  1. [23:05] GMOwen The sun sets on another night…
  2. [23:06] GMOwen Phrine’s entrance into the working world is accepted with minimal incident; at least, one night later no one’s complaining all that much. YET. The other ladies open up their evening with some quiet time at home…
  3. [23:08] GMOwen [The current time is: 8:55 P.M.]
  4. [23:09] [PYG]Judith is bringing in some of the carpets after thoroughly dusting them outside.
  5. [23:11] Kalinka has co-opted the writing table, and is currently penning a letter. She's been quiet today, compared to the happy chatter of last night.
  6. [23:13] Leticia is busy making a sandwich, like a good lady.
  7. [23:15] [PYG]Judith passes by a busy-looking Kalinka, stopping.
  8. [23:15] [PYG]Judith "Oh, hello, Kalinka. I didn't realize you were around."
  9. [23:15] Leticia manages tuna salad with little bits of onion in it!
  10. [23:17] Leticia cuts it into four little triangles and brings it out, setting it beside Kalinka.
  11. [23:17] Kalinka jerks slightly, almost ruining the letter.
  12. [23:18] Leticia Ah, sorry-
  13. [23:18] Kalinka Ah! Eh, yes. Yes, am waiting for my dearest comrade's return.
  14. [23:19] GMOwen [Phrine so conveniently failed to mention to location of her new job, of if she even actually HAS one yet. She's just sort of... not here.]
  15. [23:19] Leticia takes her place next to Judith.
  16. [23:19] Kalinka blinks, and looks up, then around. Her eyes settle on the sandwich.
  17. [23:19] Kalinka ...This food-thing, it is for me?
  18. [23:21] Leticia It is. Please help yourself.
  19. [23:22] Kalinka Spasiba.
  20. [23:23] Kalinka smiles slightly, and proceeds to devour the thing with a little less grace than one would expect from girl that looks as young as she.
  21. [23:26] Kalinka finishes it off in record time, and reaches for a glass that isn't where she's used to having one.
  22. [23:26] Leticia How was it?
  23. [23:26] Kalinka frowns slightly, but shrugs internally.
  24. [23:26] Kalinka Mmf?
  25. [23:27] Kalinka swallows and nods.
  26. [23:27] [PYG]Judith realizes she has yet to put the carpets back in their proper place.
  27. [23:27] [PYG]Judith "Oh, I'll be right back."
  28. [23:28] Kalinka Was very edible, friend Leticia.
  29. [23:28] Kalinka Very good.
  30. [23:30] [PYG]Judith returns a little while later, all the carpets now returned in their proper places upstairs.
  31. [23:31] Leticia Thanks, Jude.
  32. [23:31] Leticia smiles.
  33. [23:32] [PYG]Judith "I can't let go of old habits, it seems."
  34. [23:34] Kalinka stays silent a little longer, and looks back at her letter before turning back to the two vampires. She's not really sure where the other non-vampire is, but these two will have to do.
  35. [23:35] Kalinka ...During this day, have you seen comrade Phrine?
  36. [23:35] [PYG]Judith scratches her head.
  37. [23:36] Leticia Well, I don't see much during the day as it is. But I haven't seen her, no.
  38. [23:36] [PYG]Judith "It really is quiet without her around."
  39. [23:36] Kalinka frowns at this comment for a minute, then grimaces.
  40. [23:36] [PYG]Judith "I thought she got a job, I was hoping she'd at least be back by now."
  41. [23:36] GMOwen [Not seeing Phrine all day is about par for the course, considering how much she gets lost. Still...]
  42. [23:37] Kalinka Ah. Yes, daylight... apologies. But you do not know of where she has gone?
  43. [23:38] Kalinka This is strange, no?
  44. [23:38] [PYG]Judith "That's what I'd like to know. All she told me was that she was looking for a job."
  45. [23:40] Leticia She probably has enough sense to have found a place to sleep for the day...
  46. [23:40] Kalinka is feeling worse and worse about not following her last night. Baba Yaga boil her eyes for getting so drunk!
  47. [23:41] Kalinka tries very hard not to look skeptically at Leticia, and only partially succeeds
  48. [23:42] Leticia Right?
  49. [23:42] GMOwen [If she didn't, she'd have burned up passed out in a field a LONG time ago. One wonders sometimes, though...]
  50. [23:43] Kalinka Your words, they are putting 'sense' and comrade Phrine in same breath.
  51. [23:43] Kalinka These words are words to make the fat man laugh.
  52. [23:45] [PYG]Judith "Well, we all seem quite worried. I don't suppose neither of you are opposed to the idea that we go look for her tonight?"
  53. [23:45] [PYG]Judith "At least try to."
  54. [23:46] Leticia I think that if we give her time, she'll come wandering back to Judith's arms... but if you go, I'll go with you.
  55. [23:47] Kalinka Agree with much vigor.
  56. [23:48] Kalinka stands up instantly.
  57. [23:48] Kalinka When shall we go and be leaving?
  58. [23:51] [PYG]Judith "It's still early evening."
  59. [23:52] [PYG]Judith "Are you sure you'll be okay sleeping late tonight, Kalinka?"
  60. [23:55] Kalinka For my dearest comrade, a sleepless week is not too long.
  61. [23:56] Kalinka says this confidently, then frowns a bit and mutters, as she looks down:
  62. [23:57] Kalinka ...And if there is no work soon to be done.
  63. [23:57] [PYG]Judith "Hmm?"
  64. [23:58] Kalinka ...Your kind drinks blood and lives long. But you must drink the blood.
  65. [23:59] Kalinka Like so, I must work if I am to live.
  66. [00:01] [PYG]Judith "Oh..."
  67. [00:02] [PYG]Judith "At any rate, shall we get ready to go then, Letty?"
  68. [00:04] Kalinka is already putting on her coat and suiting up. It's cold outside but at least there's some kind of atmosphere.
  69. [00:06] Leticia Yes, let's.
  70. [00:08] [PYG]Judith goes upstairs to get her coat.
  71. [00:08] Leticia fetches a jacket as well.
  72. [00:13] Kalinka is ready and waiting. Tap tap tap tap.
  73. [00:14] Leticia comes back down/
  74. [00:14] [PYG]Judith returns downstairs, straightening her hat.
  75. [00:14] Leticia Do you know where we should start looking?
  76. [00:15] [PYG]Judith "...Good question."
  77. [00:17] Kalinka Has she learned any skill?
  78. [00:18] Kalinka You are better knowing the ways of Phrine of now than I.
  79. [00:19] Kalinka is kind of bothered by that idea, after she speaks it.
  80. [00:20] [PYG]Judith "But that's sort of a problem too, in a way. Knowing her, she might have accepted the first job offered to her while she was wandering around."
  81. [00:20] [PYG]Judith "Regardless of it she could do it or not."
  82. [00:24] Leticia Oh that girl.
  83. [00:30] Leticia Now you're starting to get me worried.
  84. [00:30] Kalinka ...Does she have skill at anything?
  85. [00:31] Leticia ...
  86. [00:31] Leticia She's... very creative.
  87. [00:32] Kalinka smiles.
  88. [00:32] Leticia tilts her eyebrows upward.
  89. [00:33] Kalinka I see unspoken words. Has not changed much since then, it seems.
  90. [00:33] Leticia I doubt it.
  91. [00:33] GMOwen [The more things change, the more things stay the same...]
  92. [00:36] Kalinka Could start asking if people have seen pink hair girl.
  93. [00:36] Kalinka Is not exactly common sight.
  94. [00:39] [PYG]Judith "Let's be off then."
  95. [00:40] Kalinka leads the way.
  96. [00:42] Leticia follows.
  97. [00:45] [PYG]Judith shuts the door and locks up as the others get going.
