Old man at the park

    >Sitting on a park bench, it's a nice day
    >Watch a dozen or so fluffy ponies scamper around
    >An elderly gentleman sits down next to you
    >In his hand is a brown paper bag
    >He begins tossing small marshmallows out of it
    >The fluffies shuffle up to the bench and start eating
    >"Gewd nummies!" they say
    >The man laughs and looks at you
    >"I used to work with these critters when I was younger"
    >You nod at him
    >"I'd spend the whole day with them"
    >"Giving them food and lots of attention, they crave that"
    >He tosses more marshmallows out
    >"They're real clumsy, though, always making messes"
    >One of the ponies brushes the man's leg
    >"Fwufy wan mowe foodies, gif pwease" it says
    >He smiles, gives and it a marshmallow
    >The pony stuffs it in its mouth and walks away
    >"Your welcome" the man says
    >"...never changes, ponies in my day were selfish too"
    >"Yep, if I wasn't listening to their demands..."
    >He tosses the rest of the marshmallows out
    >"I was cleaning up after their accidents"
    >"Spent thirty years doing so, most people lasted four"
    >"It was honest work, built a decent life"
    >"Thanks for listening to an old fart prattle on"
    >The old man stands up
    >As he walks away, you look at the ponies
    >They're foaming at the mouth
    >Some are dead, others are having convulsions
    >You're pretty sure those weren't marshmallows
