Good evening Boston!

I love hosting events with my constituents and meeting the people I serve in person. I’m here today to speak on behalf of Atlantic senate special election candidate /u/Dewey-Cheatem. I have known him for a long time, even before becoming a congressman, and I can say with full confidence that he is the best candidate to represent the people of AC-1 and the Atlantic Commonwealth in the senate. This Senate special election will decide the balance of power in the senate. Therefore, it is important that we have a Progessive Democrat representing us in the senate who will support the work we do in the house and the policies of our great president GuiltyAir.

Dewey-Cheatem supports progressive policies such as improving labor rights, which have been repeatedly attacked by Republicans in recent years, and modernizing the way schools teach sex education, sexual orientation, and gender identity. He will also fight for criminal justice reform to stop the mass incarceration of Americans for non-violent crimes, a problem that has disproportionately affected minorities. Dewey is a also a strong advocate for environmental rights, as seen by his promise to double natural park funding. This will ensure that all residents of our state can enjoy our state's natural treasures.

One of the biggest issues facing our country today is growing inequality. This is why colleague Dewey is fighting for landmark economic reforms so that the middle class of America can prosper. He will raise the minimum wage to 12 dollars an hour, giving more people the ability to make a living off the standard 40 hour work week. He will also implement a negative income tax for the least fortunate in our country, giving them a safety net when times are hard. Dewey will also boost our country’s revenue and reduce our deficit by making the rich pay their fair share. When we have millionaires and billionaires making vast amounts of money, there is no reason they cannot pay a little bit more in taxes.
