I had woken up in the freezing cabin. The nearby leaders made an attempt to rouse us from our bunks, but our sleeping bags seemed to say “if you leave us you’ll become a scout-sickle”! Only a few brave scouts dared take this chance, who got up and tried convinced the others to do the same. With the exception of two scouts: Shawn and Andrew. They had gone down to get water. To actually get to our camp site you have to hike about 1 mile, and half way is a well. This can be dangerous when said trail is covered by ice and hidden by snow.
We had all gotten up by now and we had wondered where they were.  Just then Shawn had practically kicked down the door screaming “Andrew slipped on the Ice!” and before I could volunteer a dozen scouts offered to go help him. I latter realized that that could have happened to anyone in our troop.
