Reishin Sentai Go-Spectres

(霊 - "Rei", ghost, 進 - "Shin", advancement, 霊進 - "Spiritual advancement", pun on "racing")

Plot: On his eighteenth birthday, Kintaro Tsunematsu is killed by a Revenz, a rogue phantom that has escaped the Spirit World. But instead of moving on, Kintaro lingers on as a ghost - a phenomenon that is supposed to be impossible. He is quickly scooped up by the Reishin Sentai Go-Spectres, a covert team aligned with the Spirit World's Tactical Operations Monster Bureau (TOMB) that deals with incidents involving spirits and monsters intruding into the Over World. Assuming he's just another "lost soul", the team decide to get Kintaro transferred to the afterlife.

However, reports come in en masse of Revenz appearing around the world. The Revenz, once thought to have been imprisoned permenantly in the Spirit World, have been released somehow, and are creating fear in humans. Intruiged by Kintaro's case and seeing the potential he has, the head commander of TOMB decides to enroll him as one of the Go-Spectres to help curb the Revenz invasion. But promoting an easily-spooked pacifist to the role of red ranger might have been a bad idea. And there's stil the question of how the Revenz came to escape the Spirit World to begin with...

The Team:
M Red - Kintaro Tsunematsu. A mild-mannered pacifist who is easily spooked. (Ghost/sports car)
M Blue - Davey. A muscular bodybuilder with a luchadore's personality. (Gillman/Hauler truck)
F Yellow - Tutti. A mummy who acts spoiled and bratty, but has a good heart underneath. (Mummy/excavator)
M Black - Vlad. A suave, gentlemanly vampire who comes off as a bit of a womaniser. (Vampire/jet fighter)
F Green - Beth. An aspiring witch. Her experiments keep exploding in her face. (Witch/helicopter)

M Silver - Talbot. The Ookami Revenz, falsely accused and working to clear his name. Tends to talk in an old-fashioned manner. (Werewolf/police)

TOMB Staff:
General Stein: The one in charge of TOMB. An absent-minded human scientist who helped to found the organization.
Commander Frank: The commander of the Go-Spectres. Tries to be stern, but isn't very good at it. His face keeps falling off.
Styx: A scarecrow who works on the team's tech. He never says anything. Don't touch the stuffed crow on his shoulder.

Gear:
Collectables are Reishin Lamps that light up.
Transformation gear also doubles as main side arm.
Go-Spectres also get individual weapons and shared bazooka weapon.

Silver Spectre gets unique transformation item and can transform into another form akin to Beast Unleashed from Zyuohger.

Mecha:
- Reishin Gattai King Spectre: Core five fused together.
	- Reishin Vehicle RS-01 Racer: Sports car with a ghost/will o' wisp motif. Can ignite it's body into flames and ram opponents. Forms the back torso and head.
	- Reishin Vehicle BG-02 Hauler: Hauler truck with a sunken ship motif. The armoured body hides various hidden tools such as cannons, a crane etc. Forms the majority of the body and the legs.
	- Reishin Vehicle YM-03 Digger: Excavator with a pyramid motif. Can concentrate light energy into a laser and throw heavy objects. Forms the left arm.
	- Reishin Vehicle BV-04 Jetter: Jet fighter with a gothic church/stained glass motif. Has built-in lasers and can fly incredibly fast. Forms the right arm and sword.
	- Reishin Vehicle GW-05 Rotor: Helicopter with a broomstick motif. Manouverable and can drop "hex bombs" from the back. Forms the chest.

- Reishin Gattai King Wolf: Silver Spectre's personal robot.
	- Reishin Vehicle SW-06 Hunter: Police van with a wolf motif. Forms the torso and head.
	- Reishin Support Vehicle CW Dive: Submersile with a "sea wolf" motif. Forms the legs.
	- Reishin Support Vehicle MW Hover: Gyrocopter with a "sky wolf" motif. Forms the arms.

Villains
Samedi: A mysterious figure who seems to be behind the appearance of the Revenz.
Revenz: A race of phantoms who inspired legends of Yokai. They lack physical forms, being stored inside Reven Lamps, and must possess inanimate objects to interact with the world. Their goal is to spread fear, which is their source of food and power. When defeated, Samedi can revive them as giants.
	- Kama Revenz: A scythe-themed Revenz that inspired the kamaitachi. He uses his sharp claws as swords and can conjure tornadoes.
	- Houe Revenz: A robe-themed Revenz that inspired the umibozu. He sprays water from his mouth that dries into a sticky glue.
	- Ito Revenz: A weaving-themed Revenz that inspired the tsuchigumo. She spins webs and can burrow beneath the earth.
	- Hachi Revenz: A bowl-themed Revenz that inspired the kappa. Extremely physically strong and with a tough shell.
	- Megane Revenz: A Revenz comprised of many lens-like beings that inspired the mokumokuren.
	- Gyuusha Revenz: An oxcart-themed Revenz that inspired the oboroguruma. Fast and difficult to catch.
