  1. Alexander Workman was born in 21[][] to a small family of factory workers in The Yukon, growing up he felt he didn't want to follow in his family's footsteps, that he had bigger aspirations. With that he studied hard through his secondary year of school and later dropped an application for the Yukon Air Force Academy, having been fortunate enough to receive recommendations from his local Mayor and even a few minor Politicians, his acceptance letter would arrive soon after.
  2.
  3. Workman made strides at the academy and graduated with honors, eagerly accepting a contract with The Yukon Armed Forces to begin training as one of their many pilots. Having graduated from training at the age of 22, Workman found himself stuck amidst a harrowing career, one that helped the young man build quite a reputation for himself. Regularly being sent off deep into Allied hot zones either, strafing hostile zones of control, or touching down amidst a hail of gunfire for a much-needed MEDEVAC. As time wore on the number of dangerous deployments began to take a toll on the man's health, and with a heavy heart Alexander would come to retire from his position in the Yukon Airforce.
  4.
  5. For a time he drifted, a few dull years of his life spent doing odd jobs, until by a miracle of luck he chanced across a Recruitment agent scouring the Yukon for potential fresh blood for a somewhat minor Security company known as Antares Defense Solutions. After a tense series of interviews and a painfully long list of security screenings, he was given an offer to work with them as a member of their own private Airforce division as a Support Pilot. Upon employment he'd be introduced to Ingrid Haas and her team, becoming their primary method of deployment, evacuation, and air support whenever an operation or job went awry. As the years passed, he found himself developing a close bind with the group oddballs, and he would frequently find himself regaling them with the tales of his service to the Yukon Airforce, finally feeling a place of belonging after years of lonesomeness.
  6.
  7. By year four of his contract his loyalty to his friends, and his loyalty to Antares began to clash. The abrupt schism amongst those than ran the ADS, and their rapidly worsening economic situation, led to a controversial buyout from a Chinese Megacorporation known as 'Hanwha'. The buyout caused a divide amongst the many members of the burgeoning Security corporation, with those wanting to stay loyal to the name and its values butting heads with those who accepted their new lives under Hanwha, whilst others simply feared the repercussions of working with a Corporation rumored to be backed by the Chinese government.
  8.
  9. Ingrid, being one of the many who were highly critical of this move by their company approached Workman, attempting to convince him to take her and her team's side in the ensuing turmoil . Workman refused, not trusting her intentions despite their years of friendship, he himself being led to believe that the fear and outrage caused by Hanwha's takeover merely stemmed from nonsensical fear mongering. However, as Hanwha's influence grew, and the amount of ethically and morally questionable decisions were made by their new Corporate leaders, Workman came to believe that Ingrid was right. He could no longer justify working for Hanwha, and what little remained of the original Antares corporation.
  10.
  11. Upon discovering Ingrid and her team had come under heavy fire in an attempt to prevent Hanwha from seizing vital Antares assets, he committed to a path he never could have fathomed. Making use of his clearance, Workman broke into the airfield of his former employers and hijacked an aircraft, closing in on the Team's location their location as quickly as possible, doing his best to tear about the Cleaner teams that were attempting to terminate his friends. With the area eventually cleared, he immediately touched down, collecting what was left of the thoroughly depleted team, preparing them for a lengthy and dangerous evacuation.
  12.
  13. With absolutely no time to stop or refuel, Workman took off with the team and departed for the Japanese occupied territories under Ingrid's guidance, believe it was their best chance to avoid apprehension and violent contract termination. As they were approaching the island's waterside territory, Workman's aircraft suffered a critical engine failure, forcing him to bring them down for a hard landing in hopes of at least saving the others.
  14.
  15. The crash was violent, though most of the team survived the impact with minimal injury, though Workman was not quite as lucky. The impact tore his aircraft apart, severing fuel lines, bursting hydraulic systems, rapidly turning the cockpit into a crumpled burning inferno. Haruko and Randall managed to pull him from the wreckage in the nick of time. Workman survived, though not without suffering severe injury, His lungs were scorched by heat and toxic fumes, whilst a leg and arm were torn to pieces by the cockpit's crumpled metal frame. the crash destroying half of his limbs. With what little remained of Haruko's stockpile of Augmentative equipment, the Augtech was able to stabilize Workman's shattered form through a series of emergency mechanical and neural augmentations.
  16.
  17. Workman would later wonder if it would have been more merciful to give him a quick, peaceful death. The injuries sustained in the craft had left him incredibly disfigured, with Haruko's work being the only real reason he could function semi-normally, and as time wore on Workman's situation began to worsen. The augmentations began to take a toll on the man's mind, forcing him beneath the cruel grip of paranoia and delusion. Despite the fact that Workman was still capable of remembering his team, and more than able to continue his assigned duties, he had become a shell of his former self.
  18.
  19. Only time will tell if his team decides to stay with him, and only time will tell if Workman has the strength to keep his dissociative state under control.
