Chimera - Rank 5 in the House of X's leadership, a Mutant with the ability to manipulate dimensional energies in a variety of ways, such as creating long distance portals (which can even cross interstellar distances) for her and the other House of X members to travel through, releasing energy blasts, and summoning Wraiths, disturbing feminine creatures made of swirling blackish "bandages" of an unknown and exotic matter to serve her. She also is an intermediate level Telemorph (specializing in creating telemorphic serpents to autonomously attack her enemies) and low level telepath, being able to sense emotions and general "vibes" to enemies thoughts but not being able to properly mind read, let alone mind control. She claims her origin is unimportant, and generally, it is - she was simply a mutant living somewhere in america who unlocked her mutation in her teens, and quickly afterwards began to use it to great effect, becoming a master thief and pirate in her short time using it for such things, securing a massive fortune for herself and taking everything she stole to her hidden lair - a cave deep within the depths of the earth. However, as she was looking for places to stake out one day, she discovered the ruins of an ancient city off the coast of Iberia on a shrouded island, a colony of some forgotten civilization native to the Atlantic ocean, lost to time. There she discovered advanced technology that seemed to have belonged to godlike giants, who interacted with humanity in ancient times, splitting a select number of them into two races of advanced superhumans... but these giants did not realize what exactly they had done, for their experimentation opened a gateway in humanity, a gateway known as the X-gene, an endless fountain of potential not even they had foreseen, hidden deep under the surface, waiting to be unleashed.

Ever since then, she became fascinated with this secret history, and eventually met Nathaniel Essex and Cassandra Nova, joining their organization and becoming the leader of the Marauders, the House of X's mutant foot soldiers, gathered from across the world, and, ever since Sage was born and later began to lead the House of X in 2020, artificially create them. Chimera has a greedy personality, both for material things and knowledge, and loves taking things by force, especially when it comes to things that could be used to better the lot of the House of X. She is extremely loyal to both Mr. Sinister and whoever currently leads the house, deferring to them completely, which can be somewhat jarring as she's otherwise extremely confident and boastful. She has a fondness for death and destruction in addition to her greed, and encourages the type of cruel and brutal behavior that gives the Marauders their name. Her confidence is extreme, not only in herself but the HOX in general, and will often go on lengthy rants whenever people insult it or its potential, even in its diminished 2020 form. Her aging has been permanently halted by a Celestial device she uncovered from the lost Iberian city, and she's pretty smug about it to be honest. She wears a slick black single breasted coat marked with a golden pattern styled after a snake eating a world, with a flowing, split tail at the back of the coat, with short sleeves that give way to intricate black opera gloves, covered in a glowing green hexagon pattern, and on her legs wears tall, black boots with a sinister look, leggings styled similarly to her gloves, and simple, yet slick black shorts. Her hair is long and blonde, but also has a somewhat spiky and wild quality to it, her ESP is sickly chartreuse, and her eyelashes are prominent and pointy, highlighted by eyeliner she wears. Her eyes are green and slit like a snake's, and have an ouroboros design on the outer iris.
