  1. [15:13] The lapine smiles, as he observes those who are attending. Solais standing tall behind him, with his glowing canopy stretching above them. A soothing comfortable aura enwraps those who are around, clashing with the usual temperatures of the desert. It is relaxing and peaceful, people could feel being reinvigorated.
  2.
  3. "Greetings everyone, and welcome to the first class of Wayfinding ! For those who don't know me, I am Svengalf Sandsker, Radiant of Alacritas, Coordinator of the Proto Institute, and man of many trades."
  4.
  5. He giggles, pointing towards the billboard nearby, as he resumes.
  6.
  7. "As written in my announcement, today it will be mainly some history and explanations on some Universe history, what is Wayfinding, the Lifestream, the risks and the dangers with it.
  8.
  9. But before we start, I would like all of you to present yourselves, and share the reasons on why you would like to learn the art of Wayfinding and how do you plan to use it ?"
  10.
  11. He nods towards the people present, smiling, and waiting.
  12.
  13. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. [15:16] "Mmm... history," Regalus seemed years younger than he is as he took up his whirled a white-ish pen about his fingers. It was as if back to the good old times when he was out hunting any knowledge he could grab.
  17.
  18. Then again, nothing much has changed... just that the paper has been worn down and the inkwell drying.
  19.
  20. "My name is Regalus, I plan to use Wayfinding...
  21.
  22. ...
  23.
  24. very carefully, hehe-"
  25. (Regalus)
  26. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27.
  28. [15:16] The vixen glanced up in the direction of the bunny, before speaking up in a fairly flat and almost sleepy sounding tone.
  29.
  30. "I'm Katrina Astalet. Minister of Trade and Entertainment for Prospera. I thought that wayfinding could be useful when it comes to speeding up trade routes. I happen to spend a lot of time traveling between various markets to keep track of prices."
  31.
  32. It was a very utilitarian purpose, but in her eyes there really wasn't much else of a reason to study the subject.
  33. (Katrina Astalet)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [15:18] As they went on to speaking the goblin was glad to see there was enthusiasm. It made him even more excited to study along with so many others. Sure reading alone was one way of gaining knowledge but even Iraark knew the boons of being around others when ideas and facts were flying about. The potential was almost endless here!
  37.
  38. Hearing Svengalf's instruction the little goblin would stand from his book, looking to the others for a moment and giving a little nod "Am Iraark. Will learn wayfinder because am to become great creator." and with that simple answer given he was sitting back down waiting on the history of Wayfinding as well as the lifestream!
  39. (Iraark)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [15:19] The lively assembly oriented itself around Solais, Svengalf finding a makeshift podium or stage in the shade of the majestic, convivially branching splendor of the massive tree.
  43.
  44. And it seemed to be about time for the lesson, Svengalf announcing the beginning of the class and introducing the topic to those that had gathered. But first, Svengalf also requested introductions from those present.
  45.
  46. Once Sytry might've found a polite opportunity or cue, he spoke up.
  47.
  48. "My name is Sytry." He stated brusquely, his tone flirting with indifference despite his apparent curiosity. "I am not interested in learning or using the art of Wayfinding. Rather, I'm here to simply learn about it that I may further develop my understanding of the lifestream."
  49. (Sytry)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [15:19] The Shrine Maiden known as Helena would give her usual deep bow, quick to get it out of the way as she spoke up:
  53.
  54. "I am Helena, Shrine Maiden. I seek this knowledge not only that I may further expand my learning, thus, my journey, yet also that I may guide lost or injured individuals to the safety of a medical clinic or the like. That my future endeavors as a healer and of the Faiths shall be made that much easier that I can find a way to help that many more in need of guidance."
  55.
  56. She clasped her hands together in front of her, holding them just in front of her mid-section: Helena remaining quiet beyond this for the time being.
  57. (Helena, Shrine Maiden)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [15:20] Looking to Sleet she nods to him before looking back up to Svengalf. She had seen and heard of the man but never truly met him. None the less she stood quiet till he said to present themselves.
  61.
  62. She waited to speak. She was sort of embarrassed that her reason for wanting to learn may not be as 'cool' as others but oh well. Finally as other spoke up she finally did too.
  63.
  64. "I am Rosemary Okabe. The daughter to the commander of Delphina."
  65.
  66. She smiles with a slight nod and then speaks again.
  67.
  68. "As for my reason to learn its because i like learning. I want to be able to travel easier without some of the risk that comes with traveling by foot."
  69.
  70. Another smile came as she looks up awaiting the first part of the lesson.
  71. (Rosemary Okabe)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [15:26] "im Nera. im not learning im watching. ist Always noice to see my fellow clasmate who learnt with nera the arts of wayfining and is now teachings"
  75.
  76. nera would smile before bowing
  77.
  78. "as a fellow wayfinder nera simply is watching and is exicted to see the youth learn this beuatfiull YET dangernous magic….and i hope you all stop after the lesson at the star bar for some good meals and Drinks!"
  79. (Nera)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [15:26] The goblin gazed onwards towards the towering tree they'd named Solais. It was one of the largest he'd ever seen and frankly? it wasn't natural that it was, of all places, out here in the desert. As if the thing had sucked the life from the surrounding lands and created the desert itself. Ridiculous of course no tree could do that! With a snort the little guy shooks his head, ears flopping. It did not good to worry about the tree of all things! He was here to learn about Wayfinding after all.
  83.
  84. Amber jewels flickered away from the tree and settled upon Sandsker. Finding the name fitting for a person who lived out in the desert. Right, they were speaking what were they saying? Something about history and wanting the gathered students to introduce themselves and explain why they were they wished to learn? Made sense, couldn't just teach people how to teleport across the world without some vetting.
  85.
  86. That honeyed gaze of his shifted awayfrom the elder Lapine and sweept around the gathered group of students. Listing to them speak first and foremost, after all they probably had a better idea of what to say than he did, having never partaken of formal education himself.
  87.
  88. With a jolt of energy the young goblin leapt to his feet kicking up dust in the motion. With an exaggerated stretch to his full eight he jerked a thumb to his chest. "Name's Sugarfoot! Thats Sugarfoot, one word! As for why I'm here?"
  89.
  90. He paused for a moment more so to absorb his own grandiose delusions. "I want to become the greatest foot in history and this should help me achieve that!"
  91.
  92. "That's a thief for you tall-folk, no not some brainless bandit either. So don't get confused!" It was a truthful statement at the very least. "Besides, seemed like a good idea to learn about the surface-world and stuff."
  93. (Sugarfoot)
  94. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  95.
  96. [15:26] * You have been awarded 6 Levels! *
  97. [15:28] Sleet looks around and seeing that everyone already introduced themselves, he does so as well.
  98.
  99. "Hi. My name is Sleet. Initiate of Nereides, Student of Maliyah, Artficer that works for Uranus Okabe and a fledgling medic." He covered everything, the basics, no?
  100.
  101. He nods to Rose in response before his focus is entirely on Svengalf. "When I saw you doing it in the class room, I realized it looked like the stories of portals wayfinding can open. I asked your daughter and she confirmed. My reasons are... odd I suppose."
  102.
  103. What did he mean by that? "Wayfinding doesn't just allow you to move on this continent... it also lets you move throughout as long as you know what you are doing. I am interested in Wayfinding due to its nature and freedom of traveling. With it, it would be far easier to search for the answers I seek."
  104.
  105. He then stops there and adds, "My reason for Wayfinding is probably to use it as a means to find runes that will allow me to do something my Clan wishes to do. I'll leave it at that."
  106. (Sleet)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [15:36] Regalus looks over to Akroma. She's safe... right?
  110. (Regalus)
  111. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  112.
  113. [15:36] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Oh gods, I'm being turned into a robot."
  114. [15:36] Akroma S. Pradesh exclaims, "Save me!"
  115. [15:37] Once everyone was done with their presentations, the lapine smiles to each present, nodding once everyone finishes their presentation. He was satisfied with such crowd, all gleefull on his expression. He continues :
  116.
  117. "Good ! Among the reasons, I notice a lot of you wishes either for easier travel, wanderlust, Freedom. Some would prefer rather to understance the science behind to include into other projects. Some would prefer helping others to travel safely. Or some just want to widen their knowledge."
  118.
  119. He takes a small pause to rebreathe, as he continues.
  120.
  121. "When I wanted to learn Wayfinding, it was indeed to travel more easily in between settlements to avoid the roads infested with the patrols of the Fel, during the time Sheol was known as Gluttony's Maw when Lyseroth was alive. It was in the intention to help escorting others to safety, as at this age I was not a combattant at all. So I could still provide help for the logistic."
  122.
  123. A smile is given, as he peeks towards Solais, then back to the students.
  124.
  125. "Now that everyone is presented, take a seat, either on the grass or on a root, relax, listen and take notes if needed. It will be a lot of talk !"
  126.
  127. Clearing his throat, he starts.
  128.
  129. "Before we talk about Wayfinding, we have to return back in the time to understand how was the world before.
  130.
  131. At the very Beginnings of the Creation. Where the Universe was only a blank easel of absolute white. Except for the divine chromatic dragons, divine beasts, and the Constants.
  132.
  133. On the awakening of the Divine Dragons and Beasts, the phenomenon known as the ''Dance of Colors'' created the different physical elements of the Universe, as the Land, the Oceans, the Planets, the Stars and so on.
  134. The Constants in the other hand, placed upon this universe different unseen Laws, fundamentals for the stability of the Universe. Such as Space, Time, Life, Death, Hope and Despair.
  135.
  136. Together, they have created the world as we know. But in particular, we are interested in two specific entities : The Divine Dragon Nyssa and the Constant of Life Alacritas. By imbuing their powers together, Mana and Life, they created the blood of the Universe : The Lifestream.
  137.
  138. With the Lifestream, the souls were born, along with nature and all sources of Life. Without it, we wouldn't be there. No animals, no vegetation, the whole universe would be dry and barren."
  139.
  140. He marks a pause, before turning back towards Solais. He points towards the leylines glowing on the bark of Solais.
  141.
  142. "The Lifestream itself is usually invisible through our eyes. But sometimes, it can manifest physically in potent convergence points, like you can see there upon Solais.
  143. Can you feel the warmth within reaching you ? Your tiredness being brushed away? The pain dimmed? All of this living energy around us?"
  144.
  145. He returns back, smiling.
  146.
  147. "Another example of convergence points we can see, is up in the cosmos, as some of the stars are convergence points to the Lifestream. You can imagine the Lifestream being like blood vessels of the universe, irrigating the world with Life.
  148.
  149. Now, does anyone have any questions in regards to the Lifestream ? Do not be afraid, as knowing and feeling what is the Lifestream will be important later when we will be casting the portals on the next class !"
  150.
  151. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  152. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  153.
  154. [15:42] There was a lot of information being given to start. Iraark did his best to keep up, but even with his study of the meranthe language for so many years now he still had trouble writing it at such fast speeds especially when translating it back to his own language.
  155.
  156. The information given was helpful and it began to widen his view and knowledge of the lifestream. Still it was coming to the goblin a bit confusingly and because of such he'd go on to asking "Lifestream can be felt..?" his hand would go up and he'd make a fist as if reaching for something. "Can actually touch lifestream? Does mean lifestream is all around?"
  157. (Iraark)
  158. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  159.
  160. [15:43] Helena, Shrine Maiden would give a small bow of her head as if to indicate that she were bowing out of the notion of having any questions at this time. The Shrine Maiden evidently opting to remain silent.
  161. (Helena, Shrine Maiden)
  162. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  163.
  164. [15:45] Katrina also seemed to be waiting to see what other people asked, before speaking up herself. Possibly in the interest of not wasting too much time, as this was a very crowded class.
  165. (Katrina Astalet)
  166. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  167.
  168. [15:47] Following the rotation of answers from the audience regarding whom they were and what they sought, Svengalf seemed pleased and proceeded with the lesson.
  169.
  170. As a teacher and guide, Svengalf clearly possessed a strong understanding of what he expounded, delivering his discourse extemporaneously without the aid of a board or notes to follow. Sytry listened, impressed with the lapine's comprehension of the subject.
  171.
  172. Once Svengalf had finished his explication and opened the forum for questions, Sytry introspected upon what he had heard for a moment as he also listened to the other questions in attendance that were called out from the crowd.
  173.
  174. "I have heard it said that the lifestream runs from Alacritas to Mortyl in its passage. Would the lifestream itself be considered a point of convergence between the two realms, then?" Sytry posited once there was an appropriate space to interject within the discussion, "And if you are able to answer this as well, where might one learn more about the divine dragon, Nyssa?"
  175. (Sytry)
  176. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  177.
  178. [15:48] Much of what Svengalf has said has been long written, amidst the many papers of his book. Still, a reminder is not unwanted and he writ down once more key points that he had said.
  179.
  180. Of most interest to him, however, was the questions to be posed by others and the answers that may come from them. It is this that Regalus awaits.
  181. (Regalus)
  182. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  183.
  184. [15:57] Sugarfoot crossed his legs as he dropped to the ground. Creating a small dust cloud about himself as he did so and returned to the comfortable style of cross-legged sitting. Sure it wasn't exactly good for leaping to his feet or moving swiftly but it was comfortable.
  185.
  186. Focusing his mind ont he task at hand he found the man delving into a rather deep and lengthy explanation of the universe's creation. Something that the young goblin had never even considered before. With a soft whistle the nimble-fingered lad picked up a pencil and notebook he'd pilfered a while back.
  187.
  188. He quickly began to jot down some notes to go along with the lesson itself. Attempting to fully grasp and understand what was being discussed. He wasn't going to be lazy about it, no sir no how. Even if it did seem a little boring and he'd rather be out running in the field. Jotting down a few quick notes to help him get a good handle of the topic.
  189.
  190. 1. In the beginning of creation the universe was a blank-canvas. It was white in color and expansive without measure. Sleeping Divine Dragons, Beasts, and Constants.
  191.
  192. 2. Then the Divine Dragons and Divine Beasts awoke. They had a dance with each other and created the colors which painted the foundation work of creation.
  193.
  194. 3. These foundations where the Lands, Oceans, Stars. These then interacted with the constant forces of Sppace, Time, Life, Death, Hope, and Despair. Sheesh, talk about grim why was Death already there?
  195.
  196. 4. All this created the world but only two entities matter for Wayfinding. The Divine Dragon Nyssa and the Constant of Life Alacritas. They danced together and created mana and life. They must be dancing still because that's the Lifestream.
  197.
  198. 5. Lifestream is invisible but all around us. Sometimes you can see it in convergence points, like Solais. Oh, the tree pulses life and wipes away weariness. Could be a way to find more convergent points? Oh! Stars are one too.
  199.
  200. Setting the pencil to the side Sugarfoot felt quite studious and imagined that he'd be quite fetching in a billowing robe and pointy hat.
  201.
  202. His gaze flicked upwards then as he heard the request for questions. "I do have a few questions! Like are we about the lifestream? I mean I don't feel like I'm swimming but I'm alive enough."
  203.
  204. "Ah, right also can we swim in it like a river? Mhm... So are Alacritas and Nyssa still dancing and that's why the lifestream keeps going?"
  205.
  206. "If they stopped would we die? Oh! Do they ever get tired?" Questions spilled from betwixt thin lips as the goblin let asked rather loudly and obnoxiously at that. Lacking distinct focus and almost rambling them as they came to his mind.
  207. (Sugarfoot)
  208. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  209.
  210. [15:58] Nera whispers something.
  211. [15:58] Nera whispers something.
  212. [16:00] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Argos, what do you mean by ''converge naturally'' ? I am not sure how to respond to such."
  213. [16:02] After everything is said and done, Sleet has no answers as he leans against a pillar. He had been delving into the books of his Clan, and going through folk lore. But some of that is not unknown to him. He had been studying and researching.
  214.
  215. While he is an Initiate, and he is primarily to Inki and Yama, he still had read some folklore about Liveyal's actions. Specifically that, its believed she uttered a prayer to Yama -and- to the divine beings still watching over Eternia. This made him realize that perhaps, most likely, he would have to learn on the other gods that are not occult or corrupt base.
  216.
  217. Such as Nemea or Juweihu. But he wasn't sure if he'd want to learn about all of them as it seems to be a lot of information. Either way he has not a single question, preferring to listen and wait for when he does come across something that does confuse him. After all he isn't perfect, he got confused in the medic class itself.
  218.
  219. But he was trying to do better.
  220. (Sleet)
  221. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  222.
  223. [16:03] Sleet meant that there are no questions to be made.
  224. (Sleet)
  225. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  226.
  227. [16:04] Nera whispers something.
  228. [16:05] Nera whispers something.
  229. [16:09] The lapine turns towards Iraark, he offers a nod. He raises one hand towards Solais, as an emeraldine glow with hints of Silver enshroud it. The orb of energy then approaches towards Iraark : it releases a comforting warmth, kindling a sensation of care and kindness, as the mote was blessed with the goodwill of his faith.
  230.
  231. "The Lifestream may be invisible, but it is a force present in the world, yes. Whenever someone prays for you, or even when you are within the nature, or close to Solais, this revigorating sensation is thanks to the Lifestream.
  232.
  233. Imagine the Lifestream like a campfire : afar, it provides warmth.
  234. But if you touch the flames? You will burn yourself.
  235.
  236. The Lifestream is also a purifying force when you are in direct contact with it, thus why precaution must be taken when you are handling raw sources of such."
  237.
  238. At the question of Sytry, he offers a nod asside to comment further.
  239.
  240. "For further context on why it is a purifying force, perhaps some of you have heard of the Renewal Cycle ? Like mentionned, our souls are made from the Lifestream. As we are born, our soul gather an ''essence'', which is your spirit where your memories, personnality and experiences are stored. And once we die, our soul is ferried back to the Lifestream, where the essence will be cleansed a new for our soul to be reborn again.
  241.
  242. The reason I am mentionning this, is because to practice wayfinding, we will be travelling directly inside the currents of the Lifestream. Without preparation ? Your essence may be cleansed on the travel, which is equivalent to die at this point."
  243.
  244. Then, he returns fully to Sytry.
  245.
  246. "Alacritas and Mortyl are indeed related together. It's thanks to the Renewal Cycle that the Lifestream is in perpetual motion.
  247.
  248. As for the question if the Lifestream connects the realms together, yes. I will explain why after. Bear in mind, that the Lifestream is a force omnipresent in the universe, beyond our realm."
  249.
  250. Towards Sugarfoot, he looks amused. He listens to the questions before nodding.
  251. "Yes... imagine like we will be diving in the Stream through the magic we will learn to cast.
  252.
  253. Well Nyssa and Alacritas already have created the Lifestream. While it is in constant growth altough, what makes the ''stream'' flow is the renewal cycle.
  254. If people could not die, then the stream would be stagnant, unable to irrigate the world and thus making it barren. And same if people could not be born, then nothing would encourage the Lifestream to move."
  255.
  256. A small pause before returning to Argos, to combine his thought with Sugarfoot.
  257. "As for why we have convergence points then, it is like our veins and arteries. There are some concentrations where the Lifestream is more potent, so it spreads further. Just like Solais.
  258.
  259. Before the events of Ragnarok, more than 40 years ago, Solais was not born. And before Solais, the region where we stand currently was barren and devoid of nature. Without Solais here, you would not see the grass, nor the flowers. And nor the climate would be gentle here, compared to the depth of the Silent Expense.
  260.
  261. When the Lifestream is weak, it leads to barren landscapes where Life doesn't not grow. Or even worse : if the Lifestream is stagnant, it's also more susceptible to be corrupted in presence of overwhelming occultic energy, like the Shadowlands."
  262.
  263. He clears his throat after such long explaination, before adding as a remark.
  264.
  265. "While this is not directly involved with Wayfinding, it will be important to understand the nature and the science on how our world is created and how it works.
  266.
  267. Does anyone have any more question?"
  268. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  269. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  270.
  271. [16:10] The Kitsune woman would simply listen along, taking in the information from each question asked and each answer given.
  272. (Helena, Shrine Maiden)
  273. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  274.
  275. [16:13] Sytry nods, content with Svengalf's answers to his and the others' questions respectively.
  276.
  277. "Thank you." Sytry uttered, his attention entirely upon the lesson at hand as he awaited Svengalf to continue.
  278. (Sytry)
  279. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  280.
  281. [16:14] Svengalf Sandsker says, "As for your question for Nyssa, you can find Arnet Dawnseeker at the Citadel, she is a Priestess of the Four Divine Dragons."
  282. [16:14] Okay a question came up.
  283.
  284. "I am confused. If its a purifying force why does it then harm you like your campfire analogy?"
  285.
  286.
  287. (Sleet)
  288. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  289.
  290. [16:15] Scribble, scribble, scribble.
  291.
  292. Katrina had pulled out her own very well worn notebook in the middle of this, scratching things down on the pages as she nodded her head before briefly speaking up.
  293.
  294. "I suppose I have one question. I have heard people talk about damage to the Lifestream. Is the Lifestream a finite and limited force? Will damage done to it naturally repair over time, or is it permanent? How can such damage and corruption happen in the first place, and what are the effects of it?"
  295.
  296. That was...
  297.
  298. A little bit more then one question, but that is just how things went sometimes! Those purple eyes glanced up as the kitsune waited on the answer, fluffy ears twitching.
  299. (Katrina Astalet)
  300. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  301.
  302. [16:16] So much was coming together now for the goblin. Previous questions they had been thinking when studying alone finally answered. He was able to add more to his notes as well as have a far greater understanding of the life stream than he had before. The questions the others were asking was a help as well as some of the things they asked wasn't even thought of by the little goblin.
  303.
  304.
  305. As of now he would still be writing and simply listening. His questions were done for the time being and the information gathered from others questions seemed to be enough.
  306. (Iraark)
  307. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  308.
  309. [16:17] Slotting neatly into place, 'Elys' joins ranks with the rest of those who would learn, though her interest isn't in wayfinding itself. Head casts itself upwards; expression blank and dead. She says naught. Does not, save listen. There is no movement that would otherwise betray signs of life.
  310.
  311. Their irids glow and pulse, each portion turning alight in sequence, absorbing everything that's said in either direction.
  312.
  313. While much of the information is simply catalogued away as trivia for later, there is a question itching the circuits. The moment questions are being taken, her hand rises, as a noisome, mechanical 'Ping!' emanates from within the depths of their body.
  314.
  315. "Query: This unit is aware of the effects the 'Lifestream' has on those it deems deleterious or malignant to its own nature.
  316.
  317. This one asks: What does it do to those that fall into neither category? But are simply other? What if the entity in question was born and raised in a space separate from this realm and evolved without a need for it.
  318.
  319. Would it also seek to 'purify' this theoretical entity?"
  320.
  321. Stated in utter monotone. Nary a hint of cadence to voice. Expression blank and dead.
  322. (Elys)
  323. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  324.
  325. [16:23] Nera begann to dance around quietly. the eldery felaine simply doing cat things
  326. (Nera)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [16:27] Sugarfoots ears twitched as he listened to the explanations for the others questions. It was interesting of course and helped to shape a little of how he viewed things. It made sense that life unfiltered would be too intense for most people to interact with as the answer to Iraak, another goblin look at that! Pointed out.
  330.
  331. Then came Sytry, which Sugarfoot thought was a funny name, asked. Explaining that it was in essence the force of all things good and pure. Though the idea of the lifestream just 'cleansing' their souls of everything that made them unique was a little disquieting for Sugarfoot. It wasn't until Sandsker clarified that you could learn ways to protect yourself from that cleansing effect that those floppy ears perked up. Oh? Interesting, interesting.
  332.
  333. As Sandsker answered his questions though? Sugarfoot snatched up his pen and jotted down those answers and the questions as well.
  334.
  335. 6. Nyssa and Alacritas are in harmony with Mortyl, Death, and its the trio's work and actions which help to keep the stream of life flowing. Without death the cycle would break.
  336.
  337. "Wait cycle? So does the lifestream flow into itself over and over and over and over again forever?"
  338.
  339. The question was shot quickly without much deeper thought beofre he blinked. Flicking his amber hues back down to his notebook. Right where was he?
  340.
  341. 7. Lifestream is a purifying force that wipes away the detri- detrib- garbage around the soul. You have to learn how to protect your soul garbage in order to stay safe while swimming through the stream.
  342.
  343. His head bobbed along with the writing, amazed at his own skillful proise. Then flicking back up he listened to the story of Ragnarök, no clue what that is, and Solais. It was over forty years ago so it didn't matter anyways.
  344.
  345. Ah! He squeezed a sentence to the side of his paper. Solais created the oasis! It did NOT kill everything around it for its own growth. Mystery solved.
  346.
  347. 8. A weak lifestream will be reflected in the physical world by the environment appearing sparse and without vegetation. No lifestream, no life. Simply idiot.
  348.
  349. 9. Stagnant lifewater creates places like the Shadowlands. Big, way big, bad news.
  350.
  351. Without even looking up he spoke again interrupting others perhaps. "Yes! If you're in lifewater areas, er I mean stagnant lifestream places, can you still go swimming? Like, if you dive in won't you wind up staying in the same place cause the water's not moving?"
  352.
  353. It was only after he realized that Sandsker had said something about this not effecting Wayfinding. Still, Sugarfoot felt like it really should effect things.
  354. (Sugarfoot)
  355. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  356.
  357. [16:29] The Doctor comes to a screeching halt, late as she could be to the lessons. She was probably stuck in another person's ribcage while in the wilds knowing her. "S-Sorry...Sorry."
  358. (Galena Altha)
  359. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  360.
  361. [16:32] Sugarfoot exclaims, "Hey old lady... PSSST, c'mere!"
  362. [16:32] Nera asks, "Hmm?"
  363. [16:33] Sugarfoot whispers to Nera: Know the straggler?
  364. [16:34] Nera whispers: the whoo?....can you descibe em?
  365. [16:34] Regalus says, "Don't be rude to Nera. "
  366. [16:34] Sugarfoot whispers to Nera: That one in the red that was late? I have fantastic notes. Figured you old folks would be friends.
  367. [16:34] The lapine turns towars Sleet.
  368.
  369. "Purifying, in like, it purges everything. All of your memories, experiences, emotions, if you let the Lifestream wash over you ? You will forget it.
  370.
  371. This is why satistically, elder magi who are attuned to Lifestream influenced magic, like Cosmic magic, are more susceptible to memory issues.
  372.
  373. While medically, cosmic magic can Indeed help purging mental debiliations, too much application can cause more damage."
  374.
  375. Towards Katrine, she replies.
  376.
  377. "The Lifestream, as like a living being, is always growing and expanding, at a slow pace. Just like ourselves, if we have a minor cut, the Lifestream can slowly recover. Fairies for example, imagine them as like antibodies helping to repair the Lifestream.
  378.
  379. Altough, if someone makes a huge severance on the Lifestream, causing a drought of its energy to irrigate the region ? You will have the Shadowlands.
  380. This is why the practice of Riftmancy and Necromancy are forbidden and taboo, as both these practices either damage the Lifestream, or seek to empty it."
  381.
  382. He turns towards Elys now. That was an interesting question. He took some time to think about it.
  383. "Mmh. That's hard to tell. The Lifestream affects any living thing. Be it a plant, an animal, a human, a soul, whatever. Every living thing able to think for itself has a soul, weak or strong. Even flowers are living people like us to an extent.
  384.
  385. So if said entity respects these conditions, then yes, the Lifestream would be effective on them."
  386.
  387. Towards Sugarfoot, he nods.
  388.
  389. "Yes, that's how the Renewal Cycle works. Souls are made in the Lifestream, then born into the physical world, then once they die, they return to the Lifestream and it repeats.
  390.
  391. And yes... in places where the Lifestream is weak... it can be harder to travel through. When the Island of Blood Rose became the Fel Garden, my portal could no longer work there.
  392.
  393. Altough with the help of Holy magic, you can help the Lifestream to be repaired, and flowing again. Alone it can be hard, but with a whole group ? It may be possible to help the Lifestream flowing again in these places if you purify the taint."
  394.
  395. A smile is given.
  396.
  397. "I think that's everything ? Should we continue to the next part?"
  398. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  399. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  400.
  401. [16:35] Nera whispers: OHHH stragler AHH hm her she...is a healer at gloomlight if nera rembers coorectly?
  402. [16:38] Nera says, ".......pffft sven is worngt....my brain been mess cine i was...teeen!...hehehehe"
  403. [16:38] Nera exclaims, "Or he is right....unsure!"
  404. [16:40] Nera says, "But fact is stars and comsic cleanse. stuff well."
  405. [16:46] Sleet says, "Hmm..."
  406. [16:47] Sleet says, "Wy do the others want to harm the lifestream if it equates death to them as well."
  407. [16:47] Nera says, "Caus epoeple a re stupid"
  408. [16:47] Nera says, "...and dont think of the bigger picture."
  409. [16:48] Sleet asks, "I mean why would I practice necromancy or riftmancy, sever the lifestream and kill my own self. I thought those people were all about self survival, egotistical. Yet they are such morons that they want to damage it all? For what?"
  410. [16:49] Sugarfoot whispers to Nera: Why thank you! That means I can trade the notes for stuff.
  411. [16:49] Regalus says, "There are those who seek life beyond the lifestream... for themselves... for others."
  412. [16:50] Sugarfoot looked to Regalus then back to the older woman he was talking to realizing they must be Nera! Learning new things, had they intrroduced themselves earlier? Yea, they had but he'd been daydreaming at the time. Looking back to Regalus he'd offer a lopsided smile and nod. In a sure, yea sorry about that chief, kinda expression.
  413. (Sugarfoot)
  414. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  415.
  416. [17:03] Nera asks, "Whoo asked for eggs?"
  417. [17:03] Nera exclaims, "........eggs i have whispery voice!"
  418. [17:04] Sleet looks over to Nerea. "I believe that was Rose's brother, Astra. But he left."
  419. (Sleet)
  420. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  421.
  422. [17:05] Sugarfoot had learned a bit about those around him. Nera was insightful, a good contact even, perhaps she'd make a good fence when he needed to offload hot good? She'd be great at it decided the Sugaryfoot'd one, after all they'd that grandma energy about them. Even if they didn't look that old.
  423.
  424. Though all this didn't stop the spastic mind of Sugarfoot from also flicking those honey-hued eyes back to Sandsker as they spoke. An expert at the old game of paying attention while not paying attention. Splendidly dancing around the enlightened form of obliviouslessness that was a word, right?
  425.
  426. The answers kept rolling and some of them only confirmed what the big-eared green bean had presumed himself. Though he found the statistics horrible dull! Who cared about old guys losing their memories? They should be happy a rock didn't fall from the ceiling and kill them in the mines if anything.
  427.
  428. Sugarfoot looked to his fellow students and for the most part found them normal! Except several of them had that monotone, too cool to care, attitude. Which amusingly did make them seem cooler to the youthful goblin. Who for a few moments attempted to deaden his expression and appear more stoic. Ears flitting backwards like the wings of a Hawk diving for prey, a purse to the lips that showed off just a few jagged teeth, and a narrowing of those piercing honey-hued eyes.
  429.
  430. The question that stumped Sandsker? Yeah, you can bet your bottom dollar that Sugarcap wrote that down. Except rather than the sporadic jotting he would carefully pen the querry and revelation it gained.
  431.
  432. 10. What if something is born beyond the lifestream would the lifestream try and purify it? If said thing had a soul or worked along the principles of creation than the answer is yes the Lifestream could purify it.
  433.
  434. Then came the various answers to his own questions and these resulted in a bobbing of Sugarfoots head. Except it was a cool measured sort of bobbing, not the erratic spasms of a tweaked out monkey.
  435.
  436. "Quite so, very good. Just as I hypa-hypothess- Thought, yes, quite. Indeed." He brought the pencil to his chin and made an exaggerated humming sound before gesturing towards Sandkser. "Please continue, Sandkser. I am eager to..." He blinked, eager wasn't cool. "I mean, whatever."
  437.
  438.
  439. (Sugarfoot)
  440. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  441.
  442. [17:08] A smile is given to Sugarfoot, pleased to have answered his questions.
  443.
  444. Towards Sleet, he comments :
  445. "Because the forces of the Fel are unable to create anything : they are the Antithesis of the Creation, rebelling against such. Thus, they only destroy, or seek to claim and corrupt what they are unable to do, and twist them to their own ideals.
  446. Those who whoship the Fel are desesperate, people who have lost all Hope to continue in the Life. And if they can not have this joy to live, then no one should get it
  447.
  448. To give an idea of such motivation.
  449. Altough, we are none of this when practicing Wayfinding. More to come about it after."
  450.
  451. The lapine nods, continuing :
  452.
  453. "Good. So now that we know about the Lifestream is everywhere around us and how it affects our world, we can continue on to the next chapter : The creation of the Pantheon, notably Chireus.
  454.
  455. Before humanity was created, the universe was one single realm, where the divines, spirits, and other creatures were living in peace. It was until Despair took shape of Moros, in its goals of conquering the realm for their personal ambitions of domination. Humanity was created during this war, until Pylae sealed Moros into Helheim as we know today. Humanity had to survive against the remaining corrupted Primordials left by this war.
  456.
  457. But to help Humanity in their favor, the Constant of Space, Amier, split himself into 10 different Primordials : the Pantheon as we know today in Meranthe.
  458.
  459. In which at this time, different realms started to be created. The most notable example is Helheim told previously, created to seal Hel Inside. Along with the other elemental realms, like Teraheim, to seal the rogue corrupted primordials left.
  460.
  461. The Spirit World was no longer the lone realm.
  462.
  463. One of the Primordials created is Chireus, called the Messenger of the Pantheon. A winged aviary beast with chromatic feathers, that could fly faster than the light and reach any places of the Universe in one blink of an eye to deliver and transmit messages between Humanity and the other Divines. They represent the wanderlust of Humankind.
  464.
  465. Now, because of these countless travels the primordial in its adventures, within the vicinity of the Mount Pavonis, the wake of the Primordial left some unusual phenomenon : The Wander Taxidion. It is like a meld of knots from the Lifestream that are intertwined between different worlds. An 'in-between' different realms caused by the passage of Chireus. Gates have appeared to allow such travels for others to visit. Alike to those gates you can see in the Tower of Aetius.
  466.
  467. And when humanity studied these gates, this is where we started to learn about the existence of ''Traversal Magic'', employing the power of the Primordial in an attempt to deciphering the language.
  468.
  469. And while trying to reverse engineer this magic, two schools have been created : Ergo Diareste, which is in today's language Riftmancy. And Ergo Tropo, which is Wayfinding.
  470.
  471. Before I continue with what is Wayfinding, does anyone have any question ?"
  472.
  473. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  474. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  475.
  476. [17:09] Sleet says, "Ah so its worse. Pure morons with egotistical petty behavior... Go figure."
  477. [17:12] Helena, Shrine Maiden nods softly, ever listening along.
  478. (Helena, Shrine Maiden)
  479. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  480.
  481. [17:14] The wings of Circe flutter in excitement once the topic shifted over towards Chireus and the Wanderer Taxidion. This particular aspect of her heritage was not one that the young leader of Viridian Grove was privy to yet -- all other aspects, that of Freedom, of Conviction, of Travel and Adventure, were ones she was intimately acquainted with.
  482.
  483. "The traversal magic..."
  484.
  485. Circe rubs at her chin, recalling when her mother would wayfind them places.
  486.
  487. "It uses a kind of runewriting, doesn't it?"
  488. (Circe)
  489. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  490.
  491. [17:14] Nera whispers: me and sven learnt the magics at the same time! form our teacher...and i t is nice no?
  492. [17:15] Iraark kept his head down as he continued writing. Svengalf was a great teacher if anything. Placing their own knowledge along with the mans words seemed to connect many dots for the goblin! Perhaps the time spent studying before this helped. He didn't allow his mind to falter as they bad mouthed the fel and such. Iraark was here for information only and thus he'd recieve the best he could! Until some question popped into his mind the little goblin would continue listening. Enjoying the lesson and the all incoming information!
  493. (Iraark)
  494. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  495.
  496. [17:15] Nera would smile and nod her head along, his class was good as always
  497. (Nera)
  498. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  499.
  500. [17:18] Ergo Topo, Rift walking, Riftmancy. It's noted in his books but not the kind of explanation someone who knows can give, books are not the same as a person who actually can do it.
  501.
  502. "So, as necromancy is anathema to us in the priesthood, Ergo Diareste, Riftmancy, is anathema to Wayfinding. I can understand that. But I can't understand how. How are they doing it without using the lfiestream?"
  503.
  504. When runewriting is mentioned he looks over to Circe, "That happens to be my main focus. Runecraft. Runewriting. Rune based rituals... Though I am still researching and still learning. I am combining runewriting with my Faith in Inki and Yama."
  505.
  506. Then he grows quiet so he can listen to the responses.
  507. (Sleet)
  508. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  509.
  510. [17:19] Svengalf had skillfully fielded his answers with clever allegories and a curation of myths, circumnavigating every question emergent with discussion. It wasn't long before their teacher was ready to proceed with the lesson, diving into the nomadic details of the primordial Chireus and the subsequent phenomena concurrent with his affinities and activities.
  511.
  512. Ergo Diareste, Ergo Tropo; the latter, in particular. Interesting.. Sytry folded his hands together as he continued listening to Svengalf attentively.
  513. (Sytry)
  514. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  515.
  516. [17:20] Oh thank Goodness she wasn't TOO late to the lessons. So far it seemed to be the theory. However the question would be on how much she had missed...The Doctor was at least competent enough to piece things together. You'd hope so at least considering her job descriptor.
  517.
  518. A lot of what she was starting to hear seemed to be more the history of the art so far. Had she missed the safety portion? She could hazard a guess to some of the risks. Teleporting under the ocean, inside a cave wall or walls in general.
  519.
  520. "...Mhh." Chrieus. That was the Pantheon of messengers was it not? She fixes up her glasses whilst she goes through a notepad, jotting down vague notes. "R-Runes are how I've seen those like Syne and Loramelione seem to...W-Well, vanish and appear elsewhere."
  521.
  522. "They do then ponder a question. "Then...T-These knots or...Gates. I assume the difference then is...M-methodology? One far more careless and theother...A-A much more methodical yet safer means of traversing through the Ley-lines of the lifestream?"
  523. (Galena Altha)
  524. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  525.
  526. [17:26] Sugarfoot made note of Sleet's question and its answer. He found these topics to be quite scary, not that he was scared of course, but still. Best not to mess with things that sort of thing. It wouldn't do him any good to turn into a Skeleton or be an Antithesis. Whatever that meant, sounded bad enough.
  527.
  528. 11. Moros is Despair and Despair tried to conquer the easel of creation except Pylae bodied them and now they're Helheim and they turned other Primordial's evil.
  529.
  530. 12. Amier, Space Constant, blew himself up and made ten smaller gods but just cause theys smaller don't mean they ain't the baddest around!
  531.
  532. 13. Amiers children that were bodyparts then shaped Meranthe and the other realms. Kinda like locks for Helheim, Teraheim hey I know this one! Well, its like the first lock and it has the other rampant primordials inside.
  533.
  534. Sugarfoot slowed as he furrowed a brow. Wow this was getting complicated wasn't it? Looking up he paused for a few moments before continuing to jot down a few more notes. These were mostly smaller things though and didn't get their own numbers.
  535.
  536. Except it was big so he had to erase it and re-write it more clearly. 14. Chireus is the primordial messenger and its a rainbow bird who can fly faster than- Oh, its a fragment of space so space doens't matter so it just is where it wants to be when it wants to be it.
  537.
  538. Sugarfoot blinked as he re-read that paragraph and thought about re-writing it but honestly? He'd no clue how to put his thoughts together any more clearly so with a shrug he just continued to listen.
  539.
  540. 15. Mount Pavonis is a convergent spot creating the Wander Taxidion which is a meld of lifestream knots connecting the various realities together. Super shortcut basically.
  541.
  542. 16. Two Schools exist immolating Chierues Ergo Diareste, Riftmancy, and Ergo Tronpo, Wayfinding.
  543.
  544. Raising a hand, pencil still clenched between his fingers. "Yea, what's Ergo Diareste? Riftmancy that is."
  545.
  546. While a lot of what Sandsker had just said was a little, read very, confusing to Sugarfoot he felt confident that he could work it out later. It wasn't until Sleet, the Shark guy with a monotonous voice, said that Riftmancy was obvious that Sugarfoot shrunk back down.
  547.
  548. Oh, yeah, of course it'd just mean the reverse. "Nevermind." Though, at the mention of Runecraft his ears perked back up again. Well, well, what was that all about?
  549. (Sugarfoot)
  550. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  551.
  552. [17:27] Regalus was simply happily writing upon his massive floating book. Passages effortlessly written without so much as a pause... as if they had already long been there.
  553.
  554. Nonetheless, nearby students could here him predominantly between two pages: Of Wayfinding and Of Creation.
  555.
  556. A summary split into these two pages, writ on relevance. Seems Regalus is hitting two birds with one stone, and is quite the more happy for it.
  557. (Regalus)
  558. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  559.
  560. [17:28] Towards Circe, he nods.
  561.
  562. "Indeed. Wayfinding employs Runecasting as its method of practice. More information about the school of Wayfinding after ! And as for how to Runecast? We will cover it on the second Lesson."
  563.
  564. Towards Sleet, he replies.
  565. "More like, Witchery is the anathema to Faith. Necromancy would be the opposite of Spiritmancy, if done right. But Riftmancy is the opposite of Wayfinding Indeed. I will explain why after."
  566.
  567. Towards Galena, he nods once more.
  568. "Indeed. Riftmancy and Wayfinding both use Traversal Magic, but with a different method. I will explain more about their differences after."
  569.
  570. Same for Sugarfoot, in which he leaves a small chuckle.
  571.
  572. "If there are no further questions in that regards, then may we proceed with the last bit left to talk : Wayfinding?"
  573. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  574. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  575.
  576. [17:29] Sleet says, "Ah so necromancy opposes spiritmancy and Faith opposes witchery."
  577. [17:29] Sleet has no questions.
  578. (Sleet)
  579. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  580.
  581. [17:31] Circe exclaims, "None more from me!"
  582. [17:32] Argos D'Amico says, "None here, either."
  583. [17:33] Katrina Astalet says, "Go right ahead."
  584. [17:34] Helena, Shrine Maiden says, "I have no questions at this time, friend."
  585. [17:34] Nera says, "Reed"
  586. [17:34] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Greetings Sister."
  587. [17:36] Sugarfoot nodded along as if he'd not asked a dumb question that was obvious to anyone with a few coins to rub together. After all wasn't cool to admit mistakes! Like his great-great-great-grandgooblin had always said. 'Get outta my sweets-jar you wretched fool of a foot!' The memory brought a smile to the youthful goblin's lips.
  588.
  589. Blinking as if realizing he'd been asked a question he hummed for a few moments. "Ain't we been talking about Wayfinding this whole time? Cause like its Chirues' magic we're mimicking and he's the essence of spacetravel which is crossing the life-stream, which is everything connected together..."
  590.
  591. His brows knitted tightly, words coming slowly as if through great effort. One could almost see the mental cogs of Sugarfoots mind turning. "Which is all painted on Creation's easel and we're... Ah, thought I had something there but lost it."
  592.
  593. Waving his hand the effort of trying to piece together what he'd been told so far giving him a headache. "Nah, go ahead I'm listenin'"
  594. (Sugarfoot)
  595. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  596.
  597. [17:36] * You have been awarded 6 Levels! *
  598. [17:38] Sleet says, "I think he means the last bit of wayfinding he wishes to cover for this particular class, Sugarfoot."
  599. [17:38] Nera says, "Reeed"
  600. [17:38] Nera says, "Adventure soon."
  601. [17:38] Nera says, "Kinda"
  602. [17:38] Reeds Moraine asks, "Soon?"
  603. [17:39] Nera says, "Soon"
  604. [17:39] Bargha says, "Bingo."
  605. [17:39] Reeds Moraine says, "S o o n ."
  606. [17:39] Sugarfoot says, "Oh, duh yeah-sure that's obvious. I knew that was just testing you all. Rightio."
  607. [17:39] Nera says, "Hi barghaa dn renafeee"
  608. [17:40] Sugarfoot seemed to have lost his serious demeanor which was frankly? Exhausting, he didn't know how they did it.
  609. (Sugarfoot)
  610. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  611.
  612. [17:41] Bargha says, "Hello Nera."
  613. [17:41] Bargha says, "And hey Elise."
  614. [17:41] Elise Corbin says, "Hi Bargha and Ren."
  615. [17:41] Circe exclaims, "Hi Bargha, hey Ren!"
  616. [17:42] Nera asks, "Guh?"
  617. [17:43] Argos D'Amico says, "Hey, guys."
  618. [17:44] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Alright Asher"
  619. [17:44] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "I'm at 34 thousand wood."
  620. [17:44] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "I just ned 16 thousand more."
  621. [17:47] Asher Kasca says, "Get to chopping."
  622. [17:47] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "I just got done."
  623. [17:47] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Got a quick 1000 wood."
  624. [17:47] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Out of energy for now."
  625. [17:48] Nera says, "Asheer no bully my grandchild"
  626. [17:48] Nera says, "Otehr wise bonk"
  627. [17:48] Asher Kasca says, "I'm not bullying her."
  628. [17:49] The lapine nods towards Sleet.
  629.
  630. "Yes, about the art itself now. As we have covered now the history of the Universe, and how we have discovered Traversal magic, we can finally talk about the disciple of Wayfainding.
  631.
  632. Otherwise, I see you are grasping the knowledge pretty easily !"
  633.
  634. The lapine smiles, satisfied. He nods, clearing his throat once again.
  635.
  636. "So. The school of Wayfinding, in which is our subject. Its tenets are the following : Accuracy, Familiarity, Transcendent Understanding, Meticulousness Planification. It involves the study and understanding of the world we live upon.
  637.
  638. I have mentionned like, the Lifestream being the veins of the Universe. Consider the Universe like a living body, in which location is a specific part of the universe's anatomy. And this body is depicted as a tall, magnificent tree of an unimaginable size. A tree housed in the Spirit World, the Netherworld, in which each branches leads to another realm. This tree is called Yggdrasil, the Tree of Convergence. Also as the Tree of Life.
  639.
  640. Wayfinding is about pinpointing these locations in the world, then tracing a route in between two points. And once the route is traced, we use the Lifestream to directly travel towards the Destination.
  641.
  642. In a metaphor, imagine you want to travel a river to reach the sea from the submit of a mountain. You take a map, and you establish which route you have to sail. Considering the risks, calculating the travel time, preparing your equipment, until you find the ideal route and sail safely on it.
  643.
  644. Thus why Wayfinding is methodologic art, that. It requires careful concentration, preparation. Focus. Unlike regular casting which is based upon emotions, Wayfinding is closer to the Temple, the mind. And casting from the mind means : runecasting. This is why Wayfinding Portals employs runes !
  645.
  646. Although rest is reassured. You do not need to be artificier to runecast. It may help, but anyone can runecast with proper patience."
  647.
  648. He marks a pause, as he shifts in a more serious tone.
  649.
  650. "As for Riftmancy, its tenets are about spontanity, adaptation, assertiveness. Unlike wayfinding who is about preparation, Riftmancy is trial and error, all about experimentation. Thus, this leads to a forceful art that causes damage through these mistakes.
  651.
  652. If wayfinding is sailing in the most optimized route, riftmancy is like building dams straightforward, clogging the river if that needs to be. It's brute force."
  653.
  654. A small nod is given, and then he concludes.
  655.
  656. "While Riftmancy excels then at the improvisation and quickness, it lacks precision and control. Wayfinding is more accurate and safe, but it requires more preparation in comparaison.
  657.
  658. Any questions ?"
  659.
  660. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  661. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  662.
  663. [17:49] Akroma S. Pradesh chuckles.
  664. (Akroma S. Pradesh)
  665. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  666.
  667. [17:50] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Hmm...."
  668. [17:50] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "We need to figure out things to auction off."
  669. [17:50] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "I'll figure something out."
  670. [17:50] Bargha says, "It's certainly a more... poetic version of describing Wayfinding than I'm used to."
  671. [17:50] Iris says, "Wayfinding's all about the art."
  672. [17:50] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Lets go, we don't want to disturb the class."
  673. [17:50] Reeds Moraine says, "...Yeah, we're only halfway to upgrading the current Defense Wards..."
  674. [17:50] Svengalf Sandsker says, "It is a proper science, yes."
  675. [17:50] Bargha says, "To me it's all about the, uh, clinical results."
  676. [17:50] Circe says, "Pretty science-y... I think I understand the basis of it, though."
  677. [17:50] Akroma S. Pradesh says, "Reeds did you want to come along."
  678. [17:51] Bargha says, "There's more wiggle room than you might imagine, thankfully."
  679. [17:51] Elise Corbin says, "I wonder.."
  680. [17:51] Iris says, "It's a labor of love."
  681. [17:51] Elise Corbin asks, "Might there be a bug that uses wayfinding?"
  682. [17:51] Nera says, "Hrgn"
  683. [17:51] Reeds Moraine says, "Don'tknowwhatwe'redoingbutImightaswell."
  684. [17:51] Svengalf Sandsker says, "There is still then the practice to do. But all of this knowledge will help you understand later how to prepare the requires runes."
  685. [17:52] Bargha says, "The real meat comes in learning how to vary them."
  686. [17:52] Bargha says, "Which... was not fun."
  687. [17:54] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Thus why, one of Wayfinding's primary tenet is familiarity. To learn and understand better how locations are different and unique to each other places."
  688. [17:54] Svengalf Sandsker says, "If you want to teleport to ''a sandy beach'', there are so many of them in the world. Good luck figuring which one based upon this description."
  689. [17:54] Svengalf Sandsker chuckles, amused.
  690. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  691. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  692.
  693. [17:54] Bargha says, "Mhm. For the love of Gods, when you start to practice please start small and local."
  694. [17:55] Svengalf Sandsker says, "And with throwing objects first, like a stone. Or clam shells."
  695. [17:55] Circe asks, "Hmmm?! Who the heck do you take me for, eh?"
  696. [17:55] Bargha says, "A student."
  697. [17:55] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Someone who lives by freedom, wanderlust, and exploration."
  698. [17:55] Svengalf Sandsker grins towards Circe.
  699. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  700. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  701.
  702. [17:55] Circe says, "Oop--"
  703. [17:55] Circe says, "He got me."
  704. [17:55] Argos D'Amico says, "Rune . . ."
  705. [17:56] Elise Corbin says, "Haha.."
  706. [17:56] Iris exclaims, "It's the only way to be!"
  707. [17:56] Iris says, "Only one life to live, Circe."
  708. [17:56] Circe exclaims, "The adventure never ends!"
  709. [17:56] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Certainly the first wayfinders have met some ''accidents'' on the way to practice."
  710. [17:56] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Until properly refined."
  711. [17:56] Bargha says, "So many reincarnation speedruns..."
  712. [17:57] Bargha says, "At least I only almost killed one person when I was learning."
  713. [17:57] Bargha says, "And it wasn't even me."
  714. [17:57] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Actually, this is why Riftmancy was the first ''school'' of traversal magic."
  715. [17:57] Svengalf Sandsker nods towards Bargha.
  716. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  717. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  718.
  719. [17:58] Bargha says, "Yeah, just like a hammer was the first lockpick."
  720. [17:58] Iraark couldn't help but laugh as it seemed true from the words alone.
  721. (Iraark)
  722. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  723.
  724. [17:58] Svengalf Sandsker bursts with a sudden chuckle to such statement, nodding.
  725. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  726. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  727.
  728. [17:58] Svengalf Sandsker says, "Indeed."
  729. [17:58] Argos D'Amico says, "Hammers are multi-purpose tools."
  730. [17:58] "...A-A more fitting metaphor for myself would be uhm..." She says in thought after the mention of rivers and calculating the turbulent waves. "W-Would be how we use blood magic in veins." This is all muttered as she begins to jot down notes.
  731.
  732. Like using a contrast to path out the many hundreds of winding paths in the body, a wayfinder was to similarly figure out where each path goes and figuring out which path will lead to where they wish to be.
  733.
  734. And then there was the mention of...Runes. She looks down at some of the very thinly drawn crimson runes upon her clothing. Well, if it involved runes like the kind she used for artificing? This may be less complex than she thought it could be.
  735.
  736. "...A-And Riftmancy would be like...Tearing open t-the body just to locate what you need to find the two points." They comment to themselves. A few more notes are jotted down.
  737.
  738. Familiarity, accuracy, meticulous planning and transcendent understanding...Transcendant understanding? Now what could that mean? She keeps quiet for the moment.
  739. (Galena Altha)
  740. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  741.
  742. [17:59] Argos D'Amico says, "I don't use them, granted - if I can't open a lock, I usually just disassemble it."
  743. [17:59] Argos D'Amico says, "And I just make nails go in."
  744. [18:05] If Sugarfoot was finding the lesson a little out of his scope before it certainly felt that way now. Not exactly the brightest tool in the shed but what he lacked in raw unbridled intelligence he made up for in stubbornness.
  745.
  746. Who cares if his head was splitting like he'd been hit between the eyes with a pick. He wouldn't back down from the beast that was academia. No sir, not him, not the one and only Sugarfoot.
  747.
  748. 17. Yggdrasil is the Tree of Convergence in layman's speak that would mean the Tree of Life. Consider this the physical universe in which the other worlds are incorporated within.
  749.
  750. 18. Wayfinding's core tenets are as follows. Accuracy, Familiarity, Transcendent Understanding, Meticulousness, Planification. Study and understanding of the world around oneself is the key to applying these Tenets and practicing the art of Wayfinding.
  751.
  752. 19. One must utilize perfect knowledge of two places within the world and the path between them in order to accurately utilize Wayfinding.
  753.
  754. Sighing the youth set down the pencil, wringing his hands a little. This was more writing than he'd done in his entire life. Looking back up he decided to listen for a while and simply write down what was said at a later date.
  755.
  756. The knowledge of how Runecasting interacted with Wayfinding made sense and it meant that studying, and a lot of it, was in Sugarfoots future if he wished to ever actually learn the art itself. Perhaps he should first start with Rune's since they seemed easier? Bite sized bits of knowledge to master.
  757.
  758. At the request for questions Sugarfoot's head swayed side to side. He was slowly starting to grasp things a little clearer and it'd probably be best to just absorb what was said.
  759. (Sugarfoot)
  760. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  761.
  762. [18:05] The lapine observes towards Galena, nodding afterward.
  763.
  764. "That's also a good comparaison, yes. To follow the blood veins, or cut through the veins."
  765.
  766. He then observes the rest of the students.
  767.
  768. "Any more questions ?"
  769. (Svengalf Sandsker)
  770. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  771.
  772. [18:08] Katrina Astalet says, "I think I have asked all I wish to ask for the moment."
  773. [18:08] Katrina Astalet says, "But thank you for the lesson."
  774. [18:08] Circe exclaims, "Nothin' on me, either!"
  775. [18:08] The lapine smiles, clapping his hands !
  776.
  777. "Wonderful ! This concludes our class today.
  778.
  779. Although! I have one Homework for you ! Remember, when I mentioned the tenet of Familiarity? Next Lesson, we will be trying to teleport something into a very, particular island : the one with the Sewers dungeon. I want you to visit this island. Look upon their surroundings, remember the image of that island, and tap into the environnemental mana to get a feeling of that area. This will be helpful to set our destination.
  780.
  781. Any questions ?"
  782.
  783. (Svengalf Sandsker)
