  12. - The game does not show you your play time. You'll have to time your
  13. sessions manually if you want to keep track of it.
  14. - The game features very choppy scrolling.
  15. - Exp is divided among active party members.
  16. - The game is quite hard. I myself can't keep anyone other than Ness
  17. alive until I reach the end of the game (where it's easy to get the
  18. others to Lv99). Expect to see the game over screen a lot. The game
  19. over policy is the golden parachute.
  20. - HP gain is tied to Vitality and PP gain is tied to IQ. Unless your
  21. Vitality or IQ goes up, your HP and PP gains upon leveling up will be
  22. marginal or non-existent.
  23. - When Ness is between Lv16-75, he has a small chance (about 1%) of
  24. becoming Homesick after each battle (excluding instant wins). When he's
  25. Homesick, Ness is usually unable to act on his turn. To cure it, you
  26. need to talk to mom (either on the phone or in person).

  62. - When you start a new game, you'll go through the settings (set text
  63. speed to fast (Hayai)) and choose names for the characters and some other
  64. stuff (the last one being the name of the offensive spell Ness uses).
  65. - You'll start off with 20 bucks (+30 on your bank account) and the
  66. Cash Card, which is used to operate ATMs. Money from defeating enemies
  67. always goes directly to your bank account.
  68. - Each character has 14 slots of inventory space.
  69. - You can use L to talk to and examine stuff.
  70. - Go talk to Porky / Pokey near the site of the impact then return home.
  71. Later, answer the door and talk to mom.
  72. - The phone will ring as you try to leave. Calling your dad will allow
  73. you to save your game. Your dad will call you on your cell every two
  74. straight hours to pester you. Doesn't matter how you respond.
  75. - Talking to your sister Tracy allows you to access the storage (36 slots).
  76. - You'll want to level up a little first. Enemies have a habit of spawning
  77. in specific spots. You can easily get into battles right in front of your
  78. house. Just move a little right, then left.
  79. - Make your way to the meteor to find Porky's brother as well as Bunbuun.
  80. - Go talk to Porky's dad then get the Oto no Ishi from the dying Bunbuun
  81. (choose 'No').
  82. - From now on, you can run into the photographer in specific spots. These
  83. encounters have no impact on anything, though.
  84. - Make full use the butterflies. Catching one heals 20 PP to all characters.

  285. Rockets and certain tools and gadgets during battle. He can also fix
  286. broken (Kowareta) items when spending the night somewhere. Depending
  287. on the item, this requires that his IQ has reached a certain figure.
  288. - Talk to the guy on the first floor to get the Locker no Kagi. Try to
  289. use it on one of the lockers, then talk to him again. Use the machine
  290. to clear the lockers (3 items in total).
  291. - Start by getting some levels. Buy some Fuusen Gum from the woman at
  292. the store then talk to the monkey.
  293. - Talk to one of the NPCs in one of the huts by the lake / river and
  294. spend the night. Next, approach the water to get a ride from Tessie.

  505. you'll reach a room with a shadowy figure walking around. Talk to him
  506. and choose 'No' then talk to the other guy to get out. You should now
  507. be able to get past the guy with the mustache. Beat the statue and
  508. you're out.

  811. is at the very beginning of the futuristic area. The Starmen are not really
  812. dangerous, so you can do it with Ness solo (he'll more than likely reach
  813. Lv99 during the process). You need to avoid the Energy Robos, though, so
  814. if you see one, refresh. If you do encounter one, you should probably run
  815. away. Don't go too far away from the door. You can go east up until the
  816. bridge and down the ladder. You can easily get a pre-emptive on the Starmen
  817. by approaching them from the side. Getting the sword will likely take a
  818. couple of hours.
  819. - Once fixed, the Kowareta Rappa becomes the Defense Shower. It's hardly
  820. useful, so feel free to skip it.
