  1. Mor and I exit the dorms to a breeze that indicated that it is slightly cooler than it was this morning, but it wasn’t freezing. Might as well start heading home before it gets any worse.
  2.
  3. She walks alongside me quietly as we make our way off campus. It was kind of daunting to have her be this silent because I wasn’t exactly sure what she’s thinking about. I decided to break the silence for my own sake.
  4.
  5. “So, uh, do you like games? I got some games that we could play, if you’re into that.” I ask looking over at her.
  6.
  7. Her eyes lit up as she slaps her hand on my back.
  8.
  9. “Yeah! I love games… Do you think I live under a rock, Anon? Girls can play games too, ya know!” she says nudging me with her elbow.
  10.
  11. “Y-yeah, my bad. I got a bunch, so we can play whatever you want.”
  12.
  13. She shifted her walking a bit so she was even closer beside me.
  14.
  15. “I’m fine with anything really.”
  16.
  17. She swiftly wraps her hand around mine and interlocks her fingers. I could feel my face heating up, so I turned away, but she pulls my arm to bring attention back on her. Letting go was out of the question too, because although her hands were soft, her grip remained firm as if my hand was imprisoned by hers.
  18.
  19. I look back over at her to see her grinning from ear to ear.
  20.
  21. “W-why me? I don’t get it.”
  22.
  23. I started noticing that the people around us where glancing over in our direction. While some just did a quick double take, some were whispering amongst each other.
  24.
  25. “What don’t you get, Anon?” she asks innocently.
  26.
  27. The stares from the other people made me chest tighten up and sweat.
  28.
  29. “I’ll, uh, ask you about it later.”
  30.
  31. Suddenly Mor stops dead in her track as her grip on mine tightens to get me to stop walking. The people around us were really looking at us now.
  32.
  33. “No… Tell me now, Anon. What don’t you get?” she snaps at me with a concerned tone in her voice.
  34.
  35. “I-isn’t this embarrassing to you? We only started hanging out yesterday,” I nervously spat.
  36.
  37. She took in my words with a deep sigh, but breathes in and looks around at the people that surround us.
  38.
  39. “I don’t care. I really like you, Anon. I don’t care what other people think about us” she says loudly as if she was talking to the people around us.
  40.
  41. My mind went blank and mouth began to dry up at her response. I tried speaking but no sound came out. Her confident look shifted to a look of embarrassment, as she quickly turns her head to conceal her quivering lip.
  42.
  43. “I… I just wanted to let you know that I’m glad that you’ve hanged out with me these past days. Even though it took a bit of me annoying you, you’re the only one to ever give me a chance,” she says glancing over at me while still facing in the opposite direction, “…Sorry if this is too sudden for you.”
  44.
  45. I bit my tongue and calmed down a bit in preparation for my response, but she cuts me off before I get a chance.
  46.
  47. “I don’t need an answer right away. But do keep in mind that I’m not coming over to your house as your ‘buddy’ or ‘pal’ but as someone who’s interested in you, okay?” she explains to me as her grip on my hand tightens.
  48.
  49. And just like the confession that came and went, so did the people around us. It didn’t matter what they thought because in the end, it’s between the two of us to decide what step we should take from here, or more specifically what I have to do.
  50.
  51.
  52. We finally arrive at my house… Well it isn’t MY house. It’s a rental that I was lucky enough to find that was walking distance from the school. I take my keys out of my pocket and slowly open the door. Mor anxiously pushes me inside so she can get a better look around.
  53.
  54. “So, this is your house, huh?” she says taking her shoes off by the door.
  55.
  56. It isn’t very big in size, but it doesn’t need to be since it’s just me in here. There’s 1 bedroom 1 bathroom, a kitchen and a living room area that’s it. Saving money is a priority after all.
  57.
  58. “It’s pretty small, right? If you don’t like it, we can go somewhere else if you’re feeling cramped.”
  59.
  60. “N-no! That’s not what I meant. Let me have a look around~” she says excitedly.
  61.
  62. She inspects every nook and cranny of every room as I follow behind her.
  63.
  64. “It’s a lot smaller than I thought, but then again, I didn’t know what to expect… I like it a lot though. It’s very… YOU,” she ponders while giggling softly.
  65.
  66. “Heh, what’s that supposed to mean?”
  67.
  68. She winks at me then sits down on the brown sofa that’s in the living room while taking off her backpack.
  69.
  70. “So, uh, do you want something to drink? I don’t have much since I’m here alone but help yourself,” I say opening the refrigerator door.
  71.
  72. “Hmm, aren’t you the gentleman~? It’s okay. I’m not thirsty. Thanks for offering though.”
  73.
  74. I grab a Sprite can from out of the fridge and make my way to the couch. Mor was stretching out while wiggling her toes against the carpet. I sat right next to her and grabbed the TV remote that was on the table in front of us and pushed the power button.
  75.
  76. “So, uh, I don’t have many multiplayer games, but there are some really fun ones that you might like.”
  77.
  78. I hand her a 360 controller as I connect to my PC through Steam Link. We talked about it for a bit, but we decided to play some Half-Life 3.
  79.
  80.
  81. We made it pretty far through the game and I look over at my microwave to see that it’s 4 PM. I could feel my stomach starting to rumble as I put my controller down and walk over towards the fridge. I scan the shelves and bask in its emptiness. Opening the freezer, I see a couple of TV dinners, but that’s about it. I feel a hand on creep up on my shoulder, which made me jump, but instantly calm down when I see that it’s Mor.
  82.
  83. “Looking pretty empty, right? I wasn’t expecting to feed anyone else, so I’ll have to go out and get something. You can stay here if you want to,” I tell her.
  84.
  85. She appeared to be thinking until her face lit up as if she was hit with an idea.
  86.
  87. “Why don’t WE go to the grocery store? I’ll help pay,” she says expecting the contents of my fridge.
  88.
  89. “Y-you don’t have to. You’re a guest after all”
  90.
  91. She smiles at me and nods while slipping on her shoes.
  92.
  93. “Hmm… I’ll accept your generosity then. It’ll be nice to get out for a while anyways~.”
  94.
  95. Heh, I guess she’s coming along too.
  96.
  97.
  98. We leave the house to be met with a gust of wind. It’s a lot chillier than it was before, and the sky was completely covered with dark clouds overhead, and the air had a wet smell to it. Good thing the grocery store isn’t terrible far from us. It’s about a 15-minute walk.
  99. We walk down the sidewalk as we are hit with annoyingly strong gusts of wind. Mor was shivering slightly.
  100.
  101. Deep breath in… and out. Here goes nothing!
  102.
  103. I walk closer to her and reach out for her hand. It startles her when mine wraps around hers, but she accepts my gesture with a bright smile. I slid my other hand into my pocket as did she.
  104.
  105. We walked in silence alongside the street quietly as the wind blew harshly at us.
  106.
  107. “Hey listen, Mor… I’ve been thinking a bit, and I’d like to give things a sh-”
  108.
  109. WHOOSH!
  110.
  111. “Sorry, Anon! I couldn’t hear you. What did you say?” Mor says leaning her face a little closer to mine at the wind howls at the worst possible time.
  112.
  113. I feel the blood rushing to my face as she looks at me questioningly.
  114.
  115. “N-nothing, don’t worry about it.”
