  1. The first time Thuzad needed to look smart instead of tough was a run for Kaneda Bank. The job involved a con at a fancy party - far from the street crimes they'd grown up with. All Thuzad's cultivated gang contacts and urban lore were useless when confronted with an elite clothier who scoffed at their scrawny proportions and insisted on formal gender-dress standards. Things got worse when the tailor began to suspect, correctly, the legitimacy of their credsticks.

  7. having fled the daylit world, otto lurked beneath the city streets, associating chiefly with riff-raff and ne'er-do-wells who simply had no better options for either the company they kept or the professional assistance they requisitioned. an on-and-off associate of thuzad's gang, otto could be counted on to fake both creds and credentials when they were needed, in exchange for errands, amenities, and vintage video games he wasn't in position to complete or aqcquire on his own. of course, actually selling the story in person remained thuzad's own problem.

  13. The Ninkyo Dantai is an organization of outcasts. While not openly hiring non-Japanese, the organization's interests remain transactional, and the crew chiefs and local underbosses are given broad jurisdiction in deciding how they pursue their business. To Takaoda Jin, a troll by birth and Korean by way of a long-forgotten ancestor, it was second nature to turn to the outcast and the stranger as a way to cultivate an edge in his business. As crew-chief for the Bothell Yamaguchi-gumi, Jin was known for his shrewd deals and willingness to exploit talents refused as 'unbecoming' or too strange for his fellows and rivals. In this respect, the names of certain unique individuals- Thuzad and Otto foremost- and their unique talents became known to the Yakuza underboss. The jobs he offered were modest in scope and reward, but rarely dangerous and never without fair compensation for effort. Jin's arrest and fall from grace had immediate repercussions in Seattle's grey-sector job market.

  19. These days Thuzad has something approaching reliable work, which is good, because lately he's been finding his out-of-pocket costs for electronics creeping up. It's hard to explain; he's not especially clumsy and he doesn't live an especially reckless life, but sometimes it seems as if drives fail, circuits short, and screens go blank for him more often than they do for others.

  21. Aspect: Gremlin Lure
