- [19:00] Thorn clasped his hands together, a hand grasping at the air- The gauntlet's illusory or not as of now, would be described as he saw it.. He even busted out a BOOK- His notes, his blue notebook thumbed towards a PAGE. Sketches, doodles.
- "Simple. Gloves- Gauntlets, that will allow me to command the electromagnetic forces and enshroud themselves in shrapnel and chains.. It'll be a perfect conduit for my lightning, arcing across and around the links and all. Ultimately?! This'll be a perfect set... It'll be better than the Sultan's Folly- It'll be better than Yahoel! It'll be the BEST on Eternia."
- He flicks a finger towards Katrin, "And it's because I've got you!!" He grinned, nodding- He was ecstatic, there was low-grade lightning coursing through his veins as he considered it all.
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] And, as in times before, his excitement infects her almost immediately. Not that she wasn't already excitable when it came to pushing the limits of her craft. Katrin looms over his shoulder, watching him flip through the book.
- "Yeah! That I remember. It's gonna be the best." Only the best she could afford for Thorn. Anything less would be an insult.
- She reaches into her belongings and adds another material to the veritable pile. A set of bloodcopper gauntlets.
- "I think...if ya ain't mind it. These'd maybe help."
- They had been meant for someone else. But with them gone...It only felt right to apply them her instead.
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] {Item} You drop Crimson Crushers.
- [19:00] Katrin says, "Or. I can make ya a fresh set."
- [19:00] Golden hues scanned each of the items procured, the man couldn't believe it. All his labor were about to give fruit to something little more than capable of standing a chance- "And far more... LUCKY." He gasped, there was a crucial ingredient- "I passed out a lot of my lucky charms in hope that my friends would have brighter lives- Or at least, easier ones." He chuckled softly, it was the child in his heart that was still pulling his strings at times.
- "But if you can, if you may. Somehow, someway." He procures a four-leaf clover. "Add this too. Pal."
- His gaze locked unto the gauntlets.. "When did you make this... Pal?" There was wonder, amazement in his eye. "It's cool. It- If you think it'd help. I believe in you then, I entrust it all to you." There was a lot of faith in his heart AND soul for Katrin.
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] It was a trove, without a doubt. A lot had been gathered over the Meztin's career.
- "Way more lucky. Better in every way we can make it," she agrees. But talk was cheap. Action is what would be the proof here, the combination and culmination of so many things. Katrin nods at the clover
- "This is all an awful lot. May not need it all, y'know. But I'll try to find a place for anything ya want added."
- The artificer frowns momentarily at the gloves.
- "...Tora had 'em commissioned. For his lady. Made 'em a lil' while ago.
- Think it'd make a good base for what ya want though. Made with blood copper. It's a good conductor."
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] Katrin says, "Can augment the basic gloves with the moon arcanium ya got. That stun baton...can break it up into bits, if you're keen on it. Have it be part of the shrapnel it controls, maybe. "
- [19:00] Eyes widen- His smile wavers for a moment. His friends. A finger glides along the metal gloves. He could only imagine what his family would want. The Silver Dragons were always intertwined in eachother's business in someway or another. "Of course- I just want to be more overprepared than underprepared, at the end of the day I can give you my vision but I know that you'll be the one to put in the hours for it all, as I've done for the materials." He snickers to himself.
- "Hope they're resting well beside each other." He glances back towards Katrin and hums,
- "That's what I was thinking... I never got bloodcopper before- It's rarer than arcanium to me, at least!" He shrugs his shoulders, "I'm sure the stun baton's also made of some blood copper- I ain't even sure where it's from. I won the tournament of Starfall with it though!" He rubs at his chin in thought.
- "Hey, yknow this is the second time I've commissioned you, and you're really the only artificer I've ever walked to."
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] "I might not be the spiritual sort...but I'm willin' to bet they are," she offers, an attempt for comfort, a hand on the Ookami's shoulder. She gives it a squeeze.
- "Then...Let me run all this by ya. So ya got a pretty picture of what we're doing."
- Katrin starts to pain an image of her plan, pointing to each piece as she goes.
- "The gloves as the base. Stun baton, broken up, actin' as the shrapnel. Moon arcanium platin' the gloves. Take this here spirit shard...Have it placed on the back of one of the hands to match the other. Usin' that lightning fragment to twin up with the bottled lightning on the palm. Even it out.
- Everythin' balanced, y'know? Can tuck that lil' clover into the fur on the cuffs. And then..."
- She squints at the lightning orb.
- "...I got no idea with that one. Could grind it up. Dust the shrapnel in it, give it an extra charge."
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] "Thanks." A sigh escapes him. He.. Was comforted by her words, his gaze rose to meet with hers as she explained and painted the very exact image into his mind. He nods along, he didn't really have much to disagree on.
- "Can't wait then!! If you ever think you need anything else? Anything at all to finish this... I wanna be there every step of the way- If- If- I can. I'm still pretty unsure..." He scratched at the back of his head with a smile, "Granted, the orb.. I can probably add that to another thing.. An article of armor that'll allow me to better.. Yknow, Move? Breathe?"
- He hummed, "Dunno if you know but." He tapped against his own chestplate, "The winds ain't really in my favor since my fight upon a branch of Yggdrasil!"
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] "Then that's how it'll be. I can start now. Unless ya wanted me to work on it later," she offers. She looks over the orb, then to Thorn with a slight frown.
- "...Yeah. Best to save that then. We can get ya some armor to get ya breathing right again." Something to bring him comfort then, if he was injured.
- "Gonna be a doozy. Lot goin' in this. But I'm up for it if ya are."
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] Thorn Meztin exclaims, "I'm definitely up for it!"
- [19:00] Thorn Meztin asks, "No time like the present, yknow?"
- [19:00] Katrin says, "Yeah, you're right."
- [19:00] The base had already been made in the red, coppery gloves. Still there was a lot to add. Which would no doubt be necessary if this was going to be on par with the likes of relics like Yahoel.
- She puts the gloves down and, with a little application of fire magic, loosens them up so the bottled lightning on the back of one can be wiggled free.
- In its place? She slides in the matching spirit fragment and smooths the metal back over it. Now they would really be a matching par.
- Flipped over, palms up the artificer does a similar trick- an application of magmatic magic to make the metal soft and pliable. Into one she begins forming the bottled lightning anew. And into its twin? The fragment of lightning. Boy, those insulated gloves are coming in real handy.
- "Do me a favor? Think ya can bust up that baton? Carefully, mind ya..."
- More hands made less work, after all.

- [19:00] Were the insulated gloves perfect for the task?! Thorn was absolutely... Mesmerized! It was the second time he had seen Katrin at work. His eyes danced around as the artificer got to work, he scratched at his chin as he awaited.. For something to do!
- "Ah! Sure. Sure! I'm quite good at disassembling things. With grace, precision and more.." He trailed off, choosing to show off his prowess with actions rather than words. His claws being used as a screwdriver to loosen up the handle- Although he wasn't particularly resistant to electricity and lightning yet! There was some care and concern to his movements.
- Only a bit of force being added as he tried to splinter the metal rod. "This stuff was absolutely potent! I remember taking down... So many, many people." He chuckled softly, "Wish you coulda been there to see some of 'em. Some of my best work!"
- The tip was disassembled! The energy that coursed through the machine has been siphoned and cut off, wiring within being pulled away. He offered towards Katrin.
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] Katrin watches with an approving eye. More delicate than she'd taken the Ookami to do. Not that she remains wholly idle herself. There's still a great deal of work to do.
- "And I wish I coulda' seen it. But I figure you'll be havin' plenty more fights and breakin' up stuff yet," she reasons. Or such is her most earnest hope.
- "This way? It'll still be with ya too. Still helpin' ya kick ass and take names."
- Though the gloves were technically made, parts of them would need to be reforged if she's going to include the moon arcanium. The palms, where the fragments of spirits and lightning are housed, are kept intact; instead she disassembles the fingers of the gauntlet, piling them all up.
- Fire magic is such a handy thing for the artificer. Any artificer, really. As she's done before with her creative flair Katrin tugs off the gloves to work with the stuff. The moon arcanium is melted down, made malleable by clay, and she takes great pains to re-create the individual finger plates and reattach them to their respective gloves.
- The original blood copper is not forgot. It's given the same treatment, except instead of comprising the base of the fingers it's applied in little circuits for the lightning magic to flow through, amplified.
- "Aaaand...there.
- Now! We got the gloves. We got the shrapnel. I got an idea."
- Katrin dusts her hands off, resting them on her hips as she turns to Thorn.
- "Try 'em on. And then see if ya can't charge those shrapnel bits with a lil' power. Yeah?"
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] There was always something sinful with idle hands, the price that all good men pay. Hopefully, in this endeavor he could find some reprieve! Worry less of what is outside his walls and of more what was right in front of him! A weapon powerful enough to rival the relic of Gehenna's past, to become Thorn's own in name and in spirit!
- "Hey. I'm glad I've got a partner in crime. Been a while since I could call someone that- Hope it lasts a lifetime pal!" He snaps his fingers and watches the artificer continue on their work.
- With each piece of loot being molded into something usable by the frame of his weapon- With every piece of arcanium transformed into someone more malleable than the last. His thumbs fiddle around a bit, idle. There was little to say as she worked, lest he ruin her focus and mar his materials!
- "Ah..?" He raises a brow, a hand extending towards the glove as he slowly- Slowly, with much CARE into his movements? One glove slips onto his hand, it was experimentation time! He hummed softly, there was a certain mastery to his movements, while the methodology had been discovered recently- While he hadn't considered the facts of combining his chosen elemental affinities... Electromagnetism was a new experience, his mana circuits were put to work! Thorn could supply his own mana without the venerable focus of the Sultan's Folly.
- His humming became intense, the low buzz of electricity filling the air. Static built up, arcs of lightning rolled across the shrapnel, hopping from one side to the next glove before vanishing entirely. The Blood copper made it easier, it's conductivity allowing for a little more leeway when it came to distributing his magic!
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] Thorn Meztin exclaims, "Yes.. YES.. This is.. THIS is what I want!"
- [19:00] Idle hands do the devil's work. Actually, depending on the job, Katrin's also doing that even when not idle. This is probably one of her more well-intentioned big projects. And, perhaps, even one that might have her name echo in history. A piece to pass down through the ages.
- "Me too. I mean, I can make stuff alone. Love my work, but it's always better with company. Good company, yeah?"
- She was master of her craft. He was master of his magic. The two went hand-in-hand here.
- The gloves are chock full of elemental imbuements and metals all designed for electric and magical conductivity. A powderkeg simply waiting for power to flow through it and take charge.
- Thorn does, to bright, gratifying affect. Her face splits into its manic grin.
- "GREAT! Now-"
- A pause. A thought occurs to her. The smile fades and the artificer chews on her lip pensively.
- "...There's one more thing I can add. If ya want me to give it a shot." Katrin reaches into her belt for an old rusty blade.
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] The Meztin could only hope that the fruits of their labor could be used for the greater good of the tribes for CENTURIES to come- Akin to the Sultan's Folly at least, in that respect.
- "You've got that right, pal! Hope I fill those shoes." He smirks, his hands slide out of the glove as he rubs at his chin again, claws scratching against his skin as he sits in wonder, in... Amazement.
- "This'll be all too cool. I can't wait to take these puppies out into battle! Or at least.. Show them off. MY artificer made THIS. Katrin Weiss!" The name said with pride, with joy-
- But only to halt as her own smile fades, he leaned in a bit. There was intrigue..
- "Oh? What's up?"
- (Thorn Meztin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] "If anyone can? It's you, Thorn."
- Better than Yahoel. Better than the Sultan's Folly. In a way, her own legacy. One of the few ways she's capable of even leaving one of her own any longer.
- Katrin can think of none finer than the Meztin to wield them either. But the work may not be done yet. She holds up a hand and poises the point of the rusty blade towards her palm.
- "...Well. Ya put 'em down a second. There's one last thing I can do. Maybe it'll...give it a lil' boost."
- (Katrin)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [19:00] Thorn Meztin asks, ".. Ah ..? Is it what I believe?"
- [19:00] Katrin asks, "Depends. What do ya 'believe' it is?"
- [19:00] Katrin says, "Ya don't want it. I won't do it."
- [19:00] Thorn Meztin asks, "If it's pricking your hands for blood. Well, that's one way to engorge the spirits. Yknow?"
- [19:00] Katrin says, "I was thinkin' a lil' more than a prick. But."
- [19:00] Well. He doesn't seem to be stopping her. The artificer takes the gloves back- unless the Meztin refuses the final touch. In her grasp she heats up the mix of metals one last time and sets them on the work table.
- A 'prick' was an understatement. Katrin takes the rusty blade and dashes it across her palm. For this task, the one she has in mind, a few drops will not do.
- Blood drips from her palm, cascading over the gauntlets with an awful hissing, spitting noise.
