  1. And at that moment...
  2. Ren: What, someone's already there?
  3. Rea: So someones aside from us come here as well.
  4. A certain someone who've led us appeared.
  5. Rindou: Ah...
  6. I was thankful to the Dawn, who arranged such fulfillment of our premonition.
  7. Along with Suzuka holding back an overwhelming feeling of admiration, I mustered the best smile I could manage for a moment like that.
  8. I was just stubborn like that, and couldn't show an uncool face to them.
  9. So I went back to my old usual, kinda neat-looking face.
  10. Habaki: Yo. Are you our senpai?
  11. I went ahead and started a friendly, cheerful talk with the two.
  12. Maybe it sounded a bit overly familiar, but I was just really glad and excited, so I hoped they'll understand.
  13. All my deep affection and respect I haven't been able to show back then — I put it into this unserious talk.
  14. Habaki: We just graduated this spring, but our student spirit is still kinda here, so we just somehow ended up there.
  15. Habaki: You know, it's just that when you become an adult, a lot of stuff feels hard and complicated, so teach us how to do things there, okay?
  16. Not as someone from the blighted lands who needs to be destroyed.
  17. But as the two souls that live in the same time, and laugh together.
  18. I wasn't sure if my intent went through, but soon the surprised expression on the face of the one I was talking to changed into the friendly smile.
  19. Now, Yato, let us start the happiest time.
  20. Ren: Ah, so kouhai... though we graduated five years ago, so we're not exactly senpai to you, and can't do much for you.
  21. Ren: Rather than that, we'd like you to tell us about all the stuff like how the teaches there now.
  22. Rea: And also if there are still those kimchi sandwiches.
  23. Habaki: A-a-h... that's...
  24. Rindou: Wouldn't it be better for you two to check out by yourselves someday?
  25. Rindou: I feel like the impression would be stronger then. It's not like you're here for the last time, right?
  26. Rea: Well, you may be right.
  27. Poking me with an elbow, Suzuka fixed my shabby answer with a smart comment. And for that, I was deeply thankful to her.
  28. Rea: For us, this place is filled with many memories, so we'll probably be coming here again and again. Same goes for you, right?
  29. Habaki: A-ah, yeah, that's right.
  30. I answered like that, leaning on the wire net. My attitude aside, it seemed that our partners also were talking without any constraints.
  31. I was deeply impressed by how there was no hostility in their voices — finally, we were standing on the equal grounds.
  32. And we laughed.
  33. Habaki: Well, you know, we were kinda hanging out and messing around with our pals on that roof here.
  34. Habaki: You know how it is? Like, it's a perfect place for the manly fight one-on-one.
  35. Ren: I dunno, is it? Well, things like that aren't bad, I guess.
  36. Ren: I'm no the type that's good with words, so if I had something to say to another man, it may go like that.
  37. Yeah, I know that perfectly well, my great senpai. You were totally a demon of a teacher.
  38. You said that they can't do much for us, but that's not how it is. So for now, let us keep that senpai-kouhai relationship.
  39. Even if I say something stupid again, Suzuka will surely somehow find a way out.
  40. Ren: But you know, that's a weird feeling. As if we're not meeting here for the first time.
  41. Ren: Reminds me of one guy I know. You're that type who likes messing around, aren't you?
  42. Habaki: Hah, that goes without saying!
  43. Rindou: That's not something to be proud of, you fool.
  44. Rindou: I'm really sorry, as you can see, he's really shameless and rude fellow. And also vulgar and reckless, and so he's doesn't really know his place.
  45. Rea: We don't really mind though. Somehow a lot of people around us are like that.
  46. Ren: Ah, that feeling again. Foreknowledge was it?
  47. Ren: It feels like we're just connected by fate with some weird folks, right?
  48. Rea: Yes, looks like that.
  49. Habaki: Whoa, that's rude.
  50. No matter what we were saying, it was still fun...
  51. To the point of crying, we were earnestly wishing happiness for them.
  52. Thank you, we are truly grateful to you. Although we can't say it aloud, we actually, for the bottom of our hearts, feel that gratitude.
  53. For everything — your guidance, the future you've entrusted to us, for everything that lives under that sky of Myriad.
  54. Just now, I truly wish for the time to stop. Your wish is really a wonderful one.
  55. It isn't Endless Hell.
  56. Habaki: So, hey, you look so happy, something good happened? Come on, tell us!
  57. Habaki: Just like you've said, I really like making a great fuss about things, and you know, that rooftop kinda puts you into this mood!
  58. Ren: Well, how should I say that... Yeah, I guess you're not wrong.
  59. Rea: And why you're suddenly faltering here?
  60. Rea: Come one, once at the time you can actually say it yourself.
  61. Although the answer was an uncertain one, it was pretty clear that I was correct.
  62. Ren: We're marrying.
  63. Rea: And just in a few hours from now, in a church nearby.
  64. Habaki: O-oh.
  65. Rindou: So that's how it is.
  66. We were half-expecting this, but still, at that moment our feelings were screaming.
  67. Two people swore their love there, back when we visited this place as Eastern Expedition.
  68. What a strange turn of fate, taken to the extreme. As always, this guy isn't good at playing shy. Speaks as if it's troubling, but deep inside he's really glad.
  69. Rea: An oath of our eternal love will be blessed by my hopeless foster father. He might be a pervert through and through, but still a priest.
  70. Rea: I feel a bit uneasy about it though. He will cry for sure.
  71. Ren: When we told him we were dating, he was bawling and grinding his teeth.
  72. Rindou: But isn't it a proof of the deep affection of a parent to his child? I think it's beautiful.
  73. Rea: Actually, I'd like him to go ahead and find someone as well.
  74. Rea: Like, having a fateful encounter with someone. Someone with glasses, a gentle attitude, and a uselessly big lumps of fat for breasts.
  75. Rea: I feel like a fate like that awaits him. What do you think? Because otherwise, he might actually follow us on our honeymoon. To Kumamoto, for example.
  76. Habaki: No, I mean, if you're asking me, I dunno...
  77. Rea: What? Do you hate bears?
  78. Rindou: Is that such an important thing?
  79. A-ah, that one's hopeless, she's like not from this world. But still, even though I don't understand her very well, it might be a good thing.
  80. But, well, bears aside, not wanting her father to disturb their newlywed life is understandable, so wanting him to go his way is alright... but still, it's a bit harsh.
  81. Apparently, her father really loves her. I kind of want a chance to also be an overprotective parent not wanting to let go of his child.
  82. Ren: Well, as you can see, there are ups and downs ahead.
  83. Ren: We argued back and forth, were blessed, and when we finally arrived at this point...
  84. Ren: I don't really understand it myself... but I just wanted to come to this rooftop.
  85. Ren: No matter how much we were asked, we won't be able to clearly answer, exactly why. It just was an essential thing for us before marrying and to take a step into the new tomorrow.
  86. Ren: I felt like I've left something important here.
  87. To run with all he has through every moment in each new day.
  88. Ren: I felt like I had to report it to the sky here.
  89. Ren: Or something like that. I felt it from the depth of my heart, although it sounds like an empty sentiment.
  90. He said with a bit lonely, but dignified smile.
  91. I couldn't help but admire that person who loved the past [Moment], but still gazed into the future.
  92. And so, I think...
  93. Habaki: You really like the sky [Twilight], aren't you?
  94. Ren: Yes.
  95. That short, but the strong answer of his made me feel proud of him.
  96. I understood it at that moment — in that man still lived the words he said back then, that he will certainly not forget his love for his goddess.
  97. The strength of his will was enough to oppose the law of a god, even though now he was just a normal human, having lost his divinity. After all, this man is really great. From the bottom of my heart, I admire him.
  98. Rea: Yeah, strangely, I also wanted to do something like that.
  99. Rea: Although it was slightly different, like "Thank you", or "Leave it to me". But still, I felt like I had to do this.
  100. Even after losing something important, the time still goes forward. The moment cannot last forever.
  101. The time flows, along with the unchanging brilliance in the seabed. And so — we have to live in the present, without stopping. We love, and so we live.
  102. For we will not forget the gentle embrace of the goddess.
  103. The time of mourning has ended. The part of the Twilight surely will live forever in the souls of those two. And so, now we laugh.
  104. Feeling relieved, we exchanged glances with Suzuka.
  105. Rindou: Well, although it's just my words, but you are, how should I say it?.. Cool, I think. You might not be aware of it, but you might've made a lot of girls cry.
  106. Rindou: Maybe you came to that high place unconsciously wishing to apologize to them all.
  107. Rindou: Look, you can see the whole town from here.
  108. Ren: Ah, well, it's probably not that...
  109. Rea: So you get it after all. And, see, he doesn't even realize it. Really makes me mad.
  110. Although complaining, the woman who once led the forces of the blighted lands, laughed agreeing with the Suzuka's words.
  111. It made me annoyed, but at the same time proud.
  112. But, well, nothing I could do about that. After all, that great senpai of mine was the only person whose superiority I admitted.
  113. The fact that Suzuka called him cool, well, I'll forgive that. Have to show that I'm not that shallow.
  114. Rea: So he's a really annoying type.
  115. Rindou: I do understand you, yes. He does look like that.
  116. Rindou: "I will protect you", "I believe in him", "Leave it to me"...
  117. Rea: "I cannot afford to lose anything anymore, so you step aside, I'm a man, so I won't lose" and such.
  118. Rea: There's another one like that, but he's not really much on words. He's the type that talks without words, and somehow his range in surprisingly wide, so he even attracts other men.
  119. Rindou: Sounds like a problem, yes.
  120. Rea: Truly it is. Awakes the strange part in me.
  121. Rindou: Really, what a complicated person.
  122. Somehow their talk sounds really relaxed, but for us man, it's like a bed of nails. Is that what they call "girl's talk"? That stuff is really dangerous and scary.
  123. It looks as if flowers bloom between the women who share their complaints like that. Although the other man looks really uncomfortable and I feel pity for him, it's also kind of fun.
  124. After all, it's just your fate to have complicated relationships with women at any time.
  125. Ren: But that's, you know... kinda, man's stubbornness? We need something like that.
  126. Ren: Hey, you're also a man, so you get it, right?
  127. Habaki: Well, they're probably right, so just accept it, senpai.
  128. I made fun of him like that, but at that moment the dangerous attention turned to me.
  129. Rea: But your one doesn't look like that type at all. Probably won't have many victims, so it's easier on you.
  130. Habaki: Hey, are you saying that I'm not a popular type?
  131. Rea: Am I wrong?
  132. Rindou: No, you are not.
  133. Hey, what are you doing, shooting me down with one phrase like that? I'll cry, you know?
  134. Rindou: So yes, surely no one but me will deal with that idiot.
  135. Rindou: Other women would only see him as a fool, and, well, they won't be wrong.
  136. Habaki: That didn't help at all, you know.
  137. Ren: Well, she's probably right, so just accept it, kouhai.
  138. Being told that by a lady-killer like him was really annoying, but even so, those words sounded very fitting for him. Which just made it more irritating.
  139. How about getting another woman in the middle of your wedding ceremony then? — if I said something like that, surely that exchange would go forth. We were talking like long-time friends.
  140. Certainly, doesn't feel like we're talking like that for the first time. No matter what we talked about, it still was fun.
  141. Afterward, we just went ahead with a dream-like conversation like that.
  142. Now that we finally understood them, somehow one way or another, our gratitude and respect somehow transmitted to them.
  143. And so the time went calmly.
  144. Ren: Sorry, but I think it's about time for us.
  145. The time of the ceremony approached. And with it, the end of the dream-like time.
  146. Although we didn't want to part with them, at least I wanted to say the last farewell in a good way.
  147. So we, looking straight into their eyes...
  148. Under the same sky, the one where the Dawn and the Twilight entwined, at that moment, we bless you.
  149. Rindou: We wish for your happiness.
  150. Habaki: Get along well, don't lose to us.
  151. Ren: Don't need you to worry about... no, not that.
  152. He stopped himself with a bitter smile.
  153. That stubborn attitude was no longer needed.
  154. That's what a soul whispered somewhere. And instead, he said with a soft, the Twilight-like smile:
  155. Ren: Thank you. From now on, we'll walk ahead together.
  156. Ren: You as well, don't let her push you around too much.
  157. Rea: Actually, I want you to visit our ceremony as well. So if you'll feel like it, feel free to come.
  158. Rindou: Yes, of course.
  159. You're making a first great step into the New World. Of course, we want to see it.
  160. Congratulations, and happiness to you. This is the very least we can do for you. We wish for you to live under that sky with a smile. And we'll try hard to follow the example of the all-loving goddess.
  161. From now on, the burden of the succeded Throne lies on us, and we'll hold it with pride and dignity.
  162. So, once again, thank you, senpai. Thank you, the heroes of the Old World.
  163. We — Sakagami Habaki, and Koga Rindou — were glad to see you.
