  1. The interview is going to follow a format like this, I'm going to ask you a series of questions based on scenarios which agents frequently face to see how you would handle them, and afterwards I'm going to ask you some basic questions on procedure and yourself.
  2. ResiToday at 3:09 PM
  3. Alright.
  4. Mofo1995Today at 3:11 PM
  5. First question: A close friend of yours OOCly files an incident report. All of the other agents are either on leave or already assigned to other incident reports. How do you proceed?
  6. ResiToday at 3:15 PM
  7. Talk to you, I assume, to see if we'd prefer to wait on the incident report until someone else is free to take it, or if I should move forward and do my best to be unbiased- we have logs to review and witnesses to examine, and those help paint a picture beyond the inital he said-she said of a case. I'd prefer not to handle cases with close OOC friends, but I've been pretty consistently good about keeping IC and OOC separate.
  8. Mofo1995Today at 3:18 PM
  9. All righty.
  10.
  11. Next question, you receive a fax from the station that another company has purchased the station, they're asking for verification. How do you respond to the fax?
  12. ResiToday at 3:22 PM
  13. We have access to AOOC, so I'd like to contact the antag there and see if they want us to back their plan- If their plan seems reasonable and if it seems like we could help facilitate a round (instead of letting command go 'no, that's not real', as tends to happen with newer command, especially), I'd type up some long bureaucratic response that essentially lends credence to the antag's claim- possibly with extra sass along the lines of 'please don't call us anymore you're not our jobs anymore'. If the antag didn't respond, I'd do my best to respond vaguely, again, to facilitate the round.
  14. Mofo1995Today at 3:28 PM
  15. Okay, good so far.
  16.
  17. Three new IRs are posted in the IR forum, and all of them are about a character named "George Melons." When you look, you see that all three were posted by different characters of one ckey. How do you handle the situation?
  18. ResiToday at 3:29 PM
  19. Are they all from the same shift?
  20. Mofo1995Today at 3:29 PM
  21. No
  22. ResiToday at 3:31 PM
  23. I think I'd like to check with admins and with the players, oocly, first, to make sure no one thinks there's any kind of metagrudge thing going on. If admins clear it and the players don't file any sort of ooc complaint, I'd process the IRs individually as usual.
  24. Mofo1995Today at 3:37 PM
  25. A human head of security player files an IR against a Zhan-Khazan tajaran cargo technician regarding their conduct on the station. How does effect your investigation and the severity of penalties at the end of the report?
  26. ResiToday at 3:41 PM
  27. I'd want to be extra sure to figure out why the HoS didn't feel they could resolve these issues in the round- unless there are some pretty extraordinary circumstances, ususally VERY antag related, an HoS should be able to brig a cargo tech. If the HoS didn't do very much in the round, I suppose I'd question why they wanted CCIA to handle it, since it's assumed players will do their best to resolve issues in round.
  28. Mofo1995Today at 3:45 PM
  29. Yes, but do the races of the character affect how you conduct and conclude your investigation?
  30. ResiToday at 3:46 PM
  31. Well, yes. I want to keep in mind the lore, so I want to be a tiny bit biased in favor of the human, especially as a command member.
  32. And I do mean tiny as in, not overtly.
  33. Mofo1995Today at 3:50 PM
  34. Moving on,
  35.
  36. over the course of the round you receive an emergency message asking for an ERT from the station AI, it states that the situation on the station is out of hand. How do you proceed?
  37. ResiToday at 3:50 PM
  38. Are there command staff on station, listed on the manifest as alive?
  39. Mofo1995Today at 3:57 PM
  40. Yes
  41. ResiToday at 3:59 PM
  42. I would respond with a message from central about how two heads of staff are expected to be availible to swipe for an ERT and request a situation report from command staff.
  43. Mofo1995Today at 4:04 PM
  44. You take on an IR for investigation and attempt to get in contact with the person who filed the report. Two weeks pass and they do not answer your attempt to establish an interview. How do you handle the report?
  45. ResiToday at 4:04 PM
  46. I've seen reports that no one responds to dropped a few times, so I assume at that point I drop the report and explain why.
  47. Mofo1995Today at 4:07 PM
  48. You're playing in a around and you are the only agent online. A fax is sent to central regarding yourself. How do you respond to the fax?
  49. ResiToday at 4:10 PM
  50. I honestly don't know, I don't feel like I could.
  51. Mofo1995Today at 4:12 PM
  52. That will be all for the scenario questions. Let's move onto the next section.
  53.
  54. What do you feel are the OOC responsibilities of CCIA? What function do you think they fulfill for the server?
  55. ResiToday at 4:12 PM
  56. They do a few things, but mostly they're a neat way of adding to the overarching story of the server. They bring consistency to characters and events, and I've seen characters (my own included) be shaped by CCIA's longterm involvement.
  57. In rounds, they help facilitate conflict- calling for ERTs, validating faxes, etc.
  58. Mofo1995Today at 4:18 PM
  59. Do you feel that CCIA has appropriately handled your incident reports in the past? How do you think your experience with IRs will shape how you conduct them in the future?
  60. ResiToday at 4:20 PM
  61. Yeah, absolutely. Like I said, I think they're a great tool for character development. I'm especially interested in creative solutions to IRs, restraining orders, community service, etc. Things that have an impact on a character in round beyond 'you're fired.'
  62. Even the way the incidents on record for Fernando are written, it adds to the character every time anyone looks at employment records-
  63.
  64. Pretty much art
  65. Mofo1995Today at 4:24 PM
  66. All righty! That will be all for the interview. Thanks for your time!
