- Path of the Zen Fist
- You have learned to control your rage, wielding it more precisely and effectively. Your focus has become greatly heightened, your mind understands some of the deeper philosophies of the world, and your technique is impeccable.
- Zen Fists
- When you choose this primal path, at 3rd level, you learn the fighting style of monks. While you are not wearing any armor, your unarmed strikes deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage. While you are raging, your unarmed strikes deal increased damage as shown on the table below:
- Barbarian level Unarmed damage
- 3rd 1d6
- 6th 1d8
- 10th 1d10
- 14th 1d12
- Zen State
- Also, at 3rd level, when you would normally enter a rage, you can choose to enter a zen state, instead. While you are in a zen state, you only gain the damage bonus and resistances of raging, but otherwise gain the following benefits:
- * You have advantage on Wisdom checks and saving throws.
- * When you use the Attack action with an unarmed strike on your turn, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
- If a feature would affect your rage, such as Relentless Rage, it also affects your zen state.
- Precise Strike
- Starting at 6th level, you can study your target intensely, and hit it with a single precise blow. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can choose to make one unarmed strike, instead of attacking as many times as you normally could. When you do so, if you hit, you deal an additional 2 dice of damage with the unarmed strike, and if the target is Large or smaller, it is shoved 5 feet away from you.
- Also, your unarmed strikes count as magical for purposes of overcoming damage resistance and immunity.
- Tranquility
- Beginning at 10th level, you can calm others with ease. As an action, you can touch one creature (including yourself), and cast the *calm emotions* spell, affecting only that creature. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is Wisdom.
- Deflect Blows
- At 14th level, you can use your reaction to catch the attacks of your foes when you are hit with a melee attack. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d12 + your Wisdom modifier + your barbarian level.
- If you reduce the damage to 0, you can make one unarmed strike as part of the same reaction.
