left hand side you will see a box that says in small print "reflexes". Within that box is a button that says, "ADD". Click on it. It will drop down, "Add A Group" "Add An Alias" "Add A Keybind" "Add A Trigger" "Add A Function" "Add A Script".
  23.
  24. Add a group adds a folder type thing. You can place multiple triggers, aliases, etc within these that you create. This makes the GROUP useful for organizing things.
  25.
  26. "Add An Alias" does just that. It adds an Alias. To the right you will see a pale green border along the top of another window. That window will have Alias text with an empty box to the right of it. This is where you will put your alias. In the lower box that has "actions" you will see an empty box next to it. This is where you can put the command you want the alias to call. An example is, "ho" is in the box next to alias. In the command box it has, "holocaust 10". This will cause a holocaust bomb to go off in 10 seconds when you type "ho".
  27.
  28. "Add A Trigger" will cause a line of text on the screen to cause a chain reaction. This is similar to dominoes. If you tap a domino, that will trigger a chain reaction that will cause other dominos to fall. You will see in the top box on the right hand side something that says, "trigger text". Next to it is an empty box where you will put the trigger text from the screen in. Below that in another box you will see the empty box that says "actions". This is where you will put the actions you want the trigger to call in. An example. "snaps her fingers at you." is in the trigger box. You can have "headslam Lii" as the action. What this will do is cause you to headslam Lii when she snaps her fingers at you.
  29.
  30. I will note that I have found the trigger text to work more efficiently when neither the "Whole Words Only" or "Match Case" boxes are checked. Also the box to the left of them says, "Contains". This is usually useful. The only exceptions are when you are using variables. I will go over that in another post or answer as needed on the clan.
  31.
  32. Now. In the lower box you will see at the bottom of the "actions box" a button that says, "Add Action". This will allow you to do more than one action per trigger. (Important note. Avoid doing too many. This will cause either the lag of the century or for it to not work at all. I suggest no more than six or so actions per trigger.)
  33.
  34. Where you see the "send a command" in the "actions" box, you will notice that when you click it several things appear. The most useful ones are "Wait for". This allows you to use the trigger line from gaining equilibrium and balance to cause your next action in the sequence in the box to wait until the line for gaining equilibrium or balance to go off before your next action happens. This is mainly useful in fighting.
  35.
  36. You can also click the "wait" after you have already clicked "send a command". This allows you to wait any amount of seconds to do an action. This is usually useful when you are trying to fish.
  37.
  38. The other useful one to click is "Highlight". This will highlight the trigger on the screen. When battles can be very fast, this will help you catch what you need to while avoiding the rest.
  39.
  40. Last. When you are finished making a trigger, an alias, etc, click the button at the bottom that says, "Save". Then go to the upper right and click the button that says, "Save Client Settings".
  41.
  42.
  43. =======
  44.
  45. Interesting facts:
  46.
  47. You can type "alias set f hunt" IG to use as a trigger to set off another group of aliases. You copy the text you see when you type it, then after you have used it as a trigger you can send these commands, "alias set x action", then another one for another action, et cetera. This is useful when going from hunting to fighting mode.
