  1. Reporting Child Abuse During Shelter in Place
  2.
  3. With the immense pressure this current pandemic places on some of our most vulnerable communities, along with school closures and the loss of this important resource, we are encouraging Santa Clara County residents to be the advocates for youth who may be experiencing trauma in the forms of abuse or neglect. There are actions each one of us can take to reduce the stress and burden on ourselves and parents we know during this time.  Text your friends with children and see how they’re doing.   Check-in on your neighbor to ensure they have what they need; and importantly, if you suspect child abuse or neglect, please contact 1-833-SCC-KIDS that is 1-833-722-5437 . By getting involved one person can positively impact a child’s life forever. We all have a responsibility to support our most vulnerable individuals in our community. For more additional resources for families contact the United Way Bay Area at 2-1-1 or the Bay Area T.A.L.K Line at (415) 441-5437 which provides 24-hour parental support for parents & caregivers (available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese).”  Together we can ensure not only the health of our overall community, but the safety and wellbeing of our children.
