  1. Amadeus brought out the very tools and other items he needed for the project that was at hand.
  2.
  3. It was time to reforge and repurpose Sunslammer into another form of the man's creation. The man looked towards Tiger, smiling a little.
  4.
  5. "For this, I need to completely work on everything from the hilt and up, so I need to remove the barrel from this gun, disconnect the blade in it's entirety from the whole thing, not to mention recalibrate the core to work with the Vermillion Flare core, and even make ammo for the gun."
  6.
  7. There was a Lot, but he hoped Tiger could help.
  8.
  9. "If anything I can use your help with gunpowder and ammo making."
  10. (Amadeus)
  11.
  12. "Gunpowder an' Shells?"
  13.
  14. "Well considering I keep my cannon well stocked.."
  15.
  16. The Captain grins, leaning against the bar as he snaps his fingers. Heavy footsteps reach the door moments later as it opens, One of the Fogfolk enters, big enough to be the Captains shadow and hold two large barrels on its shoulders.
  17.
  18. It places the two barrels down with heavy thunks and proceeds to vanish.
  19.
  20. "There's yer gun powder, Made, aged, ready T'blast."
  21.
  22. "As fer yer ammunittion…"
  23.
  24. "What we talkin here?"
  25. (Tigerseye Reave)
  26.
  27. The man was surprised with how fast Tiger could get the gunpowder, yet the man gave a nod over all. The question of what kind of ammo he was making he'd make it simple.
  28.
  29. "I was thinking a shotgun. Planned to make a bullet out of them. Most magi wear tough armor, or have high density shields. Though I'd go with a little bit of a come back with Steel slugs. Though, with my metal magic it wont be too hard to make more bullets when I think of a slug. Not to mention the use of it with some special add-ons, I could make something nice.
  30.
  31. Though that's all I could think of from a book I read. I knew I needed to make a gun so just a stop by the library got me a book on magic bullets. Some of crystals but I thought more practical would be nice. "
  32. (Amadeus)
  33.
  34. "Slugs ain't got much fer range.. Though depending on what ye'd fill shells with.. There are plenty O' Possibilities.."
  35.
  36. The Captain knew a fair but about guns despite his lack of being a crafter. After all he'd quite the passion for just about anything that went boom. He'd lean back pondering for a moment as he gazed upon the Barrels of black powder.
  37.
  38. "Right.. I ain't got the uh.. Delicacy to craft a shell casing.. Let alone one that wouldn't blow up in yer face."
  39. (Tigerseye Reave)
  40.
  41. Amadeus shoot his head a little bit.
  42.
  43. "I don't need the slugs to travel far. They just need to be accurate. After all, I'd rather hit my opponent and cripple them then give em a love tap with my new toy.
  44.
  45. Plus, I think I might want something to go boom after it leaves the gun. I have to make the casings with a metal that will keep up a normal heat for what the gun can hold for it's fire. After all, Its already hot. Loading a shot would just make it blow up when it entered the chamber. But maybe making the shells out of Orichalcum might be a nice idea. It will help control the magic in them before releasing the casing and then fire out before the heat detonates it......Actually...
  46.
  47. I can use an old rune I made during one of my rune classes. I made a piece of paper burn up. Maybe creating something for the shell can make it heat up and explode after a moment...like..."
  48.
  49. He was having a moment for this.
  50. (Amadeus)
  51. He nods, folding his arms as he tapped his chin with a finger.
  52.
  53. "Well.. Orich would be thin an' delicate enough fer the outer casing.. Though if ye make the endplate outta Tyrium and put a rune on th'hammer.."
  54.
  55. "Ye'd get a mighty reaction outta that."
  56.
  57. "Infact ye could use more experimental ammunition that way as well."
  58. (Tigerseye Reave)
  59.
  60. Amadeus was glad to have Tiger around, his knowledge of this was very helpful.
  61.
  62. "Yes, I think that will work perfectly. I just need to make everything right. Though for that. Can I leave you to fill the ammo with the black powder when I'm done with the casing and engravings?"
  63. (Amadeus)
  64. Amadeus rolled a dice and it landed on: 6
  65. Amadeus nodded back, but from his state of mind, he looked towards the blade in it's entirety. It was made of Arcanium, but it was bigger then normal. The sheer size gave Amadeus the idea of reusing it, but he'd have to detatch it from the main body. Luckily for him, he was a metal magi, so the splitting the blade from the main part was easy, what wasn't was that the weapon didn't want it to be gone for long before it started failing. This weapon was a unique craft, so he needed to treat it like one.
  66.
  67. For that, Amadeus decided to leave the arcanium as a hunk of metal at the back of the hilt, forcing it to shrink a little before going towards the hilt to open the visible lid.
  68.
  69. The lid hid away the core used for the weapon, but Amadeus was already accustomed to the damn thing's heat, so it never bothered him. The core itself was a simply a focusing power, able to unleash the heat in a singular attack. But for Amadeus, he wanted to fire not just a singular blast of energy. No, he wanted to be quicker, able to fire out powerful shots in quick succession. With one core, Amadeus would fire a single shot, but with the Vermillion Flare core, he'd be able to fire off maybe 2 or even 3 shots from the load.
  70.
  71. In his thoughts, Amadeus simply 'added' the secondary core to the already existing core, able to make it at least function a little faster. Yet the Vermillion Flare core would be able to hold those charges that Amadeus uses and then uses a secondary system to fire the gun. One core for pure magical blasts, another for another system, allowing the ammo he uses to keep up with itself.
  72.
  73. The Vermillion core was placed in a bit of space between itself, the previous core and where the hammer would go. This made Amadeus think. With Tyrium being needed for the hammer with a rune on it, Amadeus remembered the 'collars' that he made before, letting him think about how it can form a wireless connection between two connectors.
  74.
  75. Since the core could suck the flames in, it could be used like a battery, able to take in the heat from other fire sources and used for power, only to transfer it to his next shot. This made Amadeus grin.
  76.
  77. The thought of the gun not only taking his heat, both others made him swell with happiness, but why wouldn't it?
  78.
  79. Amadeus took out that of a singular Tyirum ingot, mimicking the hammer that was already in place from sight before fixating the hammer into place. He just wanted to make sure it'd fit with no issues. (roll6:) There was no issues with the hammer, infact it was a perfect fit, as if it was never removed. Amadeus was impressed with even himself, only to take out a small carving knife, taking the time to etch in a few small runic symbols used for collars, able to 'transfer' power from one source to another, almost in a sense of wirelessly.
  80.
  81. "Hey Tiger, How much black powder should each shell have?"
  82. (Amadeus)
  83. "Just enough t'kickstart what ye want t'launch.."
  84.
  85. "Sos.. Depends on how heavy yer slug is gonna be an what it's made of."
  86.
  87. He'd watch Amadeus at work, handling the Gun powder as the pirate prepared it for loading. Infusing his own little touch into the powder itself.
  88.
  89. "So's.. Really that's another one that's up to ye, heh."
  90. (Tigerseye Reave)
  91.
  92. He thought, giving it to consideration, he'd think about the type of shot, but he shook his head as he thought about it just being a Slug rounds. Though he'd keep the idea simple.
  93.
  94. "Slug rounds still, but lets just make it easier on ourselves. Though, mind tossing me that revolver you have? I want to make the barrel similar"
  95. (Amadeus)
  96. Tigerseye reaches into his belt and pulls a revolver out, tossing it towards Amadeus.
  97. (Tigerseye Reave)
  98.
  99. Amadeus takes the revolve when it was thrown to him
  100. (Amadeus)
  101. Amadeus looked at the revolver, yet he got the hammer bit already. he just needed to make the chamber for hammer to hit the casing and shoot the round. From that point, Amadeus used his metal magic to send his own mana towards the Arcanium from what 'use' to be the blade, only to reform it into a similar shape as the revolver.
  102.
  103. However, one the first try it was 'way' to narrow. He had to make it a lot wider to fit the slug rounds for the shotgun. Not to mention the handle, yet he only made the base of it out of Arcanium. Yet, he made it specifically so that part of the barrel wasn't Arcanium, but Mythril from the hilt, so that the slugs wouldn't ignite on their own before getting the mana from the arcanium down the line.
  104.
  105. From that point, Amadeus drew the rune needed for transfer of power to the hammer, slotting it in before removing the sigil on the gun from 'sunslammer' the gun was then being made his own, even copying the'ancient' runes in such a way from the metal he got from the Osronan raid, only to redo them on the barrel on the gun.
  106.
  107. He at least studied the metal enough to tell that it held properties of sunshine or at least holding mana in itself. For that, the Arcanium would hold mana inside of that upper part of the barrel, yet the gun wouldn't use 'sunlight'. Amadeus added in a few more runes, turning the light into fire, giving a mild change to the gun as, when given mana, it would burn like a fireplace with a nice esthetic that made him shiver in joy. Was this what it felt like to enjoy building your craft? This wasn't the first time this happened, it just seemed to be the best case of it all.
  108.
  109. Though, with the cores linked up to the barrel, Amadeus smirked. He grabbed the steel that he copied the runes of and instead of making it dull or putting it in a case, Amadeus grabbed the steel, turning it into a chain that he favored so much, just to wrap it tightly around the whole thing, making it look rather...demonic in a way. Though it fit him somewhat.
  110.
  111. The gun was only missing one part, the bullets. With the bullets, Amadeus was happy to have Tiger to help him with that part as he grabbed a few ingots of Orichalcum. Tiger said he should just put a rune on the hammer, but using Tyrium on the button of every casing would prove expensive. Instead he made the hammer out of Tyrium and made it connect with the core he had. This way the power would transfer to a single shot of flames, which could help with the bullet's output rather then just letting it go.
  112.
  113. For the shells, he made the outer casing out of Orichalcum, and then asked Tiger to fill the bottom with black powder and then capped it off with a single small plate of Iron. It was thin and small so a single ingot was enough for a war. From that, he used a Steel slug round. They could take the heat more so and were cost affective. The shell was then topped off by a thin layer of Orichalcum before being taken and etched with that 'rune' he made in his runic class, simply giving an extra 'oomf' to the fire blast.
  114.
  115. With that, Amadeus was done with his newest creation. Yet, when he looked at it, it was wonderful. The sigil of old was gone, but he started to pull out that carving knife for fine details, only to etch an imbedded flame sigil on it's stock. A mark of Ignis. A mark of his own.
  116.
  117. "It's finally done...My...Acheron."
  118.
  119. His gun was complete and now? He let it rest for the night.
  120.
  121. (Amadeus)
